3.5 but rounding up. Cuuuuuute! Wake n Bacon has been all over the interwebs and as a Filipina I obviously needed to check it out. A group of 4 of us stopped in for weekend brunch and enjoyed it. This is not your typical brunch with full service spot. You order at the counter or via the QR code at your table then your food is brought out to you. This place can get busy but thankfully you are able make a reservation online. I tried the purple haze as my drink and it was pretty good! Ube wasn't as strong as I'd like it to be but still decent. For food I tried the Ube flap jack stack. It was OK, a little pricey for the portion but I'm still glad I tried it. My husband tried the Maui wowie and I actually liked his food better. read more

Food is still all excellent - the turtle waffles, the ube flap jacks and the baesilog ( cured sweetened thick Filipino bacon). Service was fine. And it's still really pretty. The demerit comes from the food delivery there was 9 of us on two tables. The food came out erratic and the time difference between the first order to the last one was substantial enough that half of us was done eating. First off I love the ambiance inside with all the flowers hanging from the ceiling and photo wall by the entrance. The space is very welcoming. There is currently construction outside so it was a bit hard to find at first. I ordered the purple haze and ube flap stack. The portions were huge but the flavor was a bit lacking. The coffee was a bit too watery for my taste and the ube pancakes didn't really have much ube flavor. The bacon was a bit too tough as well but the eggs and other toppings were good. This place was a bit of a letdown to be honest. We had an online reservation and they opened promptly at 8am and immediately seated us. They do online table ordering here through Toast which can be convenient but I also dislike the lack of service aspect when restaurants do this. As for the food/drinks, it was nothing to write home about; it was OK at best. I ordered the Purple Haze coffee which was a bit lacking in the ube flavor. It wasn't bad like some of the others I've had in the past theirs was OK. Also I ordered it with oat milk too I believe but my stomach did act up a bit later so I'm not sure if they really used it or not. My order was the Ube Flap Jack Stack. The pancake itself had a slight crisp to the edges and was a bit moist in the center. Underneath it was flecked with mini tater tots which provided a nice surprise every couple of bites. The tocino bacon for me had little to no tocino flavor. It should be sweet and savory at the very least with maybe some garlic. Theirs lacked both. Lastly the sunny side up egg was for sure over cooked. The yoke was basically fully cooked through. The hot pepper on top was a nice touch though. As for the baesilog, my friend had no complaints with the tocino bacon. With the Big John, my friend said the tater tots were so salty that he couldn't really enjoy his food. The interior was clean and the bathrooms didn't smell at all which was a big plus for me. They also have like a selfie mirror camera thing with a printer but it was broken at that time. I think this is the kind of place that I would want to give a 2 because it just didn't meet expectations but trying to remain rational and and fair it's at least a 3/5. read more

We went to breakfast on a Tuesday morning and it was pretty empty, the place was decorated nicely with flowers hanging from ceiling. Staff were nice and helpful, you have to order from phone or at the front which could be annoying when busy. Food took normal amount of time to come. The coffee was okay, they didn't have any cream for the coffee and had to use milk for it. I got the chicken and waffles, the chicken was very good, one of the better chickens I've had and the bubble waffles tasted like any other waffle. They have spicy maple syrup and while it was good it was not spicy at all sadly. Overall it was an alright breakfast. It's definitely not the typical breakfast place and serves different food than a normal diner would. read more

They're a fast casual place, so no waiters, but the staff will come check on you quickly if you press the little button on the table. Though I haven't had the chance to partake in the wake n bake part of this restaurant, it's interesting to see this concept combined with some Asian fusion concepts! The Ube latte was very good and the food felt like your typical mix of good hangover food and a bit of elevated brunch goodness. Pricing felt pretty standard to other brunch spots in the area. We had a reservation at 11am on Saturday and were seated easily. There were open tables for walk-ins. They preferred that we order using their QR code. We didn't mind, and it made splitting the tab easier at the end too. I was excited to see a service call button to press for service. The servers responded within a few minutes. I hope that it becomes more common. I ordered the Phatty for the garlic rice. It was a huge burrito packed with deliciousness. The garlic flavor was subtle but tasty. However there is no clear signs outside to indicate the name of this restaurant. It appears to be inside of an apartment complex and the front is currently undergoing construction. When we walked in it was unclear what you needed to do to be served. We went to the counter and we were eventually assisted. Prior to being assisted my sister and I both noted that the interior was not what we expected. For one- it was not clean. There were several tables that were dirty. Additionally the staff behind the counter was touching her nose and then Preparing drinks. I opted to look to see what the health score was. They Currently have a FAIL. Rating. The rich Ube flavor blended beautifully with the coffee and this drink went down so fast. To share I got the Bacon Flight and they had two pieces of bacon for 3 different flavors which consisted of : Maple Peppercorn, Tocino, and Tajin. The Tocino flavored bacon brought me back to my childhood and the Tajin flavor was honestly my favorite. The bacon was thick and fatty and super flavorful! Highly recommend. For my main, I ordered the "Maui WOWie" off their Sweet&Savory menu and this had toasted Hawaiian bread, crispy spam, tajin spiced pineapple, chipotle mayo, scrambled eggs, and this sandwich was served with crispy tater tots. We sat at an empty table (no sign was up yet on how seating policy works). Host asks us if we have reservation; we did not but there were still many open tables at that time. The host then made us get up & sat us at a dark table in the back, which seems to be punitive for sitting at an empty table...Took almost 30min to get coffees, food was alright. Also everyone else who brought the food was super nice, but that greeting experience was just not pleasant. Considering there are really no actual waiters/waitresses, this place should be no-reservation (except maybe for parties of 6 more). Tortilla was nice and crispy on the sides they pressed it on. There was nice thick cut bacon in it, and I enjoyed the beans which had a refried texture. I've been wanting to try this place out since forever and I finally had the chance this past weekend! I love the interior design of this place because it is very comfy/cute as you walk in and take a seat then order via QR code whenever you're ready! People are super nice and friendly here! I did get the purple haze which is ube on the bottom with coffee on the top. You can definitely taste the ube and the sweetness doesn't over power the coffee at all! It's nice to see bubble waffles instead of the traditional waffles for breakfast. The fried chicken was well battered and deep fried. The sauce definitely gave it a little kick which I really liked. The breakfast burrito is PACKED with goodies! You definitely need the salsa on the side because the whole burrito is very bland without anything which is fine for my taste buds cause I'm more so on the blander side. HORRIBLE service, what a joke. My friends and I came to start birthday outtong here and immediately wanted to leave. If we hadn't ordered ON OUR PHONES, we would have. We were sat directly in front of the door, repeatedly-- 4-5 times-- asked the staff to please move us. Every time the door opened, our straws would fly out of our drinks and our napkins would need to be held down. It was not full, the staff was just bad, quite literally avoiding eye contact with us, even when we approached them. The group of guys next to us also seemed upset and displeased, even joking with us about how bad the service was. The food. Very average. Wake 'n Bacon is great for most reasons and honestly, I believe depending on your preference, the spot is either or a 4 or 5. Let me explain: The decor is really cool and very trendy. We came for an early 8:30 am reservation so it was easier to take in everything when it's not busy. Everything can be ordered infused with 25 mg so we'll definitely come back and try that part, but early morning breakfast we bought a good amount! We ordered the Spiced Maple Chicken & Waffles, Ube Flap Jack Stack, Purple Haze drinks, and a side of tater tots and garlic rice. I loved the spice maple chicken & waffles. As someone who loves spicy food, the kick of the peppers were really fresh so I was happy about that. The flavor on the chicken was really good and the bubble waffles were really fun. With a drench of maple syrup, it was great all together! Now here's why I think it's by preference - I was not a fan of the Ube Flap Jack Stack all together. The Ube pancake? Amazing. The egg? Pretty good, nothing crazy. The tocino (pork belly)? Not a fan. It didn't taste right to me but I'm probably biased with how traditional Filipino tocino is supposed to taste like. But my partner loved the meal! Ate a lot of it too. They preferred their meal over my order and vise versa. Which I think is a fair assessment. Also, the tater tots? Really good! One of my favorite things about this spot is the decor and ambiance, if you're into taking cute pictures at brunch, this is the place to go! While I did not have any CBD infused food or drinks, the food was delicious and made fresh!
