I LOVE THIS COFFEE AND LOCATION. Definetly a great place to enjoy a nice drink and look out the river. I always take visitors from out of town here for the views. Super CTA accessible too since its close to the clark and lake train station. The coffee itself is pricey but its truly worth it for a self care treat.
Beautiful location and nice seating area both indoor and outdoor. Service was a bit slow especially since i only ordered a plain black coffee.
What a gorgeous space inside!! Staff was friendly and helpful in recommending what to try- I LOVED the drink I chose. The NOLA Cold Foam is absolutely worth every delicious cent. I modified with skim milk- oat is their default milk which is awesome for the nondairy folks! No upcharge for milk modifications. Fun indoor and outdoor seating, several rooms for seating all size of groups, lots of natural lighting, would be great for dates or working.
Pretty space but coffee is kinda meh for the price (expensive). I got a caramel miso latte and the caramel was barely noticeable

Such a cute spot! Always very quick and friendly too! The iced matcha latte here is my favorite!! It is so smooth and the perfect green color. This time I topped it with cold foam and this is a game changer. The cold foam is incredible, the texture is perfect!
This is a cute little minimalist coffee shop right downtown. The customer service was very good, and they are moving pretty efficiently because they were pretty busy. The pastries looked fresh and tasty. The coffee, I believe I got a mocha, was pretty good, not overly sweet. They even did a cute heart with the foam. They also serve tea and hot chocolate. If I'm in the area again, I would return. It looks like they are official with the roasting, and they have a brand. It was a good-quality cup of coffee that I enjoyed on an early morning.
I came in a weekday afternoon. The cafe is spacious filled with natural light, thanks to the large windows. There are plenty of seating options - sofa seats, windows seats, and outdoor seats. So you can surely suit yourself with whatever mood you feel like. I have some sentiments towards Blue Bottle because I lived in San Francisto for several years, where it started as tiny valley shops. I used to sip their coffee standing - there weren't even chairs lol. So the first time I saw one in Chicago a few years ago, I was so surprised to see it standing nowadays as such a polished, modern space. If you've had Blue Bottle in California back in the early days, then you'd know they are good for LATTEs. Any sort of latte. Their beans have a milder taste comparing to some other brands that are good for espresso. I also tried their avocado toast. The flavor's decent, nothing fancy. Baristas were friendly. It was a rainy day, and it's very soothing to just sit by the window, watch the city outside, sip my coffee and do a bit writing. I've had other days sitting outdoor by the river, watching boats pass by. Anyway, it's a great spot to spend some time.

The space is clean, bright, and beautifully designed, with big windows that let in tons of natural light -- making it a great spot to work or relax with a cup of coffee. The coffee and food are solid -- nothing over the top, but consistently good. The service is friendly and efficient, which I really appreciate, especially when it gets busy. Sadly, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Except the great view. It's a very sterile coffee house. The coffee was fine, but the breakfast sandwich was not good. The bacon was raw so I asked them to remake it or fry up a side of bacon for me to replace it on the sandwich. They offered to remake it, but honestly, I wouldn't order it again.
First time going to this location and I have to definitely go back more often at least while I'm in the office to take a break from being inside of the office. I do think their latte is a little bit overpriced cause that was 8 something for just a 16 ounce of ice latte I do like that. I already came with with oat milk so I didn't have to make a substitution but I typically like almond milk in my lattes but that would've made it nine dollars so I just kept it as the oat milk. I went around 3 PM. It was pretty quiet in there not super busy. I did order through the app that way I didn't have to wait in line just in case they were busy, but walked in and grabbed my drink and that was it. Staff is super cool and nice. Spoke to me even though I didn't order directly with them so that was nice.
4.8 stars if that was a possible rating. The staff is always friendly the vibe of the place is upbeat yet still chill. The latte is what my husband gets and the aroma and flavor hit the spot every time.
I ordered the NOLA shakerato. The 16oz was $10.34. Which personally is a bit pricey for a coffee in my opinion. It was tasty but not that good. Def a decent place to work with lots of tables
Some people might say, "if you been to one Blue Bottle, you've been to them all", well I beg to differ when it comes to this location. Located near the Merchandise Mart and overlooking the Chicago River, this location has floor to ceiling windows with amazing views in every direction. Considering the layout, I am sure this place is frequented those who work and/or live nearby. There are plenty of table/chair combos; the perfect setup for laptop and tablet work. I stopped through on Saturday morning and there was a number of people already setup with their respective devices. They also have music playing in the background (at a very acceptable volume level) which for me, just added to the vibe. The staff, were friendly and helpful. Add to that, they did an awesome job of managing the line as it never got too long. As for drinks and food, no complaints here. It's consistent with the Blue Bottle level of quality I have come to expect and appreciate. Overall, I highly recommend checking out this location. read more

The space is super spacious with lots of spots to work, but it does get pretty packed. Still a solid study/work cafe overall. Service was amazing. The server was really friendly, asked how my day was, and gave great recommendations. The cherry blossom matcha was surprisingly really good and super unique. It has this slightly umami, sweet flavor. First sip was a little unexpected (almost tasted like medicine), but it actually tastes really good after a few sips and grows on you. Not too overpowering either. The grilled ham & cheese was also a standout. Perfectly toasted bread with a really good balance of Swiss cheese and ham. Simple but done really well. read more

Blue Bottle serves great coffee, but it is definitely on the pricier end. I ordered the NOLA Cold Foam which was creamy and sweet, as well as a Breakfast Sandwich with hot sauce - not bad, the hot sauce was good. The Wolf Point location seems to be the largest in Chicago with plenty of seating and great aesthetics. The staff were friendly and the place was kept very clean. They have free WiFi but it's so slow I don't even know if it works. read more

This coffee shop has some amazing offerings! The winter blend and winter espresso both sounded divine. The winter blend has notes of dark chocolate, molasses and blackberry while the winter espresso features flavors of dark chocolate, raspberry and salted toffee. I ultimately went with the winter latte which also had hints of juniper and pink peppercorn and wasn't overly sweet. The coffee is a perfect roast and the latte was just beautifully balanced in flavor and depth. The shop itself is airy and bright and they had plenty of seating available for catching up, people watching, or studying. Our cashier was little standoffish but knowledgeable on the menu while the baristas were very quick yet polite. If you need a good cup of coffee, Blue Bottle is definitely a must try! read more

Blue Bottle Coffee impressed me with how distinct the espresso was--sweet, layered, and carrying clear blueberry notes that stood out right away. I enjoyed the Americano more than the pour over, though I always appreciate when a barista makes a pour over manually. The service was excellent. The staff were friendly, patient, and took time to answer all of my questions about their beans and brewing process, which made the experience even better. The location itself is beautiful year-round--it's the kind of café you can enjoy whether you're looking for a quick coffee stop or a place to settle in. Overall, a memorable visit that makes me want to return. read more

The coffee was great, but the staff and service left much to be desired. I visited this location while in Chicago and was really looking forward to it. The line was long, which was expected, so we waited patiently. However, when it came time to order, the employee was rude and standoffish, which caught me off guard. Just be prepared for poor customer service at this location. I ordered the iced sweet latte which was yummy. It's my go to when I come to blue bottle. I really enjoyed it. Luckily we were taking our drinks to go, so didn't need to sit inside and deal with the employees longer than 10 mins. read more

I got their seasonal cherry blossom latte and I was expecting it to be on the sweeter side with some floral notes but it really just tasted like a regular latte. My friend also got the cherry blossom latte but with matcha and it was way sweeter so I would get that next time. read more

I stopped by Blue Bottle Coffee and tried the Everything Croissant along with the seasonal Cherry Blossom Latte. The latte had a nice balance of light floral notes, espresso, and milk, with freshly grated ruby milk chocolate adding a subtle berry-like sweetness. The cherry and white tea flavors were delicate but noticeable.The Everything Croissant was a great savory complement-flaky, buttery, and packed with tlavor.Beyond the food and drinks, the minimalist vibe stood out. More like 3.5!!! I absolutely loveeee coffee at Blue Bottle and especially their take on the seasonal coffee drinks. But it leaves me torn between my love for their coffee and the strain it brings on my wallet. This place can't be your everyday-go-to coffee place unless you're ready to shell out steep price that is $10+ tip for 12 oz cup. I tried their seasonal Saffron Vanilla Latte. The divine aroma of saffron complemented well with sweet notes of vanilla. 5/5 for the coffee. This location is fairly spacious compared to Tribune tower one. It's clean, neat, upscale, very roomy. However, it's still always packed and the location is so good, I'd rather get my coffee, come out of the coffee shop and sit outside, overlooking or by the Chicago river. Apart from the hefty price, only reason I'm chopping off one more star is because my barista was unfriendly and looked so disinterested in taking my order, didn't greet/smile at all. Overall, I'll say this coffee undeniably falls under premium coffee; it's not your regular coffee shop. read more
After a busy day strolling through the One-of-a-Kind popup at the Merchandise Mart next door, we popped in to the Blue Bottle to recharge before we headed out. As always, the smell of freshly roasted and ground beans welcomed us as soon as we entered the door. One hot chocolate, one affogato, and a NOLA affogato later, we were sitting by a window and watching the crowds wandering North of the River. Slow and easy, we relished every bite and felt the energy building back up before we headed out into the blustery late afternoon. Thank you Blue Bottle for a great recharge! read more
I've been a fan of blue bottle coffee for the New Orleans coffee since I tried it 2 years ago! The flavor is very unique and balanced sweetness. I don't see on the menu so I'm not sure if it's like a secret drink. Their bakery selection is also tasty especially the croissant. I love coming here while taking a nice long walk. read more
My sweet latte made with almond milk was AMAZING & I don't usually favour almond milk! The place is very open & spacious. There are many, many seats & different types of seating arrangements (countertop seating in the very back, near the front corner, & at the front facing the employees, wooden booth seating on the side, baby chairs & a lowered toddler level table near the back, tables that fit 4 at the middle interior). Outlets everywhere! They sell a number of very cute items like instant coffee packages & drip coffee methodologies. 2 bathrooms in the back. Gorgeous 5000 kelvin lighting inside (white, 'daylight'). Stunning views of w wolf point plaza & the bridge that leads to Wacker drive, and the Chicago River. Music is average volume - not too loud, could be ignored while working but paid attention to if a song you like comes on. Stunning & would come back to work all day at in a heartbeat. What a demur place for a cup of hand crafted coffee. You would never know this place was here unless you literally googled it. The product the brand is great. We did have to wait long. The drinks are not like your typical coffee spots definitely a smaller menu and not crazy shots and sizes flavors and offerings. Very clean and easy on the eyes. The only thing that would have mattered would be if my croissant was heated other than that I'd be back. read more
First time going to a Blue Coffee Café. This one has a minimalistic feel to it, just like an Apple store. Clean lines and great tasting coffee. They have a variety of coffee from around the world and good seating inside or out with a beautiful view of downtown Chicago. read more

Wow. What a wonderful place. The food and drinks are yummy and I just love the atmosphere. I went here to study and I have to say I think the structure of the place is perfect for it. I often get distracted when coffee shops are too compact with a lot of noise and people close together but this place is very open with well spaced furniture. Not to mention the view. The natural lighting from the big windows has to be the cherry on top. The matcha latte from here is one of the best I've had. read more
Beautiful cafe by the River! My girlfriend and I checked out Blue Bottle Coffee's Wolf Point location and noticed how aesthetic and spacious the cafe is. The interior and space caught us by surprise because it looked like it would be small from the outside, but there were tons of seating and space inside. The interior was very modern and the space was very clean. They have tables all around the cafe and the bathrooms in the back were very nice as well. We ordered the OJI Slow Drip and the Iced NOLA (Iced New Orleans Coffee) The OJI Slow Drip was recommended to us and the drink is a Japanese-style cold brew served over ice. The OJI Drip has a very bold and strong flavor, but we liked the drink a lot!The Iced NOLA is our go to order and it always hits the spot. Overall this Blue Bottle Coffee location is a beautiful and spacious cafe with top notch service and drinks. Highly recommend checking out this spot to catch up on work or for some good coffee! read more

Tried their nola cream cold brew. Really tasty. A very nice place to work and they have a variety of seating options. Although they need more plug points. Their service was quick. Will try more foods next time. read more
