I absolutely love this place and the staff. It's wonderful. Great coffee. Specialty drinks are on point. Always a friendly smile and welcoming banter. What I can't get over is the gentleman sitting every day for hours and hours with his dirty bare feet on chairs that customers sit in. You can see his grimy feet and the slippers he leaves on the floor. It's really gross because when I brought my friends for the first time, there were no tables available except for the one he always uses to put his dirty bare feet on. So we had to sit with his smelly feet as our "neighbor" just a couple feet away. If he's homeless, I have a lot of sympathy for him. But he obviously had sandals which he doesn't use when he puts his feet on chairs, and nobody should be putting bare feet on chairs that people sit on in a cafe anyways. If he's a regular, he should know to respect the cafe, the owners, staff, and patrons better. He also takes up that whole half of the long table by the front so that no customers can sit there. And nobody would want to use that chair he has used for his dirty feet anyways. Please inform him politely it's causing a distraction and is a health hazard. There needs to be some standards at cafes for sanitary reasons even if it's not crowded. It's just pretty gross. read more

The shop was in a great location and I loved the inside. Good amount of seating and it was decorated nicely. The had a very cool menu with lots of speciality lattes which I loved seeing. I got the Milano cookie latte and it was a solid coffee. I will say it didn't really have that much cookie flavor. It had a strong milk flavor (I got whole milk, the standard) and unfortunately I noticed they use Monin syrups so I wasn't that surprised the flavor wasn't there. It wasn't a bad drink at all, just lacked any real cookie flavor. I probably wouldn't get this drink again but would come back here! read more

Elevate Coffee is a really cute spot with a super friendly staff and delicious coffee. I ordered the tiramisu latte, and while it wasn't intensely espresso forward, the flavor was incredibly smooth and satisfying. I also had a bite of the chocolate glazed donut and was seriously surprised by how tasty it was. The texture was completely on point, and the chocolate had a surprisingly intense, rich flavor. The overall vibe is really chill and it doesn't get too loud, making it an easy and comfortable place to get some work done. I will definitely be back. read more

Such great lattes here! My favorite is the bananas foster latte. Good breakfast options ranging from pastries to full entrees like breakfast burritos. The vibe is causal. There is nice pop music in the background but at a very low level. Lots of people come here to work on their laptops. read more

I had wanted to go here for a while because of the unique latte flavors! I tried to go one day a few months ago but their espresso machine was broken . Barista was super nice about it an offered me alternatives though, but I ended up going somewhere else. I went again today and got a vanilla orange latte, truly unique and not something you'd find in many other places, it was very tasty! I like how their WiFi is just open so you don't have to go hunting for a password. Why I didn't give 5 stars: I had their coffee cake (they call it coffee cake but it's really a cheese danish) and it was not very good. Tasted like supermarket quality. The banana bread in the display case looked kind of sad too. If you're looking for pastries this is probably not the place to go, but if you want super unique and tasty coffee drinks I would highly recommend! read more

I had high expectations since they had great Yelp reviews however the food and drinks didn't meet my expectations. I kid you not, I couldn't find a chunk of bacon in my egg bites despite them being bacon and cheese bites. Good thing it came with a side of hot sauce because it really lacked flavor. I also couldn't taste orange in my iced latte. Service was very friendly and everything came out fast, which is a pro. Let's just say our visit to Elevate Coffee in Boystown did just that--satisfy. Their Banana Fosters latte was insane. Absolutely delicious. On the sweeter side for sure but I absolutely loved it. 9/10. We also got their Orange Vanilla latte which is a lot less sweeter and subtle on the orange flavor but still so good. 7/10. For food, we got their chimmichurri & goat cheese breakfast muffin which we split. The perfect snack and everything we loved. Barista was the sweetest as well. P.S If possible please take your time to walk the area. Read every post that has a sign-- we learned so much about Chicago's history & especially LGBTQ+ history. A lovely area. read more

How could you send me for my $40 breakfast of a coffee and 2 not so cheap sandwiches ($14 and $11) MOLDLY PROSCUITTO with white mold specks, stale bread and jelly and goat cheese and OLD bread and stale old fake fried egg?!!!!!! This is my second time visiting and overall love the vibes here and the number of drink options and food options (savory and sweet!) the first time I came it seemed a bit better and this time it felt like they were cranking out the drinks so fast and the milano flavor was pretty muted in the latte I ordered, and they were out of the orange vanilla one that i liked last time, even at 9 am! Overall would recommend, maybe this recent time was just an off day. read more

I've been coming to Elevate here in Boystown for a while now since moving to Chicago. Coffee and Tea are both great but the Mocha is amazing! I moved up north and haven't been in a while, today I was greeted by Luke who surprisingly still remembered my name. First time getting the tomato mozzarella panini and it was delicious, not sure why I haven't indulged in it before. The space is always clean and organized. Stopped by Monday morning for a little pick me up. Ordered the creme bru-latte and a matcha mango latte. The creme bru-latte was sooo yummy but the mango matcha latte tasted weird since they used a cheap tasting mango syrup. Definitely recommend the creme bru-latte but do NOT recommend the mango matcha. Had a few hours to kill in Boystown a few weeks ago, so stopped by here to hang out and draw. Very relaxed, laid back place, and good coffee. Barista was quite friendly. Atmosphere is very minimalist and modern, which I don't usually go for but they pulled it off. All told, great place. Lots of tough competition in the area and they can definitely compete. Their Lavender Matcha Latte is IMHO the best I've found in Chicago. And the staff, amazing! My second encounter here, the staff remembered my name! By far my favorite coffee shop in the Lakeview area. Their speciality drinks are amazing, and priced reasonably at $6. The Crème- Bru Latte is my favorite, both iced and hot. The service is consistently top notch, even when they're busy. I will say, it does get really busy.. I've come here to work before and given up and gone somewhere else because there was nowhere to sit. Every time I get the food it's really high quality, as a frequent guest I wish they changed it up more, but it works in a pinch. It's quiet enough to take a call if necessary, but it does get a little noisy when packed. read more
