If you can get over the fact that it's in a little bit of a sketchy part of town and find parking, this place isn't so bad. The interior's quaint and cozy, and was decorated for the holidays. I ordered my usual when I'm trying a new breakfast place, eggs benedict. My husband ordered an egg dish with pancakes on the side. First of all, both our dishes were two egg dishes, but we were served four eggs each. Nice but unnecessary surprise! Both of our meals were really well done, with no mistakes, decent quality diner food. I will add that the hollandaise sauce was not straight from the powdered pack but tasted as if the chef added some real eggs and butter to it! This was awesome for me because it's really hard to find true hollandaise sauce anywhere, let alone a diner. His bacon was good, and the pancakes were standard pancakes, nothing amazing, but still really tasty. But, if breakfast is not your bag, the menu was loaded with a plethora of choices to satisfy most people. You could certainly do much worse than this place, but as far as diners go, I give it a good rating. I'd probably be a regular here if I lived in Chicago. I decided to give three stars because our wait-person was ... a robot. She wasn't, but she had no emotion or anything that made her relatable. Our order was correct, but there was zero interaction from her that let us know that she wanted to be there, or didn't want to be there, or ANYTHING! It was weird. She made us feel so awkward when she came by that I still remember her, and it's been 2 weeks since we went. To her credit, she was there and getting it done, but really, it's not hard to crack a smile. We are easy and friendly folks, and it was really close to Christmas... The man who checked us out at the counter was very friendly, though, so that was a nice point on the way out. Too bad he wasn't our wait person. That would have earned 4 stars for sure. Go check it out if you are on a diner outing. I bet you won't be disappointed.

Food is always delicious and the service prompt! This is a "Greek breakfast" establishment open til probably 3pm daily. Don't get the fish (YUK), but you'll NEVER GO WRONG w/breakfast of any kind - ESPECIALLY the seafood omelette!

    Limited parking

Nothing wrong in particular just everything tasted prepackaged and not exciting to the taste buds. The service was quick and the it's cute inside. I was hoping for a bit more creativity in the menu.

It was a delight and pleasure to dine here. The restaurant is so nice and bright. Our waitress Amy was amazing!! She was courteous, polite and attentive. She made sure there was nothing we didn't have. The food came quick and was really good. I had the Denver's Omelette, it was huge and hash browns. It was fluffy and not over cooked. We also got the Greek Omelette, have had it at other places was surprised that it came with the greek sauce. The pancakes were light and fluffy like we like them. This was such a great experience, can't wait to come back.

One of my favorite restaurants to go to. I come here about 3-4 times a week. Cozy decor, friendly owner and great service. Never disappointed every time I eat there! Whether you want breakfast, lunch or some drinks, they have it all!

There are 4, count 'em, FOUR eggs on that plate of country-fried steak, with a short stack of perfectly fluffy pancakes rounding things out

This was a cherished experience!!!…read more Welcome to the neighborhood!! This establishment has been up and running for 4 months, and will be opening up 2 more locations. If you are into a cozy, I am home-like, close neighborhood esthetic coffee shop..THIS IS IT!! Amazing, Amazing, amazing! From the comfy couches and chairs. The warm lights and its rustic fixtures, to the selection of eats and sips, this spot has something for everyone! Every space, every corner has personality. It truly felt like I was visiting a great aunt in her stunning home living space. I was WELCOME HERE! A coffee lovers delight. A tea drinkers pleasure. And even for the lemonade drinker, there are choices to fit your pallet. There was so much to choose from. I selected a drink from their special January menu. It was called "Snowday". This sip had espresso, white chocolate, coconut, and cheesecake cold foam! It was perfect for a chilly day as today. I tried to sip as slow as I could to savor it all, but my mug was empty sooner than I anticipated. I followed up with a regular drip coffee (those have free refills). I was with company, and they ordered a decaffeinated coffee with oatmeal, and a cappuccino. The reports were that "the sips were good". There was another order of a Italian Berry Refresher. This drink scored high on the yum card as well. We sat for hours in a wonderful space, where I met wonderful people. Those in whom I spoke with report that are happy this establishment is in the neighborhood! No love lost to Starbucks and Dunkin, they have their place in the world. But, if I can be biased with my review and encourage all to stop in to this lovely spot-scurry and hurry. Lol Fun fact: Friday nights, there is a 21 and up situation that gathers in the back of this space. Live music, adult sips are available, and good times are reported. Wow! I made a mental note to check this scene out after hours on Fridays. Live music? Sign. Me. Up! Big thanks to Marion and Saaniya (I Hope I got the spelling right). These 2 dolls were working behind the bar/register making the magic happen. So kind. Friendly, and attentive! Marion answered all my questions and was very insightful and helpful! This place has depth. This place has a voice. This place has a story, this place softly speaks "come inside, there is so much to share and enjoy.." If you stop in, notice the paintings on the wall. An artist that lives upstairs painted them, and they are for sale. How cool huh? This place is a gem inside a gem, inside a gem. And to think, I literally woke up, googled "coffee places near me" and this place landed in my lap! You don't have to believe me, go get you some!

The holiday specials that are on right now are also worth a try! I just heard that the cafe has live jazz on Friday and Saturday night! They offer wine and other drinks later in the day so I'm looking forward to returning to see them operate in the evening.

The coffee selections are numerous, and you can get them on the strong side or a bit weaker. They also have a number of pastries that can delight your taste buds ... the only glitch we saw was that they did not have a large selection of croissants. For example, we could not get just a plain croissant. But even given that, this was a very nice coffee stop for those that really like good coffee. The dining room was nice and large, with many different sections to settle into with your coffee. Loads of outlets to plug in your lap top if you come with one for a little work. Staff was very friendly, and it is pretty much an order at the counter and get your coffee. They don't need a large staff to run this place, as it pretty much runs itself other than the coffee-master. Give this place a try.

Their gluten-free toast is excellent. I will definitely go back. I had trouble once again, however, with basic communication and it certainly wasn't on my end. I wanted the breakfast taco special but asked for a side of gluten-free toast instead of the corn tortillas as it was described (I don't like corn tortillas). I was told they "aren't allowed to make modifications," which actually makes no sense. First of all, you're basically telling the customer they can't have the simple and sensible modification they're asking for and that's not OK. So, knowing how people in this part of the country are with understanding things, I said fine and asked to just make it without the tortillas... because apparently asking for a side of toast was too much information to put together. Well, that was confusing too. Not surprised. So, finally I just ordered the darn dish exactly as it was described and said, "OK, I will just scrape the eggs off the tortillas." Meaning HELLO, you're making the customer work to do something easy you seem to not be able to do. Eventually, another person came over (the manager?) and suggested they turn the breakfast taco special into a sandwich with gluten-free toast. I was dumbfounded. I've been in Illinois for 11 years (married) and people out here are just very slow to put information together. I don't get it and it's actually pretty alarming. So, anyway, the manager (?) finally suggested that they "could just make it without tortillas and bring me a side of toast." I was like YEP. That is exactly how I ordered it the first time. Welcome to the Midwest. But anyway, they walked away like I was the problem. Again, I've been dealing with this out here for years.
