Signs galore in the building telling you not to lean on things, no animals, etc etc. why build a countertop if it's not structurally sound?? Coffee is also not that good. $9 for a bunch of sugar and chunky milk. Anna, the owner, had a sour rude look about her when you enter, and her husband yelled at us when we put our arm down on the ledge. They seem to be cranking out the coffees, but there were a lot of orders just sitting on the counter melting, so not sure how I feel about the set up. I also love the fact that you can ask for any of their seasonal iced lattes with either cold brew or latte format. Oh my this coffee was divine! Love anything banana & the flavor of this was perfectly balanced with the hazelnut. The syrups are top notch here. I appreciate that Levant offers fun cold brews in addition to interesting lattes. Cold brews deserve attention too, so I'm glad they offer exciting ones. Lived up to the hype. Dropped in for a coffee after seeing it go viral and I was so happy it was as good as everyone said it was. I got the tiramisu latte with oat milk which comes with a mascarpone cold foam. It's not overly sweet, the flavor is amazing. I also took a sip of the oreo one and it was amazing as well. I really am not a fan of them converting to an online ordering only. It really removes the community that you get at a coffee shop and makes it fast food. I'm not entirely sure how this would be more profitable by removing somebody at the cash register. Overall, I think their coffee is fine but truthfully it is very very sugary and there are no options to ask somebody to make it half sweet or less sweet because you can't talk to anybody and it's not an option on online ordering. If you want better coffee, I would recommend dark matter or ancient grounds both of which are within walking distance from this establishment. read more

Recommended by my fiancé, I decided to stop by to grab coffee for my night shift in the hospital. This place is such a charming little cafe in Roscoe Village! Love their menu! They had such unique and delicious sounding lattes and cold brews it was so hard to choose one. While it was a tough choice between the tiramisu and oreo latte I ultimately opted for the oreo latte, iced. It kinda just tasted like crème and after like 5 sips I was mostly hitting ice which made me feel like the $7.50 I paid for this latte wasn't exactly justified. They only had one table with three chairs awkwardly positioned. The counter has a narrow corridor that is split into order and pickup lines. I want to give the new Levant location the benefit of the doubt, because I think we just ordered the wrong thing, but our drinks tasted super off to the point that we threw them out and went to another shop instead. We ordered the Iced Tiramasu latte and the Iced Banana Hazelnut latte and like for us the drinks were just entirely to sweet to the point that that detracted from the overall feel and flavor of the espresso. I was really excited to return to this spot after a pleasant first visit, but unfortunately, my second experience was very disappointing. I ordered an iced strawberry matcha and my boyfriend got a churro latte. Both drinks were poorly made. My matcha was extremely thick, grainy, and undrinkable, while his latte had an overwhelmingly salty flavor that wasn't described anywhere on the menu. We kindly brought the drinks back (still full) and explained that they didn't taste right. Instead of being met with understanding, a male barista in the back loudly and rudely questioned us, saying he "doubted" both drinks could taste bad. The female barista was more composed and acknowledged the milk might've been bad. She offered to remake my boyfriend's drink for free, but I was told I'd have to pay again for a new one, even though I had barely touched the original. While she remade one drink, the male barista continued making unkind comments loud enough for us to hear. I paid $16 for drinks we couldn't enjoy and left feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. I believe in supporting new local spots, but customers should never be made to feel like a burden for politely expressing a concern especially when the product clearly missed the mark. Bad lattes, and nonexistent service. Lattes: 1 We were given two extremely hot lattes that left the cups collapsing within minutes. We couldn't even hold the cups, which were given without sleeves, because of how dangerously hot they were. After one hour, it was still hot. I was finally able to try it, and all I tasted was that awful burnt coffee taste. The barista, who I believe was the owner, should have remade the lattes instead of serving this garbage for $12. A friend recommended me that I have to come here to try their tiramisu latte, so I came here after my doctor's appointment and this place did not disappoint at all! I love how it's a tiny coffee shop at the corner located in Lakeview and super quick service as well! I might've came here when they weren't busy because my order was ready within a minute after placing the order. There were some foot traffic before and after me on a Monday afternoon. I love the flavors that they offer here and I cannot wait to be back! I was so excited to have this new coffee shop open in our area, but it's turned out to be a giant disappointment and my least favorite shop in this neighborhood. The drinks are so overpriced and recently increased to almost $10 for a 20oz specialty iced latte. As others have noted, the staff is rude and dismissive, which is the main reason I stopped going here. I'm sick of being made to feel like I'm a burden for ordering a $10 drink that only takes them 30 seconds to throw together.
