Caramel Iced Latte, spicy cucumber margarita, lost in love.
Judy S.

Such a cute spot! The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating--we chose a charming table outside, tucked under a little white umbrella. Our server, Gabriella, was fantastic. Be sure to ask for her! We stopped in for a late brunch, but the restaurant has a full menu and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day long. We ordered the flight of waffles, the flight of French toast, and a flavorful Mexican omelette. The coffee was also really good. The caramel latte is a must--rich, smooth, and just the right hint of sweetness. And of course, we couldn't skip a brunch cocktail! You must try the spicy cucumber margarita. It's unbelievably refreshing and delicious. All the drinks are freshly made. The presentation of the drinks is top-notch--mine even had a little sparkle in it All in all, the experience was fantastic. Oak Park is such a darling area, and this place is a gem worth discovering.

Fiesta omelet with potatoes.

The wait time to be seated was less than 30 minutes. Server was pleasantly accommodating. The omelet was good. It's on the salty side but good. It also came with two pancakes which were really delicious.

Absolutely best service in the area. They were so great at accommodating our party which included two littles. The food is the perfect portion and everything tasted great. Everything was reasonably priced. The bathrooms were clean but small. The is located towards the front of house which is unique and the bar is towards the back where they freshly make all the delicious drinks.

Plain pancakes

I did order to-go. I was greeted by a host a few seconds after entering. No issues with the experience inside the restaurant as I ordered. Glad there wasn't any loud music, actually, I don't recall hearing any music. The setting was nice. The food was pretty good. I ordered the short-rib stack with plain pancakes. Not sure I can eat short ribs when it has too many fat pieces. The only issue which is a big one is that there were no utensils or napkins in the bag...what am I an animal. I thought to eat in the park but had to leave since my parking was expiring. I wanted to grab a few bites on the road...I know not the best choice but that was my situation at the time. I was distraught when I didn't see any utensils. Luckily I found a spork in my car. What a relief it was. I may return to dine in or maybe try the patio. If they had given me utensils I would've given them a 5 ‍

Breakfast Burrito

Greetings all my Foodzies, Sunday morning I had a taste for pancakes, so we decided to go to Chicago Waffle at 726 Lake st in Oak Park. Our server Bailey was polite, friendly and very attentive. To quench my desire for pancakes I chose the red velvet pancakes it was a great choce, i received 4 nice sized pancakes with candied walnuts, whipped butter, sliced fresh strawberries, chocolate sauce and vanilla frosting; I topped it with warm syrup and it was heavenly. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and mixed with everything else each bite was a velvet treat. Glenda had the breakfast burrito with the house potatoes. The burrito was filled with well seasoned chorizo, tomato, avocado onions jalapeño and sour cream. Very tasty. I give this restaurant 5 stars. Try it and let me know what you think. Ciao Ciao for now.

I finally got a chance to check this place out. It has been on my food places list to visit. The atmosphere was nice and everyone here was nice. My server Nicholas was very attentive and made sure everything was ok with me. The food came out quickly and cooked just the way I liked. I stayed with ordering a traditional breakfast. Wheat Toast, Eggs, Bacon and Red Potatoes. I was pleased with the experience of dining here. I live 5 mins away so I will definitely be back to try out other dishes and drinks on the menu. Especially the mimosas and lattes.

We came here on a Saturday about 1:00 p.m. for breakfast/lunch. I've been to the Michigan and the South loop location unto my surprise this one was not crowded. When you make a reservation, you're in the type of system where they text you constantly for you to confirm your reservation which is very annoying! For our food I did go to the vegetarian a skillet which had potatoes, spinach, mushrooms and other assorted vegetables and I just got regular pancakes that did not have multi-grain. The breakfast was okay. My guest got like a half of breakfast meal with turkey sausage. Add it. We didn't get anything spectacular and I didn't want to spend loads because this was going to be your day packed with activities. If you're in the area, give them a check out and definitely be on the lookout for free parking because on the street that it sits on you do have to feed it the meters.

Waffle flight & Short rib skillet Mimosa & Lost in love drinks
Jazzmine R.

The restaurants was quite packed today on this beautiful Sunday. The restaurant was packed with people upon check in. It was very busy. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We were greeted upon entry, so that was very nice. Ambiance was cute. Lots of autumn/ Halloween decor. Photo op area was a nice touch. The drinks we ordered were a mimosa and the lost in love. The lost in love was good, I would order it again. The waffle flight, sadly I was underwhelmed by this. There were four different flavors, the red velvet was the most distinct, the others didn't really have distinguished flavors and tasted very much the same. I should have gotten a skillet. My boyfriend got the short rib skillet and it was pretty good. He enjoyed it a lot. The potatoes were perfectly crisp on one side and serving the middle, the meat tender and juicy, the eggs sunny side up. It was a good pick. I think this would make a good boozy brunch spot, as the drinks are affordable and taste good. I will have to come back again and try something else. Overall it was a decent experience, I hope to try something I will love sometime soon.

Irish Beny
Darcy B.

The food is okay, but not for the price, even in a trendy Oak Park restaurant. I had the Irish Beny (which, let's be real, should be spelled Benny) and was unsatisfied paying $17 for canned corned beef hash, an overcooked egg and a hollandais with a poor ratio of flavor (far too lemony). A note on the menu: poor. More items than they can handle properly, I think, but also littered with typos. The pictures do the food aesthetic no justice and turned me off a number of items. The salmon Beny seems to be one Benedict with no sides... for $20? Girl, please. The service was fine. The server wasn't attentive, did spill my friend's drink and wasn't knowledgeable on available teas, but she was new and I can forgive that. The host overlooked a group that had been waiting. And, though there was a handwritten sign warning of no split checks, there was no warning for the processing fee if paying with card. Nice one. As for the set up: I think it's a little awkward that the kitchen is by the door but if that's how the building is built, nothing to be done. The decor is your typical trendy floral with some funny waffle-themed paintings and additional random art hung up. A few TVs. A malfunctioning neon sign. Too many tables (small and cramped; shouldn't be forced to fit four people) to be comfortable and yet not enough to meet demand. Overall, I was unimpressed and won't be back. Would not recommend.

Forever & a day, I've been searching for fruit (mixed-in-batter) waffles ... NOT just waffles with fruit on the side . This dish covers that with a wide variety of ALL my favorites (chocolate, fruit & nuts) ... !!¹ Jackie, only waitress manning 13 tables inside, was an absolute delight ... perky, efficient, & quick! Bright, airy & welcoming experience ... guaranteed added to my favorites!!! #PatioDining

Lemon Blueberry cheesecake waffle - amazing and not too sweet!
Stephanie C.

They have a huge selection of sweet or savory breakfast and lunch dishes! street parking so plan ahead if you're with a group. I would definitely call ahead to make sure there's seating. We had a medium size group of 7. Cool experience, the kitchen is in the front and you can see your food being prepared. They also have patio seating in the front. Restrooms are clean. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable. I had the lemon blueberry cheesecake waffles topped with fresh fruit with syrup on the side. Great brunch option if you're opting for something sweet, but this isn't too sweet! Had a great time and will definitely go again!

Cubed short ribs and breakfast potatoes.

I ordered the waffles with short ribs, which I've had in the past and it was normally really good. This time, not good at all. The short ribs were cubed with some very strange tasting gravy. It was more like beef stew without the veggies. Also, some of the waffles were soaked in this gravy and was pretty disgusting. I had a side of breakfast potatoes which were tasteless. Overall, I wasted $30 +, so I won't be venturing to this establishment again. Very disappointing experience, where once it received high marks from me. I didn't give a minus review, based on the fact that they were very fast! All I can say is what did you do to the short ribs. Yikes!

Oh this salad is so fresh and delicious the dressing was the key it was definitely balsamic and a smoky like favor that I was loving!! The entree was lamb chops with mashed potatoes ohhhh it was literally too pretty to eat lol but it was a nice portion not too much but enough to get you full! The sauce was another favorite and I had to ask for more as I'm a dipper it was very rich and flavorful! The lamb chops were medium well - so it was cooked to perfection!! Now can we talk about the drinks! Again based on Nina's recommendation I got the pink coco (2) and the upstate vodka fresh and I loved them all!! Overall the meals were great-reasonably menu with lots of option for beef, pasta, chicken, salad and sea food! They even had a few vegan options! Their prices in my opinion were reasonable for this meal of summed up to about $85 with taxes but did have 3 drinks and salad w entree! Guys it's such a hidden gem in my opinion as it's nestled close to a few restaurants, but I absolutely loved everything and recommend coming here for a dinner date, or even lunch!! VIBE: The dining room was large and rather dim, with dark wood tones. We were glad to have a window table for more light. I cannot recall if there was music playing, so that says something. It was not busy, so noise from other tables was minimal. SERVICE: our server, David, was cordial and attentive. Food was comfortably coursed and arrived at a timely pace. FOOD: We enjoyed everything. The Hoja Santa salad was fresh and delicious, with an interesting mix of ingredients. Ditto the Bruselas, highlighted by a tangy tamarind-anise glaze. The Pescado big plate was highlighted by perfectly-cooked shrimp and a tasty sauce; accompanying sea bass was OK. Wine-wise, the Incognito red blend and the Santo Tomas were inoffensive but dull (and overpriced). We enjoyed our visit, and are looking forward to returning (and hopefully enjoying better wine). @

Chef Gabriel's food is creative and delicious. His brother-in-law Jose, I believe, is the one behind the great cocktail list and making housemade aperitifs. The four of us shared two appetizers. The tuna tartare - chopped tuna on top of creamy avocado surrounded by crispy capers and quail yolk. It was served with homemade potato and vegetable chips. We also shared the goat cheese - creamy melted goat cheese sitting in a pool of tasty marinara. This was served with grilled baguette pieces. This appetizer could use more of the baguette as we ran out of bread and still had goat cheese left to enjoy. For dinner, my sister had the gnocchi with braised beef, short rib, spinach and mushrooms. I know this dish was delicious because this is what my husband ordered the first time we dined here. My two cousins had the chicken limone and said it was very good. (I have my eye on this for next time ). I opted for the branzino which was moist and served in a delicious lemon caper sauce. I would like to see a traditional pasta with marinara sauce on the menu. I think that would be a great addition for clientele who are into the traditional instead of the creative and unique. There was no room for dessert, but shots of limoncello came to the table. So sweet of Divino. Let me tell you the limoncello was amazing. Luckily, I was able to buy a bottle of this housemade limoncello. Since the four of us were raving about the limoncello, right before we walked out the door Divino gave us a tasting of the housemade pistachio cream. Omg! So smooth, creamy and divine.
