My girlfriend and I tried one of their avocado toasts, and it was absolutely incredible. One of the best avocado toast I've had (I haven't had much). I got the horchata cold brew. It was pretty good, honestly. The coffee tasted a bit diluted, but I'm glad it was smooth all around. Wifi is also good, so it's a really good place to do work :) read more

5 stars for being pup friendly and having great coffee. I was walking around and on the hunt for something simple: iced coffee. Luckily, a Yelp search brought me to Elevate Coffee! The cold brew was strong and refreshing and hit the spot. I got my coffee to stay because it was hot inside but cute, cozy and cool inside. Grabbed a table and read my book until I worked up the courage to ask if I could pet the dog at the table next to me. (Luckily the answer was yes). They had an entire pastry case of yummy looking dessert and a whole menu of savory things too. There were plenty of tables so I'm surer you'll rarely have trouble finding a spot. It seems like the perfect place to get some work done. I got a chance to chat with the baristas (and I think ownership team too?) and loved hearing that they are brainstorming new additions for the menu. They were so nice and friendly and were kind enough to give me a few tips and ideas for how to spend my weekend in Chicago (out of town-er)! read more

Finding new coffee spots to frequent is my passion, so when I was asked to pick a work meeting spot yesterday, I eagerly perused Yelp and was thrilled to find Elevate Coffee. I arrived a few hours early because I'd seen photos of their pastry display case online and I hadn't eaten anything yet. What better way to start the workday than at a coffee shop, eating a pastry or bagel? There was plenty of seating available, and the whole space was filled with light. I personally love the lavender walls too, because that color screams "calm." I was obsessed right away. I ordered a toasted bagel with veggie cream cheese and a 12 oz medium-to-dark roast coffee. The bagel was perfectly toasted and warm, with just enough cream cheese. I truly enjoyed it! I also went up to get a refill, which was $1 for my 12 oz cup. Next time I come, I want to try a specialty drink. I just needed straight caffeine this time around! Nico, one of the shop's operators, was working the counter and told me a bit about their roasts and how they've been experimenting to always improve, which is always a lovely thing to hear when in any business. They should be proud here, because this place rocks. read more

I had the most delicious creme brûlée latte from Elevate! The barista was so welcoming and excited I was stopping in when I mentioned it was my first time as I am from out of town. He recommended the creme brûlée latte and suggested some minor tweaks to it to fit my dietary restrictions and it was heavenly. The turbinado sugar on the top really made it. Elevate is one of our favorite coffee shops in the area for two reasons: awesome staff and delicious specialty drinks! Pre-pandemic, it was my boyfriend's favorite place to work for a few hours. Elevate is also home to his favorite cappuccino in the city! The menu of fun specialty drinks always entices me and I've never gotten the same thing twice. The latest hit: Mint Chocolate Chip Mocha! The staff is always SO nice and eager to greet you as you walk in the door. They're great for recommendations, too. During the pandemic we've ordered coffee ahead via the Elevate website and have never run into any issues picking up our drinks, masked up. Can't wait for it to be safe to enjoy a drink and WiFi at Elevate again! read more

this place has absolutely phenomenal coffee. can't believe i'm saying this but the best coffee i've ever tasted in my life. super smooth vanilla oat milk latte, and they put foam on top of my drink every time. it was so darn good!! my friend and i were in chicago for 3 days and we came here every single morning for coffee, definitely check it out of you're in the lake view east/boystown area. the avocado bagel and bacon egg toast were also delicious read more

Great space to work. The creme bru-latte I bought was delicious. The baristas were friendly and helpful. If you have a big group, there's a larger table that seats at least six people. They also have a lot of outlets which is essential and there are dog treats at by the door. Will definitely return. read more

Picked up a bike down the street and stopped in to grab a quick coffee beforehand. This place is absolutely wonderful. Cute little spot and very friendly people. I live in River North and will go out of my way to grab a coffee here next time I'm around Lakeview. Highly recommend the Freddo Cappuccino. My gf and I got it without sugar and would not change a thing. The breakfast and specialty sandwiches also looked amazing. Usually, I wouldn't go for an avocado toast but I saw someone order it, and it came on top of a bed of chips and was finished with balsamic. Will be back soon. read more

My sister and I love coming here! They cleared some space inside according to social distancing regulations-- there are still limited seating available inside as well as outside which I appreciate. The coffee here is phenomenal one of the best roasts I've tasted in a long time. The coffee blend here taste very nutty and rich to me and is unique and tasty. The menu here is well put together as well, they have something for everyone-- I have to come back and try more. read more

Great coffee shop in Boystown. Ive been here three times because I am in the area quite often now to see clients. I've had the peppermint mocha (which has PEPPERMINT STICKS in it. How cute and festive is that?), the Samoa latte (incredible flavor combinations) and just a regular drip coffee. The coffee is robust, flavorful and fresh and the baristas are so warm and friendly. The Samoa is supposed to come with a Samoa cookie but they were out so they gave me a chocolate crossaint instead. Talk about excellent customer service! :) They have sandwiches on the menu but I haven't had one so I can't speak on their flavors/quality. The space is cozy and bright with plenty of sunlight coming in from the window, lots of tables to work at and very clean bathrooms. read more

Came here for an intense homework session with a friend, and I'm glad that I dragged myself away from my usual coffee haunt Philz to come here. Elevate is a cute little coffee shop in Boystown with a clean aesthetic and friendly staff. I came here yesterday and ordered the basic coffee roast with a CBD shot. Yes: they have CBD shots! They're $4 extra so if you think it's worth the extra charge, go for it. I'm very new to CBD but the shot didn't do anything for me this time around, so I likely won't get the shot again. I also got the bacon and egg toast. After about an hour or so, I also got the chocolate croissant, so I spent a good amount here... mostly because I was stressed from school! But I don't regret any of it. I take my coffee black and the standard roast was great. Definitely above average in terms of black coffee from places I've been to. I got a dark roast (they offer light and dark) and it was silky smooth. The bacon and egg toast was delicious but I'm not confident that it's worth $7; $5.50-$6 would have been a better price range for it in my opinion. Nevertheless, it's bacon, eggs, and cheese on sourdough bread... you can't really go wrong with that. The sandwich was savory, juicy, and delicious. I consider myself a bacon connoisseur and this was some of the better bacon I had gotten out of a breakfast sandwich in recent memory... and this wasn't even a dedicated breakfast place! Finally, the chocolate croissant I would say was definitely worth the $4 price tag. It's huge and hefty but isn't just full of air like other croissants. There's a good amount of flakiness within the croissant as well as chocolate. You have the option of heating it up (I'm assuming you can heat up other pastries as well) and I highly recommend it for the chocolate croissant. Loved it. I'm not in the Boystown neighborhood very often but if I am, this will definitely be my go-to place for study and work when it needs to be done. The food and drinks are great and I can't wait to try more menu items the next time I go there. read more

Adorable coffee shop located in the heart of Boystown! The new owners took over in September (previously was called Yefseis). Huge upgrade from what it once was. The interior is welcoming and has a European coffee shop feel. Coffee is really great and you can tell they truly care about their quality. Also, the food choices are solid. This was the closest coffee shop from where my appointment was.. and it was perfect! I ordered a latte with oat milk and a shot of hazelnut. The cashier was very sweet and made me laugh. Clearly the barista did an excellent job because I finished my coffee- which I never do. I'm known for leaving a 1/4 of my drink to throw away but not this one! Can't sing enough praises for this place. Also the bathroom was so clean. I could see my reflection in the stainless steel towel dispenser. Maybe I should start visiting cleaner places.. anywho! 10/10 recommend. read more

Stopped in for an espresso while I was waiting for an appointment. The new look is a lot more modern and clean. The espresso was excellent and served with sparkling water on the side like in Italy. I noticed they have a decent looking food menu as well, but I didnt have time to try. When I went in there was just one guy working and serviced seemed to be a little slow since he had to make food, drinks, and run the register. Overall a great addition to the neighborhood with very good coffee. read more

New favorite coffee place in Boystown!! It's very conveniently located! There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and dogs are welcome. There is even treats by the door for your furry friends. I got an iced almond milk latte to stay and it was delicious! I met a friend and we sat on the couch to work on applications etc. It's a great place to work, not too loud, and a lot of seating available. read more

First time there the girl was really friendly, got a 12 oz nitro. second time there I asked if I could pay for a 16 oz and they were accommodating enough to do so but... the cup was only filled to about 12-13 oz... but still, I thought it was a nice for him to say yes amyway and didn't mind much of it but upon returning and same thing happened again lol to make myself feel better I just drank it like it's a bag of Lays potato coffee. The coffee is good and ambience is fine, but the staff are unfriendly. Here's what happened. I was there working for a few hours and went up to the counter to order a second coffee. I stood there for a few minutes listening to the staff talk with each other in the back. Eventually I went and sat down and continued working. Later, I walked back up to the counter and peeked around the corner to ask if someone could help me. Boy did they not like that. Instead of saying something like, "Sorry we made you wait," I got berated for stepping behind the counter, and one of the people told me that I was lying about how long I'd been waiting. In the service industry I've always operated on the assumption that the customer is right, and that the point of being in the service industry is to provide good service. There are lots of spots in Chicago with good coffee and adequate ambiance. No need to visit one staffed by people who insult their customers. read more

I needed coffee every morning while I visited Chicago. I stayed right down the street in an Airbnb. The barista was extremely sweet and helpful. The decor and cafe was clean and comfy. The last day I decided to sit and enjoy my coffee. I had a ham and cheese croissant sandwich. The pumpkin seeds were the best part. My favorite coffee was the Creme Brulatte. Sweet and creamy. I've tried this place a few times now whenever I'm passing through Boystown. The coffee is good and the environment is quiet and peaceful, probably ideal for getting school work done. Unfortunately, they allow dogs in there. Nasty! Dogs shouldn't be around where humans eat. A lady's large dog was at the counter with its paws on the countertop. Another dog snapped at a customer (and the barista girl just laughed about it...) So, I'm marking this place off my list of go-to coffee shops. read more

I ended up getting a chocolate old fashioned and matcha latte sweetened. The store itself is super cute and had so many options for donuts, I wanted to order it all but just opted for one. The team here was really friendly. When they called me for my drink order, it was a chai but they were able to fix that right away. My matcha was so smooth and perfectly sweetened, not too much since I was already eating a donut. The matcha gave me the much needed energy boost and the shop kept us warm because it was definitely cold outside. 1000% recommend checking out Stan's everyone is so nice and the food and drinks are great and exactly what you need.

Tbh I remember being disappointed because of the hype. Today I entered with tempered expectations. I tried the Old Fashioned doughnut and it was somewhere between solid and above average. I'll definitely stick with Do-Rite especially because they're a few blocks away and significantly better. If the job catered Voodoo I'd indulge, but considering I prefer a few other donut shops I won't make a special trip. Great service plus a respectable donut equals 3.51 stars.

The menu gave a hibachi vibe, they had teriyaki bowls, unwich sushi rolls, soup, and specialty drinks but no fountain or canned drinks. I wanted the salmon and everyone else was getting chicken but that didn't happen because they were out of salmon. Really wasn't feeling the other options, so we canceled our order and left. I would definitely give the place another try but maybe earlier in the day and a different location.
