    Turkey Club Sandwich
    Alice W.

Panes is such an underrated and hidden gem that one can easily walk past if they're not on the lookout. Please make sure you do because this place knows their stuff! I had the turkey and bacon sandwich for my first go because I was in the mood for something close to a BLT. The bread was the star of the show, but all the ingredients were great quality. You can taste the difference in the fresh homemade bread with Panes. I've also had the Roast Beef sandwich and another home run. (Minus the spicy mayo) I've never had to wait a long time for an order and the staff have always been pleasant. It's a small place inside, but wholesome and cozy. The sandwiches come with Lay's chips, so not a dealbreaker for me. Would be nice to have some other chip options, but again the smallest of small things to notice. The sandwich is a decent size and fills you up for lunch. I can't wait to try some of their other foods (pastas and pizzas).

Just a heads up, no gluten free alternatives for bread! But everything was delicious and came out quickly.

Food: 3.7/5. The oaxacan pork sandwich is good. Their bread is phenomenal, especially the rosemary olive oil sourdough.

4.5 to be exact. Great sandwiches that hit the spot. Banana bread was so so, but definitely go for the sandwiches. Comes with a handful of Lay's potato chips. Throw them in your sandwich for a little crunch!

Cutesy little neighborhood bakery. Stopped in with some friends and enjoyed the easy ordering of delicious pastries and deserts.

    Baked Macaroni

This restaurant never disappoints. It is one of my all time favorites, being a local. And also, the macaroni is absolutely delicious and I have never had a problem. It is absolutely worth trying and the pastries are amazing too. So are sandwiches (because it IS a sandwich shop.) the workers are nice and the food comes out quickly. While waiting, there's a lot to look at with the amazing decorations and funny quotes along the walls.

Service was good, food came out fast, and tasted great!! We got the French toast and a bacon, egg and cheese. Vibe was super cute inside.

Excellent sandwich (Pollo Diablo). The kind of sandwich that makes you stop and say how good of a sandwich it is. You have to talk about it with whomever. An exclamatory sandwich. Perfect bread. Service is a little dry, but not odd. Worth the stop or consistent visit.

HALF of the Chicken Club Sandwich (I got spicy mayo instead of regular). this sandwich is huge!

Finally made it in here- very clear that they make everything fresh. High-quality sandwiches, breads, and to go items. I had the chicken club, but asked for a spicy mayo instead of regular. sandwich was huge! Definitely could've shared it with someone else and been full. only small complaint is my soup was packed really badly and spilled everywhere so I couldn't eat it, but I'll try again next time. Will be back.

    Excellent Spot!

Really good food. I got 'The Popular' which was excellent. The tomato bread is very fresh

My friend and I were craving a cozy cafe with soup, and we stumbled upon this little gem of a place! It was quite empty on a snowy Sunday night, but they did have a lot of take-out orders. We had our choice of tables and settled in. Service was quick. The soup and bread were dreamy. Prices were extremely reasonable too! I'd come back!

    The Popular Sandwich

It's a cute little cafe. I got the popular sandwich to go. The bread on the sandwich was good, but other than that nothing special. It needed sauce or more flavor to it.

Lovely spot to get a sandwich. They also have a lot of sweet treats. All the sandwiches come with potato chips. They have plenty of indoor seating.

It's located opposite of the cash register and menu. Service was friendly. Washroom (restroom, bathroom search terms) available. Decent amount of seating, serving as a solid space to study or get work done. Black Sesame Matcha Latte - while the black sesame graininess settled at the bottom expectedly, the matcha was clearly whisked well. There were no clumps of bitterness to be found. Despite sugar adjustments, this was still very sweet so I'd classify the spot as more desserty rather than strong matcha or a cafe. Though I'm happy to be proven wrong with their regular matcha in the future.

I wish I was able to travel with one of their cheesecakes but they require refrigeration. Anyhow the cheesecake itself was delicious super light, fluffy, and honestly felt like biting into a cloud. I had the salted egg but they had several flavor options that I would've loved to try if slices were available. The texture is what really stands out, and the flavor was unique and interesting in a good way. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it taste like, but it was sweet, but not too sweet They only sale but I consider a personal size but it's definitely enough to share with two people, maybe even three depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have. My only downside like others is the price. Paying around $19-$20 for a small cheesecake felt a bit steep, especially since they don't offer slices. I really wish they had smaller portions available so you could try different flavors without committing to a full cake prize. They package it very well and they also serve you a cute little fork set and a knife for cutting which I think is contributes to the price. The shop itself is very cute with chic décor and a lot of Asian-inspired artwork, which adds to the overall vibe. Customer service was friendly. When I visit Chicago again I'd definitely go back the texture and taste alone make it worth it but I do hope they consider offering smaller portions in the future.

The taiwanese style popcorn chicken and pork cutlet were super juicy and tender with nicely crisp breading. Are you guys ready for this review??…read more So my partner decided we are going to china town for lunch with his mom and sister. Family day in the city, DURING A SNOWSTORM!! We arrive, place is closed, will open in 10 mins. Perfect, we go to a near by shop and I spot some demon hunter Stanley cups!! I get them of course! We head to lunch, everything is great! As we are heading out, my partners sister spots Te'amo! I ask if she's ever had mochi donuts. She hasn't, so of course we must stop in because everyone needs to try them at least once!!! We order at the kiask and patiently wait for our order. We get our order and leave....leaving the bag with the Stanley's behind!!! We don't realize this until we are home (45 mins away)! I immediately call, no answer, call again, no answer. I decide to DM their instagram page and guess what??? THEY HAD THE CUPS!!! Here I was thinking $150 in cups were gone. But they had them!!! A miracle!! 10/10 stars!! Anyway! I highly recommend the brûlée ube milk tea and the ube mochi donuts!!
