04/22/26 - it's been awhile since I've been in The Wormhole Coffee shop in Wicker Park. I came here w/both of my sisters one is visiting from Virginia & the other one lives up in Deerfield. They have Good coffee w/some very unique flavors & pastries in a cool vibe coffee shop. They have some cool memorabilia for the decor inside. I ordered the Koopa-Troopa a peanut butter mousse & vegan chocolate latte. My one sister got the Cool but Rude a fresh ginger & curry sauce latte & the other one got The Ghostly Trio White Miso Caramel & Black Sesame Latte. Cool names but the coffee was so so. The space is pretty cool & worth checking out

Atmosphere is a 10/10! It's super nostalgic with 80s/90s vibes. They even have a DeLorean on the back wall which adds such a cool touch. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Koopa Troopa latte, a peanut butter mousse and vegan chocolate blend and it was absolutely perfect for a cool, rainy day. This spot is definitely a must-visit if you're in Wicker Park!

Wormhole Coffee has to be the hipster capital of Chicago. I felt like I walked right off a 1980s Venice beach boardwalk and into this coffee shop. There was a full scale model Delorean hanging in the back, vintage 80s movie posters lining the walls, and vintage chairs and tables. I always romanticize getting a sophisticated coffee drink in a place like this. How cool would I look if I ordered something chic like a flat white or a cortado? I would love to order a drink that I would only trust someone with a nose piercing or colored hair to make, but I always end up just getting a black coffee. A straight black coffee just makes me feel so beast. It feels like smoking a Marlboro Red. It feels like running 6 miles on an empty stomach. It feels like raw dogging a 7 hour flight with no movie, music, or wifi. It's just a win to start the day. I was slightly perturbed when a small black coffee cost me $4.15, but I guess life as whole is just getting more expensive. I'd expect this in NYC, but in Chi? Damn. All good though. I sat outside sipping my delicious black coffee in a white button down with the sleeves rolled up while performatively reading Dostoevsky, fully maxing out my aura points for the week. The Wormhole blew me away. This was my second time coming, and honestly, it's still the same as my last visit more than 10 years ago. Pure 80's nostalgia, the place is covered in movie posters everywhere and even a real DeLorean from Back to the Future 2 in the back. You could spend hours just exploring the decor from every corner and still find something new. The staff was awesome too, really friendly and down to chat while you're there. I started my morning with a hot chocolate and a chocolate croissant. The croissant was flaky, crispy, but still soft inside, and dipping it into the hot chocolate... wow, just hits different. The hot chocolate itself was smooth, creamy, and rich, the perfect combo with the croissant. Honestly, this place is more than a coffee shop. It's a place where you can just sit back and relax.

Such a cool coffee spot. Definitely very popular! Lots of seating but was very busy on a Saturday. I don't remember the name of the drink I got but it was peanut butter / chocolate latte vibes and soooo good

Walking up the register and seeing a board that says "Free Palestine" is all I need to take my business elsewhere. No need to spend $4.75 for an espresso here. Plenty of coffee shops on Milwaukee.

My go to coffee shop. I come here for one of their signature lattes: ghostly trio with oat. It's a quirky neighborhood spot that's decked out in Back to The Future paraphernalia. Despite the curated theme, there's a good mix of wicker "hipsters", young families, friends catching up and professionals working away on their laptops with earbuds in. Great staff who know their regulars. Amazing art displayed at the front. Homey, local coffee shop vibes that are lacking from most of the generic coffee shops that pop up. Everywhere I live, whatever the season, I'll always be excited for a ghostly trio (and even willing to wait in line for it).

Love this place already ! They have bottomless coffee and it was slapped. The staff was kind and informative, they suggested the bottomless drip and I really appreciated that bc I was going to order one and call It a day. This place is so chill to stay and get work done or read a book, I wish I lived in the neighborhood bc I'll be a regular. Also their donuts are fire, the chocolate and glaze went crazy. Big shoutout to the wormhole for making coffee shops proud , this is the best one I've been to in a while. FYI- I wanted take more pics but the people kept rolling i

Love studying and getting work done here. They close later during the day so it's perfect for non early morning risers like me. Everyone here is doing their own thing and there's such a feeling of collectiveness. This is my second time getting the Ghostly Trio and I forgot how hard it hits. It's the perfect balance between savory and sweet. Will be coming back here again soon.

Cool coffee spot in the middle of Milwaukee avenue! Great service, neighborhood vibes, and awesome Cortado! Pro Tip: 80's nostalgic feel was a suprise and delight!

Vanilla Bean with whole milk.....one of the best coffees I've had in a long while.....

Totally would not know its there if I'm not looking for it. That said, while waiting for an event to start, I stopped in....WOW! The guy behind the counter was helpful in directi g me on what I wanted. The barista was pleasant when she brought it to me. Noticed that, great job. Since i was going to dinner, only got a coffee, the vanilla bean dark with cream was one of the best coffee's I've had in a long time. I'm not exaggerating. It was smooth, had a nice bite(strength) to it. I don't know what bean they are using but ohmygoodness. Rustic is what I would say the ambiance is all about. Trendy, definitely hip. I would be wrong if I didn't say for a small, it was pricey. But I'll be back!!!

I can't put into words how much I love this place. I dream about the Koopa Troopa regularly. Their donuts are amazing too. And their matcha. And their people. Also I met Role Model here one time.

There was already a small line of guests with the same idea, but we were able to get on the waitlist. While waiting, we checked out the small coffee shop inside the gallery and browsed the furniture, which helped pass the time. Our wait was about an hour before being escorted to our table in the courtyard. Initially, we were placed at a low coffee table with couch seating. It's a cool lounge style setup, especially for drinks, but not ideal for a meal. It would have been pretty awkward trying to eat comfortably. We asked to be moved and were told that table preferences should be requested when joining the waitlist. Since it was my first time visiting, I wasn't aware of that, and it also wasn't asked by the hostess. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate us and moved us to a table in the wine cellar. The wine cellar had a completely different vibe, dark and moody, compared to the bright, airy courtyard with its beautiful glass ceiling and natural light. We ordered the lobster roll and the RH Burger, both with fries. The food came out fairly quickly and was well-presented. The lobster roll was served on a buttery brioche with just the right amount of seasoning, and the burger was juicy and flavorful. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely visit again.

Unfortunately for us we were a table for 3 and despite having mad that reservation weeks in advance were placed in what was obviously just 2 two tops pushed together. And not in the main atrium area. Look it was still a beautiful atmosphere and our company made it a lovely evening. Why don't they have a liquor license here? Ok the food. The burrata salad, so nice and summer fresh. We also had the crispy artichokes meh. What saved my night was the chicken salad. The crispy bits...amazing all through the salad. So good. Let's talk dessert, the butterscotch crème brûlée so good. Coffee and a port wine.... Good, but where is the cheese board. This place would benefit from real liquor and a desert cheese board. I mean I must believe that RH has a cheese board on offer somewhere. Anyway, nice evening and decent food in a mostly lovely place.

The menu is quite expansive, with a surprisingly large number of seasonal drinks, sweets are huge and cover everything from braids to breads to croissants, brownies, scones, and more! All the different flavors are covered from chocolate to pistachio to tiramisu, to fruits. Similarly on the menu everything from sandwiches to salads are covered for food -- and everything from lattes to matchas to smoothies to lemonade are covered for drinks! The sheer number of options alone makes this a fantastic spot to take friends, as all the different food and drink needs can be met by the same spot. Also important is how nice this spot is decorated. The look is very clean and modern, yet there are just enough paintings, foliage, and other decor items matched with premium looking seating to give visitors an upscale cafe feeling -- with fast and friendly service, but without high prices. I've never been here before and want to try a specialty drink.
