    Bistro Omelette
    Candace C.

Breakfast on a Friday morning to celebrate my first full week of retirement. Picked the Bistro because it was on the way to one of our stops for errands that day. I had the Denver omelette with fruit on the side and Rick enjoyed the Nutella Crepes. Omelette was with fresh eggs, fluffy and chock full of ham, onions and peppers - as it should be. Nice variety in the fruit cup - not just hunks of over-ripe cantaloupe. Rick devoured his crepes - declaring them to be just right. Friendly and efficient service. Will definitely be back.

Delicious, one of my first times traveling to Chicago and will have to add this to my list for when I am back next! The breakfast sandwich was amazing, wish I had ordered two! Potatoes were perfectly cooked and hit the spot! Service was great and staff were very friendly! Such a cozy little diner feel to it.

Such a fun and cozy little diner. Enjoyed my birthday breakfast here with my daughter and her husband. My daughter and I split a veggie omelette along with the breakfast potatoes and gluten-free pancakes. The omelette was fluffy and had a good amount of vegetables in it. The potatoes were cooked to perfection. The gluten-free pancakes were delicious. I want to note that the waitress was not only very kind and offered great service, but she discussed which options would be best for me that were gluten-free. I would definitely recommend this diner for a cute, casual and yummy meal.

Cozy little breakfast and brunch diner. I ordered the steak skillet; the steak had good flavor and texture but the potatoes were a little on the hard side. Service was quick but we didn't feel rushed, giving my friends and I ample time to catch up with each other.

I love when I find a place that you can tell the owner really cares about their business. It's like an old-school diner with home style cooking, warm hospitality and unique menu. Daria the owner is cooking it up with love! I had smoked brisket, grilled onions, jack cheese omelette, with French toast. I'll be back for sure!

My brother and I got to check out BB and I will say it was a very different kind of restaurant in a good way. The food quality was really good and you could tell how passionate they are about the food. The Service was pretty good. Kind of had that old 60's diner feel. And the atmosphere was pleasant and the vibe really was open and welcoming. Do yourself a favor and give Boulevard Bistro and you won't be disappointed!

I ordered the Scrambler with Sausage, Tomatoes, cheese and spinach. The scrambler was very tasty and the eggs were nicely cooked. I ordered the French Toast as my side and I absolutely loved the French Toast. It was very good and so tasty. The side potatoes were good as well. The only thing I was not to crazy about was the coffee, it was really watered down. Very light. There was a young man who took care of us. I don't know his name but he was really nice, and very attentive.

Super cute restaurant with a great location for people watching. Large American menu for diner type food. We came for brunch and had the French toast, buffalo chicken salad wrap, and kids mac and cheese. The food was hot to order, super tasty, and good portions. They even made a yummy hot mocha with their cafe menu. The service was friendly but slow. They were busy but we still waited awhile for food. Definitely a take your time kind of restaurant. Will definitely be back.

For years, I had passed this location and kept saying that I would eventually stop by for breakfast or lunch. It was under a different name and I think that it changed since the pandemic. Nevertheless, I had a slow Sunday, so I stopped in. I played it safe with my ordering. I stuck to my go-to breakfast choices - Belgian waffle, scramble eggs, and house potatoes. The waffle was not an Eggo, which is a winner. The eggs had to have had a little bit of salt in them because I didn't need to add any. The potatoes could have used a little seasoning, but they were hot on the plate. I remember the restaurant being rather busy in the past. There was the usual brunch feel to it with the crowd waiting outside for a seat. It may be that it was cold when I went or people are still cautious with remnants of COVID lingering. I'm just glad I stopped in when I did.

We're visiting from the Southwest and staying in Lincoln Park, and this place came up while searching for a good breakfast spot with gluten-free options. I'm a sucker for Belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, and theirs hit the spot. It's not the trendiest place, but it gave total "your mom made breakfast" energy--in a good way. Some of the savory stuff (like the omelette and eggs Benedict) leaned a little dry, but overall we were happy with everything. If you're more into sweet breakfast, this one's worth checking out.

Veggie skillet with feta cheese and eggs over easy with pancakes, side of turkey sausage and bacon! Excellent!!!

The bright aesethics of Mexican heritage and decor celebrating local artists make the space inspiring and energizing. The coffee was great. I got the horchata latte, which tasted even better than I hoped. I also ordered a El Chavo Torta, a deceptively simple sandwich that was incredibly delicious. I don't know what they put in the bread or what magical place they bought the cheese from, but my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. It's an artists dream and sets a positive time for any gathering.
