What's better than delicious donuts? Beautifully delicious donuts! Firecakes donuts are as tasty as they are pretty. A family recipe passed down and made in small batches daily. But hurry because once your favorites are gone you'll have to come back another day. They also do pre-orders, weddings birthdays and special events. So good I tried 3 different ones.

Umm... holy deliciousness. We made a stop almost end of day and still the donut was so yum. F. R. E. S. H. Seriously so good. The guy behind the counter was super chill and kind. They are a little pricey but I'm always saying that I'm willing to pay good money for good food. Worth it. City Street Parking

Firecakes Donuts has never disappointed me over all the years I've patronized the business. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the donut shop has been adjusted to only accommodate to-go orders. It is a lot more spacious when you go inside as you wait to place your order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is always so friendly and willing to explain any of the seasonal donuts they have in stock. No matter the crowd size they always seem to get the line moving quickly. The donuts are priced like many gourmet donuts so it's not cheap and can add up if you start to buy multiples. The donuts are definitely worth the cost. When in doubt I always get either the Tahitian Vanilla Iced or Valrhona Chocolate Iced because those are always consistently good. They're completely different vibes but either donuts will help with your chocolate or vanilla fix. Both are very flavorful and balance each other out if you opt to get them both.

This is my favorite location out of all the Firecakes Donuts. The staff are nicer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store is small but there's outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The seasonal and limited time donuts are always great.

This is a nice donut shop located by Lincoln Park and the Lincoln Park Zoo. There is metered street parking available to park. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do not have a dining area, but they do have a covered patio area on the side of the shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They offer more than just donuts. You can get stuffed cookies, ice cream, coffee and tea. They had me at stuffed cookies. They have an exotic assortment of donuts. They have both yeast and cake. I went with a pistachio, a wildflower honey glazed and a PB &J. I also got a stuffed sprinkle cookie. They were soft, fluffy and very savory. I was very happy with my choices. The guy that was working the counter during my visit was very friendly, patient and helpful. The baked goods are pricey, but so delicious. They stored pretty good and were tasty even the next day. I recommend checking this place out for some delicious baked goods.

So good! The Tahition vanilla and cinnamon roll were my fav. I'm excited to come back and try new flavors and the cookies.

Location is right on the busy street by other bakery and sweet spots. There was no line when we walked in. Lady in front was really friendly and helped out when asked what certain flavors were. I ordered an iced chai tea and it had the right amount of chai and sweetness to it. Also got the sprinkled donut. The base, the actual donut is really good not too overpowering on the sweetness. There was extra of the glazed so we got one to try and it was really good as well. Also ordered a vanilla shake and it also had the right ratio between milk, ice cream, and whatever else was used. Really smooth.

The atmosphere was very cozy inside and the cashier was very friendly and nice. She made very good recommendations and everything was handed to us immediately. The strawberry mascarpone, wildflower honey glazed and donut ice cream sandwiches were all amazing and a good size for the price. Would definitely come back.

Saw Firecakes pretty high on a "best cinnamon roll" list, so I had to stop by! The cinnamon roll did not disappoint! My only preference is that the icing is more cream cheese-forward, but their airy roll and sweet icing was still amazing! Also enjoyed how evenly it was baked, rather than having a crispy outside and gooey middle. I also love that they have creative seasonal flavors! I enjoyed an old fashioned cranberry orange donut, and it was great! Not too sweet, but still Christmas-y! The employee the day I visited was also incredibly helpful and pleasant!!

I've been a regular, almost weekly, customer at firecakes for over a year. Great yeast donuts and always fun seasonal flavors. But after the last 2 experiences at this location, I will not be going back for awhile, nor will I be recommending it to friends who ask me about donut recs, as I get donuts all the time and am somewhat known for it. A few weeks ago the girl helping me didn't say hello, didn't say "have a nice day" and was just plain rude. I emailed the customer service email about it, as it was an off encounter, to let them know about it. He responded back and appreciated me letting him know. Well, when I went today, I asked about the lack of the seasonal donuts they had just put on their instagram. I usually get 2 donuts and they only had 1 of the 4-5 flavors they had advertised. One of the girls working, who I'm pretty sure was the same girl that was rude to me before, gave me the biggest sass when I asked about it. Basically told me that it was my fault for coming so late in the day (it was 12pm) and WOW, that encounter ruined my day. I'm sorry, but that is not how you treat and talk to a customer. Plenty of other donut places in Chicago to bring my money.

    This Pistachio donut was heavenly.

The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

They also have a patio, and with the weather being nice, it was easy to just sit outside and relax for a while. I was honestly too hungry to spend much time deciding, so I just ordered one of the sourdough donut ball. It was exactly what I was hoping for. The outside had a light coating of sugar that gave it just the right amount of sweetness without being too much. Once I bit into it, the inside was soft, airy, and slightly chewy from the sourdough, which made it different from a regular donut. There was a subtle tang from the sourdough that balanced the sweetness really well, so it never felt overly sugary. It had a light crispness on the outside, then a warm, pillowy center that practically melted away with each bite. I finished it way faster than I expected. The only thing I forgot was ordering something to drink with it. Looking back, a good coffee would've made it even better. Still, I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. It's an artists dream and sets a positive time for any gathering.

I bravely went for the latin-inspired latte flights, consisting of Mexican mocha, Coquito, horchata, and cafe de Olla. My favorite out of these four was the coquito because of the coconut pieces, which blended well with the latte. I know it sounded silly, but I enjoyed chewing these coconut flakes and they were good palate cleansers! The presentation was da bomb as well. The only reason that I couldn't give five stars to "Stockyard" was limited seating. The place was super cute, but there were only 3 tables and less than 4 high chair seating against the windows, plus some outdoor seating on the pedestrian walkway. The laptop users were respectfully directed to sit at the windows and outlets were available. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable. I asked the details of the latte flight and they explained the offerings. I thought there was only one type of latte flights, but I believe the one I selected was very much suited to my preferences. "Stockyard Coffeehouse" is accessible via routes CTA 44 (Racine/Wallace) and CTA 8 (Halsted) busses. It's great to have a reliable indie coffeeshop in the neighborhood like this, so keep up the good work!
