I've stopped here several times for a cup of Joe and more recently actually stopped to catch up with a friend, and I actually forgot how affordable their prices are compared to most coffee shops. For a small coffee, it came out under $3 which feels impossible to find anymore. I don't feel like the girl I ordered from was the most friendly when I was there this past weekend, but in the past I've had good interactions with the staff when ordering for take out. I haven't tried their food, but I'll definitely return in the future to do so! read more

Everybody's Coffee is the kind of place where if everybody knew about it, no one would bother with those half-assed corporate coffee chains. They roast their own coffee, and they know what they're doing. Same with tea. They are not phoning it in. They are making each cup with care and attention, and each cup is spectacular. The space is also fantastic. There seems to be room, even on busy days. The art is interesting, and the whole space is just not over-designed. It manages to be somehow both warm and cool. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Maybe this is the gingerbread latte talking, but they seem to be happy. Genuinely happy. We split an Aragon breakfast sandwich with perfectly prepared bacon, egg, cheese, and avocado. It was like homemade if you had that kind of time and energy. And it came with a well-dressed side salad that was anything but an afterthought. I don't know how anyone has one of these by themselves. It's a lot of food. Their motto is "filter coffee, not people." I don't actually know what that means, but I am sure it has to do with their sense of mission. The business benefits Cornerstone Community Outreach, providing housing and food for thousands of people in the Uptown neighborhood. More than that, the place is clearly dedicated to holding together a community that is increasingly fragmented by economic inequality and social isolation. They have a cool board where you can pay for a coffee for someone else who can't afford it. And let's face it, if we can afford to amble into a coffee shop and buy ourselves a fancy coffee drink, we can afford to give one away too. No wonder the staff here are happy. read more

In my opinion, it's rare to find a coffee shop that has great coffee AND great hot food. Coffee shops tend to be on the smaller side and baristas can't be expected to do it all. Usually, I go in expecting a decent pastry and a nice coffee. Everybody's coffee exceeded my expectations and was quick as well. Before our home inspection this morning, my Fiance and I stopped in for a coffee and breakfast after finding that Everybody's Coffee would be near our new home. We walked in and were greeted with a warm welcome and instantly felt the artsy vibes with plenty of space. With so many options to choose from, we opted for a breakfast sandwich, a muffin, and a drink each. Everybody's Coffee not only made one of the best lavender lattes I've had in the city and because we dined it, it came in a nice large mug for easy sipping.. The lavender wasn't too floral with the honey adding a nice touch of sweetness. Brysen got the iced oat-chata which was to die for and will be my order come summer months! We went for the Southern Californian after the cashier recommended we go with a biscuit sandwich a the biscuits are made in-house. It did not disappoint, the biscuit was soft and buttery but moist enough that it didn't feel claggy in the mouth. The eggs were fresh and fluffy, bacon crisp and avocado green. It came with a nice arugula salad. Our cranberry almond cheesecake muffin was sweet and creamy with a nice texture difference between the cheesecake-y middle and firm muffin top. Overall, the service was friendly, the food was fresh and quick and the coffee was great! read more

Everybody's coffee cafe is a very aesthetically pleasing coffee shop that serves breakfast and lunch everyday. I like the art pieces featured along the cafe and the friendly atmosphere. I also like how spacious it is with plenty of restrooms and free wifi for customers. I had their golden chai latte which was "ok". Quite small for the price point. I didn't like that the baristas had control of the tablet because I felt pressured to say yes to leaving a tip. (I do believe that baristas should get tipped but I feel like I should be able to make that call without being put on the spot). I also wish that they are open a little longer but this place is worth a visit! I will come back to try more of the items in their menu when my schedule allows! read more

Solid coffee and a hefty, large portioned biscuit sandwich! I picked up an oat latte and biscuit sandwich on a Sunday morning. It was pretty busy but not crazy. There's a bunch of seating and board games inside. The flavor of the espresso shined through in my oat latte I took my biscuit sandwich to the beach. The biscuit was very tasty- dense and flaky. This place is such a wonderful place to come read, study, draw, etc. It's quiet enough, with very chill music which is not too loud at all. The food is very good. I had the avocado toast (bread made in house!) and shared the veggie grits with my girlfriend. Both dishes were super good and I would order them again. The coffee was very good and not too strong which was nice. They have a variety of options from lattes, espressos, specialty drinks, etc. The art In the place is awesome and also for sale! I used to love this place but ever since COVID I feel like went downhill. The part that I don't like the most is the fact that they ask how much you'll like to tip and press the button for you. It makes me feel very uncomfortable. Also, just to order a quick coffee to go it takes 20+ minute of waiting. Maybe they should start paying people better so that more people work there. Emma provided me with a warm welcome as I shared with her that I had not been there since before the Pandemic. I was glad to know that the same owners are still there. They also are genuinely kind people. The place is super clean. They always have fresh products and excellent service. Good people, delicious coffee and tea. The tumeric chai is a standout. All of their coffee products are consciously sourced & delicious. I buy my caf and decaf beans exclusively from them. Their food is AOK. Consistently amazing art on the walls. Space is cool to visit but not necessarily to hang out and they close very early. They do a lot of work the community, and there are people from all walks of life hanging out. Gets very busy and noisy on weekends, esp Sunday around noon - grab your drink and go. Everybody's coffee is awesome. It's spacious and has plenty of seating, but beware, if you go on a Sunday afternoon the place is packed. So plan ahead if you plan to study, read, or catch up with friends. I ordered the Miel Maya and Vegan Chocolate Cake, it has cayenne pepper, oat milk, and honey. Boy, did that cayenne pepper have a kick. I think the barista went a little happy with the cayenne, but once you cut through that, the drink itself is delicious. It's definitely more on the spicy side and you can taste a bit of the sweetness and the oat milk. I do like the drink a lot. They also have a thai coffe that looked interesting, I might get that next time. I'm not a fan of chocolate cake, but I was so intrigued by the color when I saw their post on Instagram, that I had to order it. The cake was pleasantly delicious and moist. It wasn't overly sweet and rich. I'm glad that I ordered it. =] Also, if you BYOC (bring your own cup), you save 25 cents! How awesome is that! read more

I needed to get out of the house and get some work done. It's a nice work environment with outlets at different tables. The food was yummy. I ordered but didn't eat it right away, and it held up. It didn't get soggy or mushy. Also, the bacon is thick. The bacon egg biscuit was well balanced and flavorful. It's worth the price. read more

I've been to this coffee spot a few times and I'm always pleasantly surprise! Their coffee has always been great, plus they offer oat milk, which I love. I tried their breakfast for the first time today and it was hearty and delicious! I ordered the Aragon bagel which has egg, cheddar, bacon, avocado, and chimichurri cream cheese on a bagel of your choice (I chose the everything bagel). All the breakfasts include a side salad of mixed greens which I found to be a refreshing addition to a pretty heavy breakfast order. The staff was very kind and also all wore masks. This place is a bit of a walk away from me but I will definitely continue to make the trek over for the delicious coffee and friendly service! read more

First off, the staff here is phenomenal. It's difficult to go into busy coffee shop and consistently get grade A service. The staff has always been extremely friendly whenever I've visited. Sometimes the service can be slow but the environment of the coffee shop makes you want to take a minute to soak it all in. I was introduced to Everybody's Coffee by my boyfriend. I instantly fell in love with Everyone's Coffee from the very moment that I walked into the door. The first thing you'll notice when you walk into the coffee shop is a delicious assortment of baked goods. I was excited about the baked goods because they offer some donuts from Firecakes Donuts which is known for having delicious donuts. The coffee shop is pretty sizable so it can fit even the largest group of people. The coffee shop is under an art Gallery so the bathrooms are massive and they have a ton of fantastic artwork hanging around. The artwork alone is enough to check out Everybody's Coffee. The one con about Everybody's coffee is that they only have a very limited amount of plugs in comparison to the size of the coffee shop. They're known for getting busy early so I would recommend getting there as early as possible to guarantee a plug for your computer. read more

Went here for a breakfast while I was in the neighborhood. I was struck first by the wide, open floor plan. More spacious than most coffee shops you see, but with the light color interior it's also less intimate with a more industrial focus, which is fine. Really unique and beautiful tables, massive hanks of wood with coffee beans in the crevices, lacquered over. I got a cold brew to drink and, several minutes later, my sausage, egg and cheese sandwich was ready. They were pretty busy, so I expected to wait. I'd say it was worth it. The eggs in the sandwich were smooth and custardy. They do something really special with them. And the maple cheddar cream cheese was a condiment I could eat by the spoonful, if allowed. The cold brew was nice and smooth, good flavor. I was intrigued by some of their unusual menu items, for coffee. Definitely looking forward to going back sometime. I came into the coffee shop because I was craving a chai latte and needed a drink to cool off. Wow! The drink was fantastic! It tasted different than other chai lattes I've had in the past and this drink was not overly sweet like the others. The spices worked lovely together and I really liked the way the cinnamon was used. I also think this drink is so much better than Starbucks. The cashier/barista was very nice. She even offered to remake my drink because she accidentally used skim milk. I think the skim milk added a nice balance to the drink. I think this is my new favorite coffee shop! read more

Genuinely don't understand the good reviews for this place. The food and drinks are really just not good to me. The first time I went, the iced latte I got was extremely bitter and the avocado on my bagel was all brown within 5 minutes of opening. Tried for the second time today and got the small bites avocado toast. Even more confusing...waited nearly 20 minutes with no line in front of me for a piece of bread with smashed brown avocado on it. No salt, no lemon or lime, literally just plain smashed brown avocado, so bland. read more

Everybody's coffee shop is truly for everyone: hipsters, young working professionals, students, pretenders, believers, dreamers, and etc. Therefore, this is my kind of coffee shop as well: career yelp writer and tiresome retail professional. This is located inside the Wilson Abbey, which appears to be a venue for concerts or shows in the Uptown neighborhood. I was greeted by two (2) cool, friendly hipster dudes. One (1) of them gladly took my order: 16 oz. dirty chai and cinnamon pecan scone, while the other diligently carried the task of coffee-making. Hubby soon came over to meet after paying for the street parking across the road (being a responsible citizen). He joined me for our Monday coffee date and ordered the Cortado and a cup of yogurt. If you want to feel relaxed without getting a pedicure or be therapeutic without seeing a psychologist, try this "dirty chai." According to the description on their menu, it is made with Rishi chai mix with a shot of espresso. It has a stronger, bitter taste than Mayan mocha (containing cayenne pepper). However, toward a last few sips, the taste has turned smooth and slightly sweeter. I personally don't think the "Dirty Chai" is everyone's cup of tea due to its uniqueness. If you're adventurous when it comes to food and drinks, I encorage you people to give it a try. This cafe is PC-, Mac-, and tablet-friendly because there's a power outlet in every table. I see a little bit of "Logan Square" vibe, but non-hipsters are certainly welcomed. The neighborhood of Uptown in Chicago may not be a destination for the world's fine foods, but there are three (3) coffee shops you ought to pay a visit: Baker & Nosh, Heritage Outpost, and EVERYBODY'S! read more

With my Indie Coffee Passport (ICP) tucked under my jacket, I made my way to Uptown to try "Everybody's Coffee" on a Saturday afternoon. One thing I love about this place: Very Welcoming. I stopped by with a friend for about an hour before leaving to grab dinner and then catching a concert at the Riviera. The barista was super nice when I asked for recommendations off their ICP menu, she recommend a "Star Wars Drink." What?! So awesome. I chose the "Vader" which is Coke from a glass bottle, 2 shots of espresso, 2 pumps of vanilla and ice. Their drinks reflect the barista's creativity and spunk. I couldn't finish the whole thing (it was a little sweet for me), but it was definitely unconventional and worth a try. When the woman behind the counter explained what was in the drink, she was brimming with the same pride, joy and chattiness of Alton Brown from Good Eats. As a person who adores the Food Network (mostly watched from an elliptical at the gym...), I have instant affinity for this place. It's a quiet place for you to sit and just enjoy the coffee/company. Their doors are open to everybody (yes even some characters who came in and lingered a little longer than expected by the register). The baristas are kind. There is a lot of open space (like a refurbished warehouse) with artwork of all sorts lining the walls. I have a hunch that the staff changes their oeuvres d'art pretty frequently to keep the place fresh and colorful. Warm vibes are literally rising from the floors of this place. I was going to give this place four stars, but then I changed my mind. Here's why: It's like they have an unspoken open-door policy, turning no one away. I recommended this place to my sister, and when she was waiting here for a friend (running late) to pick her up (past closing time), they offered her a free drip coffee. What astounding, 110% kindness! When you treat my family, like family... need I say more on what makes the world go 'round? Five stars for their kindness, because that goes a long way. Like, I want to befriend the owners and baristas. Maybe even the patrons who frequent this place, since they have a good eye for good coffee and good people. This is my tribe. You cannot outstay your welcome here. When I come back I'll try a drink that's more traditional, but here, it's "everyone's coffee" and the welcome mat will always be by the door. read more

I've been coming here for a little while now and really starting to love it here. The coffee is amazing and the staff is great. Always friendly with a smile. Something you don't see everywhere. The service is not as fast as one would hope, so do not expect Fourbucks service. The morning rush hour is not the time to grab a cup and be on time for work. But if you have time, this is the place to enjoy a cup of coffee and enjoy the art work that hangs inside. They say to stop and smell the roses, well this is the place to stop and smell the coffee with art. I kind of wish I was there right now. The atmosphere is great and most of the staff are super friendly and informative. Unfortunately, it's next to a homeless shelter (or something of the sort) so sometimes you get people who come in and lurk around and make everything a bit uncomfortable. When I was there, they were quite loud and simply loitering. There was also a guy in there once who was calling his various mail-order-bride-to-bes and talking about how America is crazy because women want to be equal to men. That was hard to not respond to.
