I needed a quick bite between appointments and was hoping to find a new spot with healthy options and I sure have seemed to! I was greeted by friendly employees at two counters, one for Andy's Sunflower cafe which sells coffee and tea, and one for food (Ain't She Sweet). I had no idea what to order so I asked the teammate at the counter and after discussing my spice tolerance, decided to go for the Jerk Chicken Wrap since it's so popular. It was a bit spicer than medium, which I was warned, but it was worth it. The chicken was juicy and tender and I was impressed by the freshness of the other ingredients as well as their tortilla wrap selection! The chicken gumbo was also quite tasty. I would order both again. The prices were reasonable, it was a $3 upcharge for a side of soup. I sat in the restaurant to eat and enjoyed the music. I think I might have found my new lunch spot! read more

I usually go to the one on 43rd. Thursday was my first time going to the Beverly location I ordered a Jerk chicken wrap, banana cake and some clam chowder. The clam chowder didn't have a lot of cream to me, but the clams weren't tough. You know usually when you eat clam chowder, it kinda taste like you're chewing bubblegum. The clams were so tender!! I was very surprised. The banana cake is delicious and moist. It's heavenly!!!!!! My jerk wrap was amazing! The chicken was cooked perfectly and it didn't have too much jerk sauce on it so it wasn't salty. It was delicious. I highly recommend Ain't She Sweet Cafe at either location!!! read more

I absolutely love me some Ain't She Sweet! They have two locations. One in the Beverly area and one in Chicago on 43rd street. You can never go wrong ordering anything off the menu. There is a parking lot for convenient parking. There is also a few parking spots to grab right in front. I love the fact that you can call your order in because everything is made fresh so there may be a bit of a wait. Staff are nice and it's always clean when I visit. Today I ordered the Chicken Caesar on spinach. Honestly it's my go to lol. But it a hit each and every time! They do have sweet/deserts, water, juice, and pop for purchase. And did I mention soup that ls made hot and ready! Do yourself favor and make a trip to Ain't She Sweet. read more

This place is a nice place for a quick bite. I had the jerk salmon wrap. Although it was a bit too spicy for me, it was delicious! The place is LOUD and electric! A fun place to hangout for a super casual lunch or early dinner. The staff was friendly. They car about cleanliness and I loved to see the dining room being cleaned everytime there was a lull. This is a nice restaurant in a good location. I've also tried the location in Bronzeville where I feel I've enjoyed the food more. Today, we had the Tuscany panini, the tomato spinach bisque and a grilled chicken cheddar sandwich. The soup is consistently amazing. I have stopped here just for the soup a couple of times. The panini wasn't good and I wanted it to be so much because I love pesto. The pesto lacked flavor, was missing lemon or something. My son said his grilled chicken sandwich was okay. The food here could use a little more umph has been my experience. The soup is divine, though. Oh I forgot one thing. I asked for a small cup of pesto in my sandwich was dry when I made it home, they asked me for $1.10, which I found insane. The prices here are not inexpensive so to charge a customer who has spent $30 for another $1.10 for a couple squeezes of pesto just felt greedy and unreasonable. read more

Very disappointing Customer Service I just visited Ant suite on 99th Westside and unfortunately had a very poor experience with the Customer Service. I spent a approximately $75 on food just wraps and drinks and potato salad and I receive my order shortly before closing. I have been only sitting down and eating for about 1015 minutes when I was told I was taking too long and felt rushed to finish before the employees were ready to close and leave what bothered me even more was the attitude when I simply asked for water. It seemed like filling up, my water was a chore as a paying customer who had just been $75. I expected to at least be treated with courtesy and allowed a reasonable amount of time to eat the food I had just purchased. I understand employees want to go home at the end of their shift, but Customer Service shouldn't stop just because closing time is approaching especially when you're accepted a customer's order and payment right before closing. The food was subpar and the service was terrible. I would definitely not be back because of that reason I definitely have been supporting this restaurant since they open, but that right there is a no go for me. I will definitely support other restaurants that have better service and better quality workers. it's hard to find good help. read more

Stopped here on a whim as we are not normally in this area. Sandwiches and sweets was the theme here and felt like an updated cafeteria. Spacious inside and you order at the counter. We decided on a few things: chicken cheddar croissant, Ruben panini, potato salad, sweet potato cheesecake and upgraded chips for soup. There two soups to choose from-tomato and clam chowder. I went for the clam chowder which was very good. Downside is no salt or pepper at the tables nor in the bag. They packed everything like a to go although we stayed to dine in. They also have a smoothie selection if you are interested in that. My husband liked the chicken sandwich even though the gardinera was a little tangy for him. My Ruben had a similar reaction from me. Next time I will leave off the thousand island dressing, otherwise it was good. Both sandwiches had a nice amount of cheese and meat. If you like the mustard type potato salad and sweet relish this is for you. The cheesecake was good. Lots of nuts and caramel. I could do without the added honey but still delicious. Would definitely go again. read more

I'm usually a regular at the Hyde park location but I stopped in with a friend. I felt as though the menu is slightly different than the other one... the customer service wasn't that great... the cashier wasn't exactly friendly, but idk maybe she wasn't having a good day. The food was good, no complaints. They have a coffee bar inside this location, I don't believe the Hyde park spot has one. read more

Let me start with saying this is my first time there! I have been riding past this place for a while and I've always been intrigued and I found out it is black owned so I had to try it! I ordered the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wrap and let me tell you how flavor full it is!!! The meat was not over or undercooked, the veggies inside and the sauce all blended together very well! It even has a little kick to it which I love! The pineapple lemonade I ordered was good as well!! The service was great, even though I ordered food Togo they treated me as if I was dinning in, they were nice and courteous! The inside is nice and spacious definitely sets the ambiance for a place you should sit down and eat. I will definitely be back to sit down and eat next time! But if you are in the area make sure you go try it! read more

Been a fan since the Bronzeville location was the one and only. I have tried the Beverly locale a few times and the food is just as good. I tend to get a salad or anything jerk. My cousin and I came here because it was close to her house and they have vegan options. I had also heard good things about them and wanted to give it a try. The workers there were very friendly and our food came out quick. I had the vegan jerk wrap and my cousin had a vegan chicken wrap. I thoroughly enjoyed my wrap as it wasn't too spicy and was well seasoned. You also get a choice of chips. For $10 that's a great price and I highly recommend this place! read more

I am a regular customer. The food is amazing. I wanted to avoid the wait so I ordered on line. I was there at the expected time. My order was not ready. So despite me thinking I was going to avoid the wait, I didn't. My food was cold. The soup was cold like the kettel had been turned off earlier in the day. I had to warm it once I got home. My wrap which is usual warm was also cold. I got a half of a pickle spear. I order a large smoothie and got a small. The owner was not there. One of the daughters was working the kitchen. The orders were piling up in the window and the line to order was very long. I'm taking a break read more

This is one of my favorite spots to go to for wraps and smoothies. Usually, I order the Buffalo Chicken on spinach wrap and the Tropical Breeze smoothie. This time I ordered my usual Buffalo Chicken wrap and the Jerk Chicken Bowl; no smoothie. The wrap was good as usual. The bowl was good as well. I would like to offer a few suggestions: 1. Update the phone-I called several times (10) before I arrived to try to place the order to go and the phone went straight to voicemail at the first ring each time. I know the restaurant is busy, but when there is a 25 minute wait and no where to sit, I think it would be more customer friendly to at least be more efficient with taking phone-in orders. 2. Lessen the amount of lettuce used in the bowl 3. Chop down the lettuce more 4. Add at least a spoonful more of mango salsa read more
