    The damage.

I needed sum breakfast before starting my day & wanted to try this spot. It looked clean from the outside though the parking lot entrance from 111th street was chained off. The entrance was a bit confusing. I found free street parking. Upon entering it was busy so I knew this was a good sign. Though the host, a male, greeted me in Spanish there was no issue switching to English. 2 female servers approached my table. Again spoke in Spanish but switched to English for me. I'm always confused for being Latino. I ordered coffee and a veggie skillet with egg whites, turkey sausage and pancakes. My other half ordered an egg omelette w/tomatoes, toast & orange juice. The food came within 10 minutes and was delicious. The service was good too. Family vibe spot; definitely will be back.

Portions here are pretty decent and I like that they have gluten-free bread. Service is always friendly, but of course my husband is a public figure and everyone always prefers to say hi to him. I like that they have daily soup options, and the diner itself is a standard American diner layout. I like that because it offers a classic ambiance Menu is extensive and reliable and I have no complaints!

I regularly get their Farmer's Skillet here. It is so good due to the biscuit gravy that I sometimes door dash it to my work. Service is great: warm and fast just like the food.

Three men are positioned behind a food service counter with various dishes, including rice, eggs, and a cake topped with strawberries and berries. One man is wearing a black cap and apron, focused on preparing food, while another man in a black shirt and cap looks down at the counter. The third man, in a blue cap, is observing or waiting. The background features a metallic, quilted wall surface and a menu on the right side.

First time here! I had fruit Crepe with meat skillet everything turned out good. Servers were very nice.

The menu cover from Waffle Pancake House displays a close-up image of a waffle topped with strawberries, kiwi slices, blueberries, and a dollop of whipped cream with a cherry on top. The background has a wood grain design, and the restaurant's name is prominently displayed in bold white letters, with the slogan 'The Best Way To Start Your Day!' written in red cursive below.

We often visited a near by restaurant and have driven by here so many times and finally made it to check it out. We were seated immediately it was a little tight on the space side. The menu had a good food variety. I had the Mexican skillet and my fiancé got the fiesta egg Benedict. We both really liked our food. The chorizo was good and spicy eggs cooked nice. Everything was flavorful. We got the kids one egg meal my daughter didn't really eat any of it. In general the food came out in a timely manner. My only complaint was that there was a leak over our table. Overall I would go back and I recommend.

It's a simple equation. Clean space, good service, good food add up to a good time. If you come to this place and didn't want pancakes or waffles, why did you come? The pancakes are perfectly fluffy and come in many combinations. The prices are good and there's parking which is wonderful. The orange juice is also fresh squeezed. It's the best way to start your day. The only downside is the cost of switching or choosing an order is very high imo. I replaced one meat with another and it cost an additional $5! That's insane. I'd come here again but I'll order straight from the menu

Mushroom Swiss Burger with added cheese to the fries. Huge portion for the price and well prepared - A partially eaten burger features lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, melted cheese, and a bun, held above a black tray of French fries topped with cheese. The background includes a granite countertop and some kitchen items, indicating a casual dining or takeout setting.

Look, this was a fantastic purchase! I'll be the first to review this place because they deserve it. The portion size is fantastic for the price firstly. I also had a few accommodations and the restaurant followed through flawlessly. The omelette and potatoes were well cooked and satisfactory. Also extremely filling! The toast that they serve with it was two super thick slices of bread and I didn't expect such a big portion. For the price definitely worth it! Secondly the burger with fries and soup was also very well priced. The burger is freaking huge I barely got my mouth around it the first time. It arrived to my house super hot and ready to eat and the toppings were separate from the burgers so as to not get soggy. The fries were plentiful and the Mexican tortilla soup that I received with the burger was flavorful and also delicious. Just watch out, there's a piece of parchment between the toppings and the bread so it doesn't get soggy. Remember to remove it, and enjoy! In general I highly recommend this restaurant and its great bang for your buck!

Moon Over Miami Breakfast sandwich. Ham, American Cheese, White American Cheese and scrambled eggs on sourdough bread. - A breakfast sandwich featuring ham, scrambled eggs, and American cheese between two slices of toasted bread is presented on a white plate with blue trim. The sandwich is cut in half, revealing the layers of ingredients. Behind the sandwich, there is shredded cabbage, and in the background, other plates with food are visible on a dark table.

There has never been a time when I've eaten here and the food was sub par. You are guaranteed great food and great service. I had so many questions and both the waitress and manager were very patient with me. I'm a huge fan of the 2+2+2+2.....the waffles are to die for! But this time I decided to get something different. I was torn between the Turkey club (which I hear is excellent) and the moon over Miami breakfast sandwich. Since I was in the mood for breakfast....i went for the breakfast sandwich. I was very pleased with the sandwich and so glad I went out on a limb! Next time I go...I'm definitely trying the turkey club!

With a cozy locals vibe, there was a mix of young professionals on laptops and families starting the morning. The bright aesethics of Mexican heritage and decor celebrating local artists make the space inspiring and energizing. The coffee was great. I got the horchata latte, which tasted even better than I hoped. I also ordered a El Chavo Torta, a deceptively simple sandwich that was incredibly delicious. I don't know what they put in the bread or what magical place they bought the cheese from, but my mouth is watering just thinking about it. When I'm in Chicago again, La Malinche is on my list of must visit spots.

The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. Why would you not order a flight to try a variety of drinks all at once? We had the hibiscus lemonade and matcha flight, the mango con crema and banana con crema were the standouts. We went on a weekend and there was a long line but it moved pretty quickly. Limited seating space but there are also chairs and tables on the outside. Street parking available. They also offer brunch food items which we did not get to try. But overall cute shop with a variety of speciality drinks that I will definitely try in the future.

Stockyard Coffee House in Chicago, Illinois. Overall, I really liked it. The only small downside…read morewas that it felt a bit warm inside, probably because it was already a hot day outside. The staff--at least the person who helped me--didn't feel super welcoming. Not that they were rude, just not particularly warm either. I get it though, because even I get a little irritable when it's hot, so maybe that played a part. What I love the most is that it's Latina-owned, and that's something I truly admire. I always try to support Latino entrepreneurs when they're doing things right, and this place is definitely doing something creative. We ordered two flights--one with coffee and one with matcha. Each flight comes with four small samples, and they were all seasonal fall flavors, which I thought was such a fun and unique idea. It's cool because you get to try different drinks in little cups, almost like a tasting experience. The coffee flight (we got it iced) was amazing--the flavors were bold and had that strong coffee taste I personally love. The matcha flight was also fun, but I would have preferred a stronger matcha flavor in some of them. They also have plenty of milk options--we ordered ours with oat milk and it was delicious. On top of that, they have a pretty wide food menu with bagels, sandwiches, wraps, and more. We tried the tuna sandwich and it was really good, definitely worth recommending. The café has little chairs outside, the vibe inside is cozy, and I loved that they were playing Spanish music. That's something you don't usually find in most coffee shops here, and it gave the place extra personality. The only thing I'm still unsure about is the price. For two flights (coffee + matcha) and the sandwich, the total was around $55. Maybe that's a bit expensive--or maybe it's just the nature of ordering flights, since I had never tried that before. Either way, it was worth it for the experience and the flavors. In short, it's a cute, cozy, and creative spot that's definitely worth checking out--especially if you're into seasonal flavors, want to try something unique, and love supporting Latina-owned businesses in Chicago.
