A great little coffee shop, with super friendly staff and plenty of seating. I drop in here whenever I am going to REI, next door. The iced amaretto latte tastes like an almond croissant. A delicious sweet treat, that's not overly sweet. They used good quality espresso and oat milk. I prefer my lattes, "short" (with less milk) and they have no problem accommodating that. Super weird energy at this spot--and I'm super bummed I went here since it now breaks my five-star streak Phenomenal coffee--love a local roaster that serves drinks in gorgeous growlers, but ultimately things fell apart due to some hostility instead of hospitality. We left with a refund. Vibe at the counter left us feeling harshed, judged and chastised for ordering a double shot on ice with foam on top: Staff member chirps, "so you want a macchiato?" ::rolls eyes:: "Oh, didn't know that it's called that," I reply, kinda blown away by the attitude. ::Doesn't even look up, just sighs to self: "Yesss it issss". We pay and sit down. They serve us the wrong drinks. No ice. Hot macchiatos with milk in coffee--no foam. ::bruhhhhh:: I walk up to the counter, explain the situation, mention the previous drink and how great it was: all I'm asking is to make it one more time :) They deny. Lady in back says it's against policy (I guess cause f*ck ice) but fr... it's hot and I want a drink they're now refusing to make. I ask for a refund, then wade through a deep and awkward silence while they serve a refund with a side of snark. We leave. Only downside is that Printer's Row is a Chicago historic district along Dearborn in the South Loop. If Chicago transplants moving from their midwest town to the suburban mall that is North/Clybourn start calling this area Printers Row we're gonna know who to blame. Medium roast Brazilian drip was on point, low acidity and notes of hazelnut. The for-here ceramic mug was smaller than expected at I'm guessing 8oz, and didn't come with a refill. I got a chance to come here when I was getting my car serviced and needed time to kill. The whole space is super cute with a bunch of different tables + chargers against the wall for WFH. The staff was kind. I tried their matcha with their homemade seasonal ginger snap syrup - it was delicious! It's a really nice atmosphere, it's large and bright with a variety of seating options. However, my coffee honestly tasted like nothing. It was a cold brew with oat milk and amaretto. It didn't have a strong coffee taste or a strong amaretto taste. It didn't even have a strong oat milk taste! It was really meh overall, which was surprising and disappointing. They also don't have food, just a few granola bars. Seems like a great place for a cup of pour over, nothing fancy flavored, and to sit and get some work done. read more

I moved to Old Town this past July and have been looking for a go to coffee spot for a while now. I absolutely love this spot, it's only a 15 minute walk from my apartment but it's totally worth it. The employees are really friendly here, and since I usually order a cold brew with nothing in it, they pour it really quickly so I barely have to wait even if there's a long line. The cold brew itself was very smooth and it's not too bold of a flavor which I really like. The atmosphere is also very pleasant. It's very spacious if you need to get work done and their patio has plenty of seating, perfect for a fall Sunday morning. Will definitely be back soon! read more

This place is one of my new favorite places to go for coffee! The staff are friendly and there is a lot of space! You can sit both inside and outside. There are many outlets inside. Absolutely love that they don't charge extra for their milk alternatives here! And the lattes taste great. The only things I'd love to see them do differently in the future is adding some vegan pastries and having a water refill station somewhere accessible to customers! Everything about Printer's Row is classy, beautiful, spacious, and just what you need for a day working remotely. They have outlets throughout the space, different types of tables and chairs for whatever you are feeling (or whatever is available) and you can easily spend a whole day here comfortably. Whenever I'm here, I go ahead and get a cappuccino. Their coffee is reliable and I really like that they don't charge extra for plant milks! They do have a good variety of pastries if you're interested, but I do tend to notice they run out quickly and there is barely much left if you stop by later on. It's nice they have street parking nearby as well. I highly recommend this coffee shop!!! read more

I already loved the original Printer's Row for coffee but there's not much room to work. Their second location solves that with a spacious inside and lots of natural light. Just brewed happiness in a cup! Checked out @printersrowcoffee on Kingsbury street over the weekend to try the Cinnamon Toast Crunch iced latte! The coffee did taste like the cereal after drinking it for a bit, it doesn't hit you right away but it got better to what we expected! The service was not the best honestly we walked in and were asking questions about the menu since we've never been there before and the girls working didn't want to give us any help so we just got what we came for and left, it was definitely a weird experience, but the coffee was good! Beautiful cafe with great coffee and really kind, friendly baristas. It's a very spacious place with very nice furniture (an underappreciated aspect of the cafe experience) and an open, airy feel without glaringly sunlit windows. The coffee is top-tier and roasted right in the shop (and so on the expensive end, like a La Colombe or Intelligentsia), and I haven't tried the food because it seems like there isn't much and it had all sold out by 11am. But I attracted no attention or complaint when I brought back a bagel and a pastry from the Whole Foods nearby. On that note, the baristas are especially kind and warm, which is a very welcome experience at a nice coffee shop. A diverse staff as well, which is a big plus. I'll certainly come back! read more
