Not sure why I had not reviewed this soot earlier, I come here often, in fact I'm here right now. Great spot! Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. This place is inside a building on the second floor. It's nice, modern, cozy, and clean. When you walk in they have a nice array of bakery goods. Like croissants, muffins, etc. I ordered the mini breakfast sandwich on a cornetto roll. It comes with scary egg, sausage and cheese. This sandwich is NOT Mini. It's actually a large sized sandwich. Visited for brunch with friends and had a very great experience here. The location has a nice ambiance, and the service was great. We got the pancakes, which come with a citrus butter and fresh berries. The pancakes were some of the best I've had, and the butter added a refreshing orange flavor that paired really well with them. The salmon sandwich was also great. The bread they make in house is delicious. Eggs in Purgatory, steak and eggs, and the American breakfast were also ordered. The tomatoes in the Eggs in Purgatory tasted very fresh. The steak was great, though a little salty, but the meal was very flavorful overall. And those potatoes?!! So good. The venue also has an art gallery, which was a nice surprise and a great way to walk around and enjoy some art while visiting. I really wanted to love this place! The service was slow, and the water had an unpleasant taste (a Kangen Water filtration system would be a great addition!). I was also surprised by the 3% credit card fee. The chicken tenders, ordered for my toddlers, were unfortunately disappointing. They were made with dry chicken breast instead of tenderloin. On the bright side, the chocolate pancakes were delicious, with a delightful crispy edge! The Caruso frittata was decent - the fresh vegetables and giardiniera gave it a good flavor and a nice kick. This was a nice place for a simple brunch with friends. No much for breakfast/brunch places in the area. The service was on point. We were greeted at the entrance. It was a busy place for lunch on a weekend. I wanted something simple. Saw the avocado with toast and an option to add a poached egg, which I added. I was expecting a thin piece of bread. Boy when it came, it was not what I expected. A thick piece of bread with a nice amount of avocado, some arugula, slice radishes and the poached egg. The egg was unique in that it was the shape of the egg. It wasn't runny which I was expecting knowing poached eggs are. But I'll have to try it again next time to see if it should be a little runny. I was happy with my choice. There were many options to choose from. Skillets, sandwiches and pastries to name a few. The food is very delicious here; it's hard to find a good brunch spot near Bridgeport, so I'm glad they opened up Dolce Arte. I got the stockyard skillet, and it was soooo tasty. The potatoes paired so well with the egg, sausage, and bacon. The prices are a little pricey, but it's definitely worth the quality and taste. The service was top notch; there's a waiter that's always checking in on us and making sure our waters were filled. The ambiance is nice because it's next to the art museum. This is a little gem in the heart of Bridgeport serving breakfast and lunch. Came here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. It has great ambiance with ample tables and free parking. Friendly service and as a plus, you can browse the art inside the Modern Arts Complex (MAC). Free street parking as well. Now for the food - we ordered pancakes and the American breakfast with a side of thick bacon. They did not disappoint! The pancakes were done just right (you get 3 large ones per order), fluffy but otherwise thick - not cardboard like as some other places. The American breakfast is as expected and the pork sausage (you get two) were delish. The icing on the cake was the thick bacon which was cooked just right with the right amount of crackle and meat. The jam was also yummy! Overall, this is a great place to visit/hang out - good food, good ambiance and free parking. Will have to try their pastries next time we are back! I was going to do the Pastry Platter ($14.37), but I realized that starting my day with so many pastries maybe wasn't the best idea, so I pivoted to the much healthier option of Nutella Banana French Toast lol ($16.95). My husband had Nana's Veggie Skillet ($16.43). I also ordered a Tiramisu Latte ($6.44), and it was delicious. My husband ended up ordering a Pistachio Mocha ($5.95). The very definition of off-the-beaten-path, absolute GEM of a brunch spot in Bridgeport! Coffee is simply immaculate. It's the perfect dipping medium for crunchy biscottis and balances out the sweetness from their fresh, flaky cornettos. If you're feeling indulgent, the bombolinis with raspberry jam are the divine stuff of dreams! Nana's Veggie Skillet is a hearty choice that's great for vegetarians without sacrificing flavor. Steak Milanese was also seared and seasoned to perfection, but my friend and I loved the addictive breakfast potatoes the most! Staff was also super friendly and took time to recommend different items. They also had no issue with a few people who came to work with laptops too. There was still plenty of seating on a Saturday around 11AM through 4PM. Overall, Dolce Arte seems to serve every cup, pastry, and dish like a masterpiece. I had the smores latte here before and it was great so I had to get it again. As good as last time! I also had a taste of the tiramisu latte (iced, less sweet) and it tasted good as well. Better than the hot tiramisu one. Last time I think I had skillet so I wanted to try steak and eggs this time. I asked for medium rare steak, but it came out pretty cooked and dry so I think I only had half of the steak. That was the most disappointing part. Top 3 brunch spots in Chicago! For the food, ambiance and service--everything is perfect. My only note or complaint is the almond croissant. I love croissants (specifically almond) but this one misses the mark. The filling texture is off, there's too much and it's way too sweet. Anything else in the menu however will not disappoint. Dolce Arte is such a cozy and warm place to settle into for brunch. Their brunch menu had plenty of options, and my waiter, Joey was wonderful. He was very welcoming, all smiles and cracking jokes with other regulars that were seated, all whilst training another couple of staff members. He made sure to check in on me frequently, as well. I got their Tiramisu Latte and the Sweet Chili Bowl. I don't like the bitterness of coffee very much, but the latte was perfectly balanced with the smooth espresso and semi sweet chocolate shavings and syrup. The sweet chili bowl was much more filling than I thought it'd be, and the peppery Italian sausage went well with the arugula and sweet potato. I wish the sweet potato was cooked through a bit more to give it that fluffiness and warmth on the inside since it had a bit more of a bite than I like, but they were still good! Before ordering, I asked Joey what he recommends, but I didn't have much of a sweet tooth for their house buttermilk pancakes. I didn't end up getting them, but he was so kind to give me one to try on my way out and I completely regretted not getting them. The pancakes were so perfect with the fresh fruits and tart citrus butter. They even warmed up the syrup in the to-go bag he handed me. This space is absolutely stunning, and a great new addition to Bridgeport! It is different than all the other restaurants in Bridgeport. We ordered a couple of drinks and cheese flights during happy hour. While the drinks were fantastic and the cheese was nice, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of thought put into the accompaniments for the cheese. We ordered two separate cheese flights, yet both came with the same jam and pickled onions. Our waiter was also very nice, but very all over the place. He'd run back and forth, shout across the space and forget things. We ordered the red white & blue cheese flight, and got the red wine cheese flight instead - totally fine, and not a big deal because we were excited to try some cheeses, but he wasn't nearly as polished as the space would suggest a waiter would be, and added some chaos to an otherwise beautiful and peaceful space. read more

We're so happy to have a new brunch spot in the area and they're actually pretty good. We tried the house breakfast platter, tiramisu latte and the Nutella sourdough donut. Everything was delicious and the sourdough donut it was different as it's more dense than regular donut and it's a lot of filling inside. We went over there for lunch today and walked through the art gallery before sitting down to have a meal. The decorating an art and photos paintings are absolutely beautiful. I got lox, cucumbers on a croissant. I got a latte. The food was awesome. Servers are super cool. They help make it a laid-back environment. This is a place that I just know whenever I'm in town I will be going to even though I always love to try new places this one really got me. Their breakfast looks so good too. I had paid and boxed up my food. I was sipping my coffee and having a conversation. An older woman with shorter, dark hair approached us, asked to take our plates while glancing at our bill. We confirmed and then promptly she asks us to leave because they need the tables. I look around at all the empty tables. I mean this place was 30% full? I notice other customers that were here when we arrived, and finished eating before us, not be bothered. I take a last sip of the coffee I paid for and she says she can box that up as well. I think she realized our dissatisfaction. Whether it was a personal bias or a genuine misunderstanding, it was very unwelcoming. Found this place thanks to Yelp! The restaurant is inside of a warehouse building. There is adequate signage to guide you to the restaurant. The atmosphere is urban, rustic and classy. Abraham was my attentive server. I ordered a latte with Oatmilk, vanilla and caramel...if it's made with Lavazza it's always amazing and it was! I also ordered the Caruso Frittata, it is the perfect combination of savory, creamy, salty and spicy. I look forward to coming back and trying some pastries. I visited Dolce Arte while in town for a friend's birthday weekend. Dolce is within walking distance of their place so we set out at 11:30am on a Saturday morning. The restaurant is situated inside of a creative art space, the space is bright, airy and has a little something for everyone. A walk up counter, bar and about 20 tables. Once we arrived we were greeted and seated right away. The menu has plenty of variety at brunch. I opted for a skillet and side of fruit. While the skillet wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked it was a very large portion. I doctored it up with salt, pepper and hot sauce to make it work. The fruit was a large portion of berries. We went on a Sunday around 1pm and were seated immediately. The restaurant space is light, airy, and cute. Service was great, everyone was very attentive and friendly. We were nervous because when we looked around, no one had food on their tables yet so we were preparing to wait awhile to eat, but we waited probably 15ish minutes before the food came out. I loved the full bar and they have a good iced coffee selection as well with sugar free syrups. I had the veggie skillet with a side of turkey sausage and I enjoyed it more than I thought. We also ordered the Stockyard skillet which was good as well. We even got a free cookie at the end of our visit. The decor is really nice here and it's hidden in this loft-looking office building on Morgan that has an art gallery. There's an outside sign on the sidewalk that has the restaurant name and you go inside and go up the stairs and walk a little bit and it's on your left side. The HUGE framed photographs that you see in the hallway are worth $30,000-$60,000 a piece. The restrooms are across the hallway from the restaurant. When you enter the restaurant, you'll see their baked goods. I ordered the raspberry sourdough after we had our meal. The bread itself is dense, but I was hoping that the texture would be more airy and fluffy instead. There was a lot of raspberry filling and it was tart and sweet, but the texture was more like very thick syrup. I think I would try the Nutella sourdough next time. I ordered the Caruso frittata and it def had a kick to it which I didn't mind. The ingredients are fresh here, but the pricing is a little higher. I paid $21 with tax and tip for my frittata dish and it was an average size on a medium plate. read more

I kinda wish Yelp had a six star option. Fantastic food --especially the pastries --and outstanding service at a clean and very appealing and very cool place. I became a hero today taking the family here for Mother's Day brunch. The set up of the buffet was slightly delayed but the staff was exceptionally professional and kind. And the food was well worth the short delay -- lobster bisque, beef Wellington, a fantastic charcuterie, and of course the pastries. The regular menu is also terrific!
