small, minimal coffee shop with no seating. i came by once a few months ago but sadly it was closed, so i was excited to come try it this time. i got the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk, which came out to ~$8. there were 2 size options for 12oz or 16oz and the 12oz was $6.50 while the 16oz was $7 so of course i got the 16oz option. the latte was ready within just a few minutes and was looking very pretty. the matcha itself was very good, i opted for the sweetened version and it was delicious. update: i think next time ill maybe ask for it to be less sweet because after drinking about half of it, it became a bit TOO sweet for me (user error) read more

Spanish latte was delicious and they also sell variety of cocoa chocolate bar that looked super interesting with cute packaging. Staff are very friendly and efficient with fast service. Service was pretty straight forward and they had quite the set up with the baristas. i was excited to try their cappuccino. it comes in this sleek black cup and the the frothy design was elegant. however i was really disappointed... it lacked flavor and depth. I was handed a warm milk. No bitterness whatsoever. the milk was frothed delicately but it couldn't save this disappointing cap. overall do not recommend for Cappuccinos. maybe their other drinks are great. read more

My experience was great, this place is extremely busy. Yet, they do not rush the extraction of espresso shots, and they take their time with steaming to ensure perfect accuracy in each cup of coffee. That is what I truly appreciate from this place. The art of pouring a perfect drink that pair as well with a nice day. The ambiance is simple and it gets the job done. Excellent matcha - now a top on my list for Chicago. Tried it unsweetened (which not many places do because they use premade mixes) with strawberry and it was the perfect sweetness level. Absolutely the best coffee in the area. What made the experience even more exceptional was the team behind the bar. Not only did they serve an incredible espresso and milk coffee, but they also took the time to walk me through the origin of the beans and their brewing process. You could tell they genuinely care about their craft and take pride in every cup they serve. Espresso was rich and well-balanced, with bright notes that were perfectly complemented by the smoothness of the milk (I got almond milk, which often gets messed up). While my husband likes a traditional latte, I'm a matcha person & it's hard to find an actual legit matcha latte in Chicago. Yes, there are some places but they aren't using quality matcha or know how to properly prepare it. This place does. Their espresso based & matcha based options are both amazing.
