I was on my way home from an appointment and stopped in to give this place a try. I'd driven by it quite a few times and had it on my coffee bucket list. It's near Hotel Lincoln, Lincoln Park Zoo, where Wells and Clark meet. On a weekday late morning, there were a fair amount of people there. There was plenty of seating and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. They have a good variety of specialty drinks as well as other food and drink items. There was one barista working, so I want to be consciousness of how that impacted the experience. The wait time to order was very slow and there was no one ahead of me. Seemed to be a generally slow-going process in making drinks in general. I purchased the poppyseed muffin and an iced latte. The muffin was "ok." It didn't have a particular flavor or taste. The latte was really good. I think their coffee game is on point. Next time I go, I may try some other bakery or food items. I will definitely be back for some coffee. My friend and I stopped in to Society Coffee for a quick business meeting and we had a great experience! I got the warmed Apricot Croissant which was the best combination of soft, fluffy, and crispy, and I also got a vanilla latte. The espresso was smooth and chocolatey with very low acidity and no bitterness. The space is so cozy and clean and welcoming, and the baristas are super friendly and kind. Having been in the zoo, we wanted to find a little spot to warm up and have a coffee! The door/space wasn't stroller-friendly, so we split up the group to run in to get some coffee and snacks. The red velvet cookie was absolutely delicious, and we tried the seasonal Ember Mocha. It was nice but perhaps not as spicy as I was hoping, the mocha flavor came through the strongest. Very cute store - we stopped in quickly to grab my bf a coffee after the farmer's market! Love all the lighting and the layout of the place. There's a lot of seating but it gets busy - we had to wait for a group to leave before we could grab a table that four of us. I tried my boyfriend's coffee and it was pretty good. He likes a plain latte with normal milk, but it wasn't sweet enough for me. Next time we go back I'll have to try one of the flavored drinks or a tea. Definitely recommend! read more

The cashier was extremely patient and answered our questions, they even gave a sample of the Golden Milk - which was made in house. Very friendly barista! Great specialty options. I got a Nutella latte which didn't have a lot of Nutella (or even chocolate) flavor but was still good. Also got a chia chocolate muffin which was a little small for the price but delicious. Love the photographs on the walls. They have decaf espresso which is always great. read more

I stopped by here before heading to the farmers market and I must say what a great decision. The staff is amazing. They are so nice and very quick. The coffee is amazing as well. It has a nice roast that not too bitter. The food selection is amazing if you need a quick bite. The place also is beautiful on the inside. Although I think it's a bit overpriced and my latte didn't have much flavor other than the flavor of "milk". I did get vanilla syrup too and couldn't even taste it. Definitely don't come on a Saturday- they can't handle the capacity with the farmers market traffic coming through. Stopped in here randomly for an afternoon coffee. Got an iced americano and it was 10/10. It has the perfect amount of ice and the coffee is just the right bitterness, but not burnt. They also had so many different pastries and snack foods. Prices are very reasonable for where it's located. Service was fast and the ambiance is very chill, but the space is small. Solid coffee. I generally rate a coffee shop based on the drip coffee. I prefer a darker roast and they have a good one, called Robot _____. I forgot the full name, but it's good and chocolatey. Not a French roast but full bodied. The service is great as the barista was able to give me a description of their roasts to help me decide. I'll probably go back for a macchiato in the afternoon.
