After walking in I was quickly sat by a very friendly man and quickly after my even friendlier waitress came over and took my order. I ordered the hungry man's breakfast and was so happy when they told me they had gluten free toast as I've recently discovered I'm very sensitive to gluten. Not more than 10 min later my breakfast was out. I have absolutely 0 complaints about this breakfast. All of the meat was well cooked and tasted fantastic. My personal go-to breakfast is the "Hungry Man's(Woman's?!!)" in which you can choose your eggs, bread, sides. What went well??? EVERYTHING. We were greeted with a cheery GOOD MORNING. Felt like an at home breakfast but with much more volume. You have to have the fresh squeezed orange juice. There's a juicer machine on the counter that is mesmerizing. I had gluten free strawberry and banana pancakes that were truly amazing. I could only eat one since it was the size of Rhode Island. The coffee was so smooth. Best straight black as it didn't need any assistance to make it palatable. I would take a different route just to eat here again. And our server Christine was top notch. I've always driven past this place but never had the time to stop in until a Sunday afternoon around 1:00. It wasn't too busy, and we were helped right away with our drink orders. For food, we got the California Club with a side of fries and the spinach, tomato, and Swiss omelette. I didn't realize how big the omelette would be -- it came with hashbrowns and two pancakes, so it was a full meal. Obviously, I couldn't finish it all! Everything was very good. I had asked for extra crispy hashbrowns, and while some came out a bit burnt, that was on me. I didn't end up trying the pancakes, but I will next time. I ambiance was cute, they had it nicely decorated for Christmas (I forgot to take a pic) the food was good, my only complaint is I asked for sunny side up on my skillet and received 3 poached/hard boiled almost and 1 soft boiled egg. My husband found this great restaurant since we had to go to Lombard to run an errand. The place was very busy which always equates to good food. Our server was Colleen, so friendly and sweet. She provided great service. The menu is pretty extensive for breakfast and I love that you can have your choice of sides, including biscuits & gravy with many breakfast items. Even though this place was fully packed, our wait was minimal. You can check their wait time on Google. I didn't notice until it was too late, but you can get specialty coffee drinks. Next time! And there will be a next time. My husband had the corned beef hash breakfast with 3 eggs and hash browns. He choose the biscuits & gravy for his side. I had the avocado & bacon omelette. We drove by the restaurant and didn't realize it was there. We also missed the parking lot and instead parked on the street and had to trek there in the snow. I was not happy about this. Just happened to run into this breakfast spot and I am glad I did. The food was out of this world, fresh, tasty and full of flavor!! I got the Chicken and Waffles Deluxe which had a chipotle infused maple syrup, some bacon bits and this delicious aioli . The chicken breast was seasoned to perfection and wasn't pounded too thin. The wifey had a chorizo sausage skillet that was just too much to finish, but was nicely made. Their service was quick, helpful and gave the table great recommendations, ask for Heather, she's fantastic. The owner and chef, Tony, can be seen whipping up these wonderful creations and checking on the quality of the food that was served. The restaurant sits on a busy corner, but has their own dedicated parking lot, which is located in the back. If you take public transportation, the Lombard Metra station is directly across the street. The tables, floors, and menus were all clean. They had some soft music playing, but you can hear the kitchen working, something I prefer over music, gives you an inside view of how they run the place. I will be coming here again, telling everyone that will listen to my voice that this place is legit. I have judged a breakfast restaurant by their pancakes. Egg House pancakes were exceptional; they had a bit of a nutty flavor to them (nutmeg? Buckwheat?). I finished the small stack. My waitress warned me that the "two eggs are like four eggs", she was not kidding either. Egg House has shredded hash brown potatoes or sliced potatoes grilled with onions. I went with the potatoes and onion option; it needed a bit of salt, but every table had a sea salt grinder to season to taste.
