This used to be one of my most favorite cocktail lounges! Yet I understand everywhere can have issues but this is just Disgusting! I went to the washroom closest to the kitchen BAM there she was walking around! Have the owners heard of pest control?!? Do they even care? Gross just gross! Visitors beware! Now you know if there 1 there's many More especially did u see the size she is ?

Using portrait on my iPhone - The image features three wine glasses, two with red wine and one empty, along with a water glass, arranged on a dark bar or table surface. The background is blurred, indicating a dimly lit interior of a bar or lounge, with some illuminated objects and seating visible. The setting appears to be an indoor space designed for social drinking.

This is my second visit here the last time I was here in February 2020 before the pandemic hit I think we define our lives now before and after the pandemic If you're looking for a place to tuck in a corner with a book or sit in ambient glow, and this is your place, this service is friendly, but not obtrusive. In case you don't want to sit in your hotel room and contemplate life.

Grove Board Charcuterie - A wooden charcuterie board features slices of cured meats, including salami and prosciutto, along with slices of cheese. Small black bowls containing condiments or spreads are placed behind the board. The setup is on a dark textured table, with a basket of bread visible in the background.

While the atmosphere and location were lovely (except for the occassional uber eats drivers parked on Marion, engine idling, in front of our table), we were extremely disappointed with the Grove Board charcuterie plate. At $36, 5 thinly sliced salami, some prosciutto and 6 TINY pieces of cheese (COME ON, this is a joke!), we felt pretty much ripped off. Quite ridiculous IMHO. Not to mention we waited 30 minutes for it....seriously, it's some cheese and salami. If we do return, it will only be for a drink. 4 glasses of wine, the charcuterie board and small dish of olives = $112

Kettlestrings collins - A tall, clear glass contains a light-colored cocktail with ice, topped with a fried food garnish and a black straw. The drink is on a dark, round table in a dimly lit indoor setting, with a candle and a window showing parked cars in the background.

We only came in for a drink and a treat but it's a really nice spot. The inside is homey and quiet. Great for an intimate date night. I got the smoked old fashioned. Expensive but wonderful it smelled like a camp fire and was delicious. My boyfriend got the kettlestrings collins which was lemony and refreshing. We finished with their tarts for dessert. Delicious! This is great if your looking for a place to go before a show or a movie. The staff was really friendly we really enjoyed our time. Yes its expensive... but worth it.

They wouldn't let me take a picture of the drink Erick the server spilled. The employees here were rude, and disrespectful. - A person is cleaning a textured metal table outdoors, using a cloth. The individual is wearing a black shirt and a watch on their left wrist. In the background, bicycles and parked cars are visible on a street with brick pavement and storefronts.

The owner and server spilled a drink I paid fully for. Server name Erick and manager who knows mexican. This place needs to be shut down asap!

Gave this new place in Oak Park a try the other week. Great cocktails, good nibbles, stylish decor. Excellent spot for happy hour.

It had a base of pureed butternut squash, a different temperature than the salmon, and the roasted/salted kale underneath, also served with pickled onion. It was fine. We had a small loaf of their bread as an appetizer, served with a goat cheese and a red pepper sauce (perfect spicing), also deemed very good. The hummus plate was also good. My partner had their eggplant dish, which she said was fine, not amazing, but good. Each of us, save me, had a drink (except me, the designated driver) of alcohol or wine. Also good to very good. I had their coffee, which (an Americano) was quite good. For a side, we tried their mac & cheese, which is mac and another pasta and cheese with panko, strangely delicious. I say strangely, because it looked pretty standard but the flavorings were good, and it retained its heat. This ran about $60ea (incl wine or liquor + coffee). Oddly, after decent beignets, I looked at the tab to find that a 3% surcharge had been added. I asked, Why? It was immediately withdrawn without explanation. I would recommend viewing their menu online to see if it fits with your budget and dietary desires. There are vegetarian entrees, and meat options (including an Amish Chicken half, which was rated good) that might suit you. It's good food. It is not totally amazing or exemplary, so no five stars. Would we go back? Maybe. Watch your bill carefully.

The meal started with complimentary chips and salsa. I ordered a mezcal margarita (fruta picanta) and my friend got a mango cocktail (mangasa). I liked mine a lot, my friend didn't care for the tajin rim on hers, and the waiter offered to replace it, but she stuck with it and liked it in the end. There were so many great sounding things on the menu, with gluten free and vegetarian options. We ended up splitting the calabaza- an acorn squash stuffed with mushroom risotto and also the wild mushroom tostada. The calabaza was great for winter, warm and filling. The tostada was lighter but really delicious, it was probably my favorite of the two. It was a great dinner, that I would definitely visit again if I'm back in town.

Thank goodness we had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server Meyah was super friendly. We started with a few cocktails ..one being the Oaxacan Old Fashion..smokey and delicious. For our entrees we tried the Barbacoa Tacos and Blackened Fish(Tilapia) tacos. Both entrees were 21.00 for 3 tacos but no rice or beans on the side so a little pricey in my opinion. Street parking is a challenge but they do offer valet for 5.00. They have a fantastic patio that is open in the summer so we will definitely be back to enjoy a few cocktails and Latin American eats.

The vibe inside is perfect for an intimate evening or afternoon lunch. Dark wood seating, an ample sized bar with dim lighting makes this a comfortable, chic spot. There is street side outdoor seating; however, there were no table umbrellas during our visit. The staff greeted us immediately and was happy to review the menu with us. We had the mole with roasted broccoli and cauliflower, unicorn pescado tacos and a Plato Fuerte with shrimp, lobster and chicken in a tasty creamy sauce. We loved all of the entrées; however, thought the mole was a lacking the traditional mole flavors we've tried before. The unicorn fish tacos were the standout and were crispy and delicious! We also appreciated the 4 taco serving, which was perfect for two. Prices were on point with other similar style restaurants in Oak Park, slightly elevated but fair for the quality of ingredients. Let's not forget the cocktails...outstanding!

On the downside, the bone marrow was undercooked, and we actually found a piece of aluminum foil in the mac and cheese that was prepared without truffle (menu states truffle). They remade it but it was a miss for us. The tres leches was underwhelming and a bit dry. Service was good--our waitress was attentive--but she didn't seem to know the menu very well. For example, we were told the street corn wouldn't be on the cob, but it was. Overall, some hits and some misses. Ambiance is ok - there's nothing that stands out. Drinks and mains were good, but a few things really missed the mark. For the price I don't think I would return.
