The slider appetizer here is to die for. The quality of the slider portions and the flavor is amazing. I get it without the bacon because I don't eat pork, but it is amazing still. They have Italian beef eggrolls that are one in 1 million. The outer dough is always crispy and the Italian beef inside is always flavorful and tender. It comes with a side of aus ju and you top it off with a little Tabasco and it is a 10 out of 10. The wings here are not the skimpy meatless wings. They are thiiick! The ranch is solid and they don't charge extra for it if you need more. Great for those ranch "drinkers" lol. That's ask have a Mangonaso cocktail that's perfect. My wife is picky when it comes to mixed drinks and it was perfect and she couldn't stop ordering them. This place is great for groups or even a date night. Anywhere I see these on a menu in the Chicagoland area I HAVE to try them and these did not disappoint! We each had a Bloody Mary that was good. The raspberry martini was delicious. I suppose I'm torn because of the price point for the drinks and selection of music they had playing. The music was more for the younger generation. I don't see the generation that likes that music are going to pay $12 for a drink in Berwyn. I've been going to Lavergne's since the day they open and it's always a nice place to choose in Berwyn. Doesn't usually disappoint. I love trying new places but somedays I don't want to think about where to go so I know Lavergne's will always deliver. This day I order a Cheeseburger with an Egg on it & some tater tots. For my appetizer I had their famous Italian Beef Egg Rolls. Both superb. As you can tell from my previous sentences, I plan on going back to Lavergne's and having another good time. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5/5 stars is because the service is mid (not bad but nothing out of this world) and the prices are similar to city of Chicago prices, so it's not an every other day kind of meal. Great place to grab a drink and food with friends! The staff was very nice and helpful, food tasted great, and the vibes were relaxed like a typical sports bar would feel. We got the Cubano and Birria grilled cheese which I would recommend. The grilled cheese was toasted perfectly with tender braised beef. A one second dip in the consome was enough to make the bread soft so it doesn't rip the top of your mouth like many toasted sourdough breads do. They had slots and TVs all over the restaurant so it's a fun atmosphere. The only downside is that everything is fairly expensive. Drinks were expensive for a Berwyn bar. (Something like $15 for a vodka soda) Server was bad. She brought me a different drink (always wrong) every time I asked for another. She messed up the bill three times. Bartender was good.(usually had to go up to him to fix my drink) Other servers seemed to have their $h!t together. We had a couple appetizers and a round of $5 shots but after a couple hours I didn't expect a $350 bill for two of us. (Better than the $600 one she first dropped off and the $500 second). Restaurant was clean and definitely had an upgrade from garvs. We might come back but it's not your neighborhood bar to sit and drink at anymore. Food was good. I love the egg rolls. Drinks: There is a good variety of drinks to select, for beers its decent and focuses on local breweries. Could be larger. Dinner: I had the Burger of the Day which was PHENOMENAL! The prices aren't that bad on most things. After getting off the train, it was time to watch a game. It wasn't busy yet and everyone was sitting at the bar and there was plenty of room. There's also a large dining area with quite a few tables. Good drink deals are often going on. This time it was Mondays, so it was $5 whiskey sours. As for the food, kick ass. There's the usual bar stuff, as well as healthier items. Even has an Impossible Burger. It's about $14 but it's a big one. This comes with caramelized onions, lettuce, tomatoes, vegan cheddar, and white balsamic, good stuff. Has stuff that's cheap and expensive. It's known for the drink specials. On a whim today we went to Lavergne's for brunch. My husband wanted to be able to watch The Bears and I wanted a good brunch. I cannot begin to say how delicious my meal was! I had the avocado and street corn toast recommended to me by our server. I added a side of sausage and a pancake ( because you have to have savory and sweet!) and changed the eggs to scrambled. It was terrific. Lavergne's has always been a great go to but today they knocked it out of the park. Came in on a Friday night and this spot had such a great vibe! Not overly crowded and there was patio seating too. We got the depot sliders to start and they were so delicious! Definitely could've had a few more and have it as my dinner lol I ended up getting the shrimp tacos for the entree and they were bigger than I thought they'd be and were delicious. Food is amazing but the star of the show was definitely the raspberry martini!! I think I had 3 and when I left was thinking about next time getting it again lol The only "bad" thing I'd have to say is this place was kinda warm inside. That is really awesome of Lavergne's to support a small community school like that! That's what brought me in for the first time tonight, and I will 1000% definitely return!! My family ordered the pescado tacos, cauliflower tacos, sliders & tater tots, and an Impossible Burger on a gluten-free bun with the truffle fries- all to-go. The order was ready in less than 15 minutes! And every single item was fabulous! I've taken photos of our take-out meals, but I'm sure they look more impressive if you eat in. There is a nice size outdoor patio on the back. I wanted so bad to try the Italian beef egg rolls (minus the cheese). But the egg rolls were pre-made. I don't like cheese on certain foods. I just ordered the chicken wings. Which came out just the way I like them nice and crispy. The atmosphere was very chilled and comfortable. I've been coming here for a long while but will have to be taking this place off of my go-to's. They used to have an amazing avocado bruschetta toast and now it is no more. Their bruschetta is all thrown together with burnt pieces of bread nothing special not that good. Ordered the potstickers and gross! They have coleslaw at the bottom and are soggy from being drizzled in soy sauce and siracha. Also asked the server for soy sauce to dip those nasty things in and he brought back balsamic reduction. I also ordered the goat cheese in marinara sauce- should've been called bread and marinara cause there were like 3 crumbs of goat cheese and nothing but marinara.
