My hate of American breakfast food is well-documented in my reviews. 9:08 am and I am having vegan pizza with mushrooms I really cannot believe that EVERYONE who is American only wants eggs, waffles, pancakes etc. This place is fantastic. Clean, great service, nice ambiance for a little carryout place with a small bit of seating. Many beverages and vegan/vegetarian/omnivore pasta salads to carry out for food for dinner if it is too late or you are too tired to make the venture out after a long day of work. Yes, totally stupid, but they give the strong, sturdy CHINET plates with food, if anyone besides me even remembers those. I eat out of the box and smuggle the Chinet quality plates home. Service was great, and they got my food out quickly. Gentleman at the order counter is very helpful and friendly. Food was incredible. Only issue is the parking and seating. Do not go here expecting to find a parking spot, it's packed. and if you try to park on the side like everyone else, you'll be asked to move. Don't even waste your time, just park somewhere else and walk over. Seating is also limited and packed. Unless you want to be elbow to elbow with strangers, take it to go. Overall great food and service, but for how busy they are, they don't have the space, especially during lunchtime. read more

Thank you to all the other people who took the time to review this golden spot. I was a few miles away from my home area when I searched under the good old "current location " button, and this one popped up. On that first visit, I had a delicious and highly recommended Italian sub and a slice of pizza. Both were out of this world. Now, on today's visit I went for a bigger, riskier challenge in my mind - the Italian beef. Why risky? Because I am a bit of an Italian beef snob. Not because I believe that I am an expert (although I probably am), but because I can't even eat it if it's not cooked properly. Thanks to those that sent photos, I could see that the beef appeared to be lean and thinly cut like I enjoy. Well, it was more than I could hope for. The owner guaranteed me I'd like it, and he was correct. Tender beef on a ever so slightly toasted bun. Delicious! I'll be back for more. They have a very nice deli case of side dishes etc. I picked up a seafood pasta salad, an antipasto salad, and an olive salad. I shared these with my neighbors at their house, and we all loved them. Summary: A nice clean location with absolutely delicious food and many options. A dedicated owner of a family business who takes real pride in his establishment. Have passed by this place a thousand times but finally stopped in to grab some to go food for lunch. Two different sandwiches. BLT Club was the bomb. The bacon that use is smoky and thick and makes the sandwich great. The serino panini was good but you have to like your roasted red peppers a little more in the vinegar side. I do not have a lot to add, and appears little has changed in eight years! (See pics.) However, there is a drive thru, too, open at 7am for breakfast sandwiches. I've been coming here for many years and the quality and portions have not changed. Staff is very knowledgeable, patient and I've never had an issue with any of my orders being incorrect. The parking lot can be a disaster especially during lunch time, ideally you should go through the drive-thru at that point. I walked through the door and straight into a dream. I needed a minute to take it all in. Once I got my bearings I B lined towards the deli counter off to the right. I wasn't in control of my legs. It was just pure, raw instinct driving the car. I ordered a large potato salad, a medium macaroni salad and small artichoke (salad? Idk it was for the gf). I made my way east (maybe) towards the cooler and grabbed 4 different meats and cheese. Finally, I headed clear across the room to the sandwiches. I ordered the Serino Special and let me tell you, it was the best sandwich I ever had. The honor was previously held by the 'Singing Italian' from JBs Deli. My gf ordered the Caprese sandwich and said it was the best she ever had as well. Usually she offers me a bite. Not this time. I popped open the gallon sized potato salad and went straight in with a fork. No shame. It was fantastic. I'll definitely be back. Also, I ate an edible about an hour before I showed up there. All good Deli's have a specific way their clientele order, so I wasn't sure. He walked me thru it. Outstanding... Place was super busy but took only about 5min for my sandwich. So I've always come for a sub or panini but decided to come in and have their breakfast sandwich I ordered a 6" Serino scrambler and added onion. I was nearby at lunchtime, and chose this place based on excellent Yelp reviews. I was going to stop in to check it out, and take my sandwich back to work. But, I got there at 12:10pm and the parking lot was packed, so I opted for the drive-through. I chose the 14" Serino Special Sandwich (prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tomato, dressing, and they added lettuce for free ), with the special crusty bread (soft inside) they suggested ($2 surcharge). This was a $17 sandwich, but was HUGE and could easily feed me for 2 meals. I ate 1/2 the sandwich for lunch, and the other 1/2 was still great at dinnertime. I think this might be the BEST sandwich I have ever had (particularly because of the bread), but it's at least in the top 5-10 sandwiches. I keep thinking about the "Homer's Sandwich" episode from the Simpson, because that's how I felt about this sandwich. I'm hoping work brings me to the Addison area more often, and I'm glad I now have a local go-to place in this area. read more

Ordering is a hassle. You order at the front items to be made. But then get sent to the side to pay and order pasta, stuff that is already made. And then you have to explain what you ordered on the other end. Which she had an attitude about it. The other ladies were nicer. Anyways italian sandwish was ok. The pasta salad was really good but whatever oil they used, leaves a terrible after taste & you can't get rid of it. Until after many many listerine washes. Anywho I don't think I'd return. Maybe to buy the cool Italian drinks but not the food. The parking lot is very cramped too and if you're not careful you get stuck at the drive through due to people who can't properly use the drive through and take up the whole exit spot. read more

This review is just for tonight's visit. My order was not filled in full. I ordered the sour cream and macaroni and cheese; I instead received a macaroni salad. I also ordered the Philly cheesesteak combo. I did not receive the side along with the sandwich. I'm basing this review on my husband's visit for lunch today. He brought home the other half of his Italian sub so I get to weigh in too! This deli is near his office and we were not disappointed! I rarely buy a sub bc if I have a taste for one, I buy fresh bread and make my own with Italian lunch meat from my local deli. This is honestly the best one I've ever had besides my own, hands down. Bread was excellent, they did not skimp on the meat and the sub was HUGE. When the owner realized my husband had never been there, he prepared it himself. It was so huge that he brought half home. Looks like I'm going to be the odd man out, but I did not find Serino's Deli to be worth the hype. I had heard from several people and the reviews that the proscuitto sandwhich was killer. My husband and I were passing by one day and figured it's the perfect time to stop. I had the infamous proscuitto panini and my husband had the meatball sandwhich and a soup. The proscuitto tasted cheap and had a strange flavor to it. My husband's meatball sandwhich was ok but nothing to write home about. I also tried his soup and it was tasteless- just like water. Definitely not worth the prices we paid.. I don't think I'd give this place another chance especially when we have Asti in wood dale and that kicks this place out of the park. read more
