I'm a regular at the Buena Park location and have been coming here for over seven years, which is why I wanted to share this feedback. The main issue lately is the drink pickup process. The shop used to take customer names, and it worked much better during busy times. Now it can be chaotic--orders are hard to hear, people miss their drinks, and drinks often get mixed up. In the past week alone, I've accidentally taken the wrong drink twice, and I've also had someone take mine. Meanwhile, staff spend time sorting out orders while the line keeps growing. A simple solution would be to start taking names again. It would make pickups more organized, reduce mistakes, and help lines move faster for both customers and staff. read more

They have vegan donuts from Beacon and vegan cream cheese for bagels! What more could you ask for. Plus there's tons of seating, though if you're trying to work from here during the day, it goes get quite busy. If you are working from here, tho, can you please not be on calls?! Overpriced and horrible. This is a coffee shop and the regular/americano coffee is not good. Expensive for something I threw in the trash. I drink it black--if your coffee is good you should not have to mask it with sugar and froth. read more

I love this location of dollop! They beacon donuts! My favorite drinks are the honey cinnamon almond milk iced latte, decaf cold brew with maple + room for oat milk, and almond joy mocha! The baristas are all very friendly. There is also a play area with a train set in the back which is a great spot for play dates for my 2 year old! read more

Coffee was okay the bagel was dry and had very little cream cheese. Wouldn't go back. My exact order was large iced coffee with Nutella didn't taste like that with a splash of almond milk and a everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and the bagel was blah and very little cream cheese melted in the bagel read more

A very nice and professional associate at the till, but the masks on employees and the absurd policy of not taking cash will keep me from ever returning, and I will tell others to pass on the business as well. read more

Friendly service. Perfect setup for a work from home type of day. They have a back room with extra space and it super quiet. Next to that is a game room and couch which is cozy. They have wifi and sell some cute concha earrings which my sister loved! My coffee was nice and strong, perfect for an early morning. What an eclectic , funky coffee shop. It is located in the uptown neighborhood. This is where you go for a "not your cookie cutter" coffee shop experience! Handmade and creative beverages. They have wonderful private label coffee, amazing vegan pastries and great sandwiches. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It is evident that the diverse neighborhood is supported by this shop. What a lovely spot! I stopped in on a chilly Friday morning after a walk by the lake. It was my first time in, and I loved how cozy it is! My eyes were immediately drawn to the Nutella mocha on the menu and you guys it was AMAZING. I'm not sure why I've never had Nutella in my coffee before but I'm not sure I will ever go back. Seriously so good, I can't wait to come back. I also got an everything bagel with cream cheese and it was delicious--love an intense amount of cream cheese :) So excited to come back to this gem all winter! read more

I've never been to this specific location but have been to the one downtown and have loved it . I ordered a cinnamon honey latte - pretty good , tasted like cinnamon and honey. My friends both got other lattes and a got chocolate both of which were essentially cold when they made it to us. The barista asked how hot we'd like the lattes (after I went back to get my friend a new one). I wasn't aware that there were multiple levels of hot for a coffee .. she was nice and remade the latte for my friend , which came out a bit better . The music was less then ideal , they were pumping black eyed peas through the speaker making me cringe the entire time I'd probably choose a different coffee spot next time I'm in the mood for a latte read more

Dollop Coffee almost looks like a real coffee shop. In fact, it is a real coffee shop! (Or a cafe, if you're into the whole international thing.) I say 'almost' because it's a chain, although local only, but they're not into the uniform corporate branding and look that a lesser, though bigger, chain might be into. Also, 'almost' because I'm a semi-snarky so-and-so. It's small, there's lots of wood and a decent amount of seating. Coffee ordered there comes in a rando mug and it's delicious (the coffee; I didn't try the mug, hey-o). They also have a printer there, if you want to print the entire internet or a smaller portion of it. I haven't tried it and I don't know what it costs, but it's nice to know that it's around, even if I'm not around. Probably the best avocado toast I've ever had, I ordered an over easy egg on top which was so tasty, I could also definitely tell the spread was homemade! Highly recommend ordering from here! (It was $9 for the toast which isn't bad but almost 20 after tax and delivery fee which was a bit pricey but worth it.) read more

I'm so in love with Dollop. The staff is super chill and the customers are just as chill. Dollop is great at taking on the personality of the neighborhood that they're located in. This specific location is great because they blend a lot of the great aspect of Uptown into one location. Uptown has a great population of local artists and they work with those artists to showcase their work. That's the one thing that I love about all the coffee shops within Uptown. The inside is super spacious so it can easily accommodate someone coming in to work solo or meetup with a group of friends. They have a large front room and a smaller backroom for the lucky people that arrive early. I've never seen this place with less than 10 people working in some capacity inside. I've worked in this Dollop location a few times. You definitely have to get here early if you want to even get near a plug. They have a lot of extention cords but those get easily take up. People are pretty friendly so don't get intimidated if people are at the multiple big tables that they have throughout the coffee shop. People will happily let you join them at the big table. I love that they offer Wi-Fi and the food is reasonably priced. I don't feel too bad spending a couple hours doing a little work. The one thing that does get to me at times is that the staff can get very loud. Whenever they see a friend they will cheer, run through the shop to greet them or get caught up on loud laughing fits. But I chop that up to their friendly nature and working in a public location. read more

Great first time experience! I decided to get a "healthy shot" and was berry surprised on how good it was. No it's made with apple cider vinegar. It was really honey forward which was a nice touch! I also got an iced cinnamon honey and Oatmilk latte.... Perfection! read more

It's an excellent cafe with really friendly service. The backroom is incredibly useful for quiet work or light conversation. Unlike most cafes, this one actually has room to stretch your legs, sit at a table with friends, and just get work done without being cramped up on a stool or between really close tables. read more

Ive had the good luck to live down the street from this Dollop for a year now, and I love having a local Chicago chain to support instead of a corporate mega-chain! The baristas are all very chill and have excellent style, and they make delicious coffee drinks! I love their lattes! During Covid times they have had great safety measures in place to keep their employees and customers safe. Their FOOD is amazing too! The turkey sandwich is my favorite, and their patries are always fresh and delicious with interesting flavors. Like the salty racist reviewer said, they support Black Lives as we all should (imagine being mad at furthering equality in 2020, lol) so go on and support them! One random mid-summer evening, Rosa J. and hubby were looking for coffee at 2000 hour. They spotted Dollop on the corner of Clarendon and Gordon Terrace in Uptown, but it was closed for the day... Well, that was how Rosa J. knew where to chill in the neighborhood zone of Uptown. Her past encounters in Uptown were Ba*er & N*sh, Heri*age, and Ever*body's. Dollop is another one that serves Metropolis. Rosa J. actually paid attention to the special menu this time! Instead getting her iced Chai fix, she had the spicy Mexican mocha. That certainly was a correct choice for a semi-pleasant rainy Friday afternoon. She didn't forget her Daddy J.; the obedient daughter got him a 20oz. Americano. This Dollop location is near a school, so they saw many kids hang out here. Children nowadays are gettin' fancy with their after-school activities...
