I like that is it fairly quiet, even though there were a bunch of people working; we were still able to talk and not feel like we needed to whisper. They have a good amount of tables and a small couch which we sat on. I think the Queen B sign is a cute added touch! The staff were also very friendly. I ordered the Nutella latte, and I was very pleased with it, because it was not overly sweet. My daughter really enjoyed the croissant, which was very large and so buttery and soft. read more

Loved our quick stop at this cafe! Did not expect it to be completely packed when we walked in but thankfully someone was leaving when we arrived and the super kind staff helped find us an extra seat. I got a freddo cappuccino which was delicious and my husband got the large house drip coffee which came in a little carafe with an extra cookie on the side which was a beautiful presentation. The vibe is upscale yet cozy, with a clear attention to detail and personal touch in everything from the decor to the menu. The iced coffee was a standout smooth, flavorful, and tasted like it was freshly brewed right over ice. No bitterness, just bold and refreshing. I ended up staying for brunch and ordered the Queen's Egg and Potato Skillet. Easily one of the best brunch dishes I've had at a café fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and plated beautifully. The staff was also exceptional friendly, warm, and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed being there, which only added to the charm. All in all, a fantastic find. They were pretty quick, and nobody was rude but I have had friendlier interactions at a grocery store. Brand new cafe in Lakeview and this is a spot to check out!! It is soo cute inside and such good vibes. There are so many tables too which is lovely. They offer SO many options for coffee, teas and they even have smoothies! I've tried two different coffees here and each one has been amazing. Do not forget that they have food and it is unreal! There is a water dispenser that dispenses regular & sparkling water. Cozy nooks to dine / work. To go iced drinks are in a boba can container (think, Te'amo). Even the napkins (adorned by the signature golden bee) are made of thick ply. Can't wait to try their breakfast menu next. So happy this coffee shop opened up in the hood! read more

Not sure what the three star reviews are about--I actually review coffee shops for travel magazines. Queen B ranks among Chicago's top 5 indies: Ritual, Hexe, Perkolator, and Jackalope on the South Side rounding out the lot. A lot of care has gone into making this a clean, super-bright place and the only one I know that offers sparkling water and a side sweet-- madeleines, chocolate truffles or butter cookies--as complementaries. Rewards program, solid WiFi, spotless bathrooms and yes, very solid coffee along with a well rounded selection of eats such as mascarpone-stuffed French toast. The Greek owners--Tassos, Christos and Stellios--have taken great pains to make this a first-class joint that is even dog friendly (unlike other spots such as Backlot, that will make you wait outside if you bring your pooch, even in the dead of winter). Chicago was aching for a Euro-coffee shop and this is it. A new jewel in Chicago's coffee scene, up there with Larry's Folly in Toronto and "% Arabica" in Brooklyn's DUMBO section. Leaving a review because to be honest, I feel like this is maybe the best cafe I've gone to Chicago yet. I come to Queen B probably once every two weeks (sometimes more!) to get a cappuccino and occasionally grab a pastry or two. My husband and I come here for breakfast maybe once a month. First, the espresso drinks are delicious - creamy, smooth, and strong (But not bitter). Secondly, the homemade pastries are phenomenal. I crave the avocado toast with poached eggs on a regular basis. If that wasn't enough - the space is warm, inviting, and cozy. The music isn't playing loudly, they have sparkling water on tap, and free WiFi. The baristas and the owner are extremely friendly. Although I haven't yet, you could easily work remotely or find a cozy nook to read a book. Run, don't walk to this European style coffee shop! read more

What a GREAT surprise. I was looking for coffee and a place to chill and this awesome little spot popped up, it's conveniently located on a corner with ample street parking. I was skeptical to go in because there was another coffee shop across the street (why are they so close together), however the coffee shop across the street had closed at 4pm (I do not understand being closed on a Friday afternoon), but anyway. We walked in and was greeted by the hostess and the barista. The coffee was great, the service was awesome, and OH MY!! I had the Nutella Croissant, which is made there on the premises and my partner had the Lemon pound cake both were delicious. I had to fight myself not to get another croissant or two! Don't just take my word for this spot. Go yourself! By the way, I live on the Southside and was there for an appointment.
