With that in mind, the phrase "Happy Monday!" is an oxymoron, even though I send it every week in the Teams chat. Something that helps fight the Monday blues? Coffee! Yet, despite their oxymoronic name, Happy Monday Coffee is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. As someone who doesn't often make coffee runs during the workday, this means my coffee time is relegated to lunch. Some more expanded hours would be helpful not only to me and others like me but also to boost business. Where the coffee itself is concerned, I love the creativity displayed in the latte selections. Even as someone who is not a big latte lover, this is the kind of beverage I always get here. Are these the greatest things ever? No. However, I can't fault them too much, as lattes by design hide the bite of espresso under milk and often sugar. The vibe inside is relaxed and modern-boho, with a tasteful DJ set playing at a reasonable volume on the flatscreen. While I always take my coffee to go, it seems like a comfortable place to relax with a cup for a bit. Finally, I want to give credit to the service. While there isn't often a long line, service is consistently friendly, welcoming, and fast. Their prices aren't the cheapest around, but they are in line with what I'd expect for premium beverages in a high-traffic, downtown area. Final Verdict: Does Happy Monday have the best coffee anywhere that has me stopping in religiously? No. However, as someone who drinks soda rather rarely, when I am craving a solid and creative latte while at the office, Happy Monday is the first place that comes to mind. read more

i stopped by because i saw that they sold a latte in a honey bear bottle and i knew i needed to have it!! i went in thinking the drink would just be alright but no it was actually so delicious & not overly sweet!! the service was very average, there is some inside seating and noticed people were working from there so it seemed like a great working cafe vs one to meet up with a friend because it was really quiet inside. the vibes inside were super cute! was definitely pricey for a latte so may not get that again regularly but would definitely be back read more

Cute little coffee shop nestled in The Loop. Tiny spot, so it was hard finding places to sit. Thankfully some people left and we sat in the cozy chairs at the front. Service was OK, the woman running the cash register seemed frazzled and the barista (who may have been the owner..?) was very rude to her when she asked questions. I felt bad for her. Pastries were tasty, not much variety though. The coffee was delish, but if you get a sweetened latte make sure to get it half sweet if you don't like superrrrrr sweet coffee. First meal I had in Chicago! I came in with friends on a Friday morning to grab some breakfast. The place was busy and there appeared to only be one person working so there was also a bit of a wait. We ordered three drinks and a breakfast sandwich to share. To our surprise, not only was there a charge for alternative milk, but there was also a charge to have the drink iced. It made a drink cost nearly $10. Fortunately enough, the drinks tasted really good. I ordered the Grandma's Bag (butterscotch latte) and the flavor was on point. Definitely a cute little cafe with really good service since they answered questions and helped make our drinks better when we made poor life choices in not understanding the menu. That said, their espresso here runs on the lighter roast side where there isn't as much chocolate/nut/butter tones but more fruity floral. Their recipes are definitely interesting and balanced; for example, the Bee Sting had a nice, light yet creamy earthiness to it but hit with a small spicy, sweet kick that lasted only for a moment before finishing with milk -- every taste was pretty much mild throughout, with nothing clashing or fighting with each other .. just different throughout the sip. Cute little coffee shop, kind of hidden right off the corner of wabash and Adams. Limited menu but highly flavorful and nice experience. There are comfy basket chairs or swing chairs, bar stools, few tables but cozy feel. We enjoyed plugging in our laptops and working for a bit. I got a hot tea that was off menu called honey honey - that had tumeric, ginger, and some other things I can't recall. We were staying at the Palmer Hotel and my husband walked here to get us a quick breakfast! I had a hot vanilla latte with almond milk to drink, it was pretty standard but just what I was looking for. The pastries we got were really good--the cinnamon roll and the blueberry lemon scone. We heated both of them up at our hotel which made them even better! The cinnamon roll had a cream cheese icing, that was the best part. I liked that you could equally taste the blueberry and lemon flavors in the scone. When looking at their menu after the fact, I saw they have some tasty looking house specialty drinks. Stopped by this cute cafe on a Saturday morning before my Pickleball practice. They have a limited but very creative drinks menu. I ordered Thyme is Honey which is a Cinnamon Iced Latte with Almond milk and it was so delicious. It is served in a cute bear plastic bottle that you can take along with you! The aesthetic of this place is modern, chic and classy. They just have undertones of white and gold which looked pretty good. They barely have any food options but a lot of creative drinks with ingredients like Ube or Kachava. Definitely coming back to try more drinks from them. They have a lot of seating space too. We were looking for a coffee shop and quick bites near jewelers row and were so pleasantly surprised to find this local coffee shop! Goddess and the grocer had long waits and we were able to be immediately served here! They had a nice tea selection and our drinks were great. We wished we'd come earlier, they were sold out of bakery items before we arrived. We did try their breakfast sandwich though and that hit the spot. The bun was soft and it had a sharp cheddar cheese, I loved it! My partner ate it, but would have preferred a milder cheese. The space is clean and inviting and they have some fun merch including mugs and cards available for purchase. I'll definitely be visiting again when I'm in the area. Hands down, this is one of my favorite coffee places. Their lattes are always so good. Very little seating and they have missed my pickup orders a couple of times. But I still give them five stars because the lattes are that good. Some baristas are nice, some meh. If you do manage to get a seat, it is a nice place to work at. Came here on a Saturday looking for a nice quiet place to get some work done and was SO happy to have found one here. The place is a comfortable size and there is enough seating that a good number of people can fit. I got their thyme latte which came in the most adorable bear cup! The latte was incredible and you could just taste a hint of thyme. I found the work space very comfortable and was able to be quite productive. Note that they don't have their own bathroom.
