In the slew of coffee houses that opened in OP I like Marouf A LOT! That's not too descriptive, I know, but the ambience is modern and coffees are delicious. I always opt in for the hot Pistachio latte. It's not too rich, but enough to quench your sweetness for a delicious drink. There's plenty of seating but this place is always packed. I don't think I've ever gone in when it's empty, whether it's noon or night. There's also quite the selection of pastries! So many delicious desserts and buns! You can't go wrong with any selection. This was a very nice coffee shop ... one of maybe a dozen or so new ones that have opened up in Orland Park/Tinley Park area. The coffee selections are numerous, and you can get them on the strong side or a bit weaker. They also have a number of pastries that can delight your taste buds ... the only glitch we saw was that they did not have a large selection of croissants. For example, we could not get just a plain croissant. But even given that, this was a very nice coffee stop for those that really like good coffee. The dining room was nice and large, with many different sections to settle into with your coffee. Loads of outlets to plug in your lap top if you come with one for a little work. Staff was very friendly, and it is pretty much an order at the counter and get your coffee. They don't need a large staff to run this place, as it pretty much runs itself other than the coffee-master. Give this place a try. read more

Beautiful interior with comfortable seating! This shop is cozy, the pastry choices are unique and everything looks delicious! The customer service is good. I ordered the pistachio latte with a pump of Toffee Nut, a lemon ginger honey tea and a pistachio pie. Everything was delicious. I could taste the freshness in the tea and the pie. Love cozy coffee shops; this one has quite the set up. Comfortable seating, nice lighting and yes, GOOD coffee. I admit that I am used to indulging in sugary lattes and flavored cappuccinos from a popular chain. To taste an authentically spiced, no sugar, no cream cup of coffee was different in a very pleasant way. Dubai chocolate is all the rave right now and trust me, this shop has the BEST bars! I always look at a menu prior to visiting a new spot. I knew I wanted to try the iced pistachio latte and the pink splash! Close your eyes and imagine the freshest, natural pistachios, nutty, creamy, lightly sweetened and swimming around ice cubes. That was my latte. Or the richest, juiciest strawberries dancing in coconut milk. That was my pink splash. Both were great options. Bestie chose the same drinks but preferred a hot pistachio latte and enjoyed every sip. We each received a special heart shaped token of appreciation as a thank you for visiting and we each grabbed a chocolate bar. The pistachio pie was delightful. I have a love-hate relationship with this place. What I love about it first and foremost is the quality of the drinks and variety they offer on their menu. As a non-coffee drinker my favorite thing here would have to be the pistachio freeze. Every time I get the drink, it is consistently delicious. My main issue with this place is they are not accurate about the size of the drinks that they serve you. It's not uncommon for my drink to differ like 2 to 3 ounces from what they advertise, which I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but it really is false advertising. At the very least I feel like the cup sizes they offer should actually reflect the ounces they advertise on the menu. With that being said, I wish the portions were slightly bigger for the price or rather I wish their portions were consistent with what they advertise. I will continue going here for the pistachio freeze, the yummy pastries, and the atmosphere. I think next time I go when I may mention the size discrepancy to the workers. read more

Marouf is beautiful inside. It's spacious and feels like an escape. We ordered a cappuccino and a cheese croissant, and also purchased Marouf-branded Nespresso pods. The cappuccino was mediocre, unfortunately. There was minimal milk foam, and the coffee wasn't the best tasting. The croissant was excellent, though. Service was good and pricing was fair. read more

Where to begin! I was greeted at the door by the servers. Very friendly staff. So much space if you want to work there solo or hangout with a group of friends. I ordered the pistachio cheesecake along with a cold brew and I'm glad I did. The cheesecake was light and creamy. So much pistachio in every bite. Very fluffy cream on top too. Highly recommend. Nice looking place, good coffee but total SCAM!!! I order an expensive (more than $5.00) 14 oz iced coffee. The cup looked pretty small for 14 oz and sure enough, when I got home and measured, it only holds 8 ounces. Cheating customers for how long? I will tell you this, though, I've had the most delicious rice pudding ever from Marouf! Creamy, not too sweet, topped with a very light sprinkle of rose petals & the most heavenly, slightly aromatic of rose with a faintly delightful flavor of rosewater! It's wonderfully decadent with a cappuccino. It's nothing like the heavy, pasty, overly sweetened rice pudding with undercooked rice, drowned in cinnamon & melted whip cream that you get everywhere else. Decided stop by before a trip to the mall. I tried a hot toffee latte. It was really good! I'm always a little scared to try a hot latte because sometimes i feel like they taste like straight milk. Not this one ! Decently strong coffee. The cookies are yummy as well and are very large good size for the price ($6). I've had better, but they're still very good. This is attributed to the fact that Marouf blends their own coffee and stays true to the kind of coffee and espresso used in their creations. I ordered a caramel macchiato from here and absolutely loved my drink. It was made exactly how I expect a caramel macchiato to be made and to taste. The service was quick and accommodating to requests. I appreciated that. The inside of Marouf is very nice and the seating area is well designed with privacy in mind giving ample space between seating areas which I appreciate. Just happened to be in Orland Park last week and had an urge for an evening coffee. I was driving and asked the wife to Yelp the location of the nearest coffee shop. She came across Marouf Cafe and said that they had excellent reviews and the pictures of the shop looked inviting. We stopped in at around 7:00pm and were immediately impressed by how clean and cozy the place was. Since it was our first time there we asked for some recommendations based on what we were craving. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and recommended my wife try the Spanish Latte while I opted for a vanilla latte. My wife also ordered a pastry (a cheese croissant I believe) which she stated was delicious. Both lattes were very good and the seating area is very comfortable. Just a note, they have a vast assortment of coffee choices so you may want to inquire about the differences. They also have a very generous selection of pastries that all looked delicious. Overall it was a very nice experience and even though it's a bit out of our way, we will definitely be stopping by again to partake in their large selection of coffee choices. read more
