Food and service both excellent a must try! The pizza is one of my favorite things on the menu, but all of the Italian dishes are excellent

Service was great! The place is newly renovated and it looks amazing! Now for the food! The Rockefeller was perfect! The Calamari is really tender and the Grilled Octopus tasted really good but i would've liked it cooked a kittle less. I did fall in love with their Tortellini and i wanna go back for it soon! I had a bite of the Ravioli too and it was great! Their rib eye was cooked perfectly and i asked for medium. The only thing is their Fettucini was missing something and the noodles was too al dente Their Tiramisu is a must try! Iam definitely going back to try more stuff on the menu! read more

Rigatoni alla Boscaiola was delicious. Sauce had a great consistency, everything was cooked properly, and all the flavors melded together perfectly. Bruschetta and minestrone were decent, nothing exceptional. Side salad was good. Service was prompt. Prices were on the expensive side ($15 appetizers, $25 pasta dishes, $30 entrees). Sad to see Casale's go, but glad the location is in good hands. I'd come back if I was in the area. read more

I really don't know what everyone is waiting for. You need to go to this awesome restaurant the food is to die for. I want to go back everyday. It is all redone and so nice inside. Went for mothers bday and very nice inside. The waitress was not trained right. We ordered and the meal comes with soup or salad and we had to tell her we wanted a salad " oh ok so you want a salad with that" no it comes with it "oh " . Mom's chicken marisella was really good but both shrimp dishes had very little shrimp in it and was way over cooked. Once we got check waitress stayed at the table for us to pay . Had a chance to finally visit Buon Johnny and it was worth the wait. I really liked the new layout and the overall atmosphere. It just feels like a great neighborhood place. The host was very accommodating. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner. I love the way they roast the bread before they bring it out to the table. Johnny topped it off with a nice espresso drink, and fried dough at the end. We will definitely come back for more read more

We had an excellent meal, the ambience is very cozy the Music was good. The staff very attentive. Can't wait to go back..

Rating: 2.5 stars We arrived at Juan BUON Johnny at 8:15 PM and it's now after 9:00 PM--still no entrées. We received two drinks and an appetizer, but the long wait for our main course has really taken away from the experience. Service has been polite, and the appetizer was fine, but nearly an hour without food is unacceptable unless you're at a slow-paced fine dining restaurant (which this is not). Hoping the food is worth the wait, but the pacing needs serious improvement. read more

Why is it that when two females walk into this establishment, the first question is "are you old enough for a drink menu? How old are you? Doesn't believe us. Then another guy walks over and asks how old are you?" First of all, ask for IDs if you have an issue. Don't be creepy. No one even wanted drinks. Genuinely wanted to try the food, being on vacation from NY. They lost business instead. More like a dive bar with slot machines and an awful nod to Italians. read more

This is some of the best Italian food, next to Italy, that I have ever had! Everything we got was great, all fresh homemade pasta! The porkchop was outstanding! Our waitress was so friendly and welcoming too!! Definitely would go back!! read more

My gf & I went here with my parents for dinner. The parking lot is very small and the restaurant itself is pretty small as well. However, everyone enjoyed their food, the young staff tried hard, and the owner genuinely cared about our experience. I would absolutely go back (and plan to because there were many tempting items on the menu). read more

Nobody seems to be trained properly as it was apparent very few employees knew anything on the menu, or aware of when they're out of something. everytime I turned around, my server had left the table to put in our orders and we would constantly be bothered by the man I assume is the floor manager or host of some sort on a power trip. He needs to be put in the back for constantly bothering my party and other guests relentlessly and treating the employees badly. He is the reason also why our orders kept getting screwed up. It seems he took it upon himself to take orders from many of the tables and not communicate server and bringing out dishes that were not an appetizer but dinner entrees and half of us ended up not being able to eat with the rest of the table as we all got our food at different times. I have never seen such sloppy and amateur service (not our server, she tried her best), from the gentleman in management. It was the worst experience I have ever had and will never be coming back. Johnny was warm and pleasant but I hope he's in the process of teaching this man how restaurant etiquette works. read more

Ambience was great, but went downhill from there. If it was just the fact that the server was in training, we could have overlooked that. Server had not one ounce of disposition for this line of work. No smile, no welcoming attitude. He should have been shadowing the other server and not been left to his own devices. We had to ask for bread. Butter came out about 10 minutes later. Not once refilled water or soda. We ordered extra thin pizza and salmon with pasta. Never asked if wanted soup or salad which came with dinner. We asked the other server when we noticed other tables being served. She asked him to bring a soup. She checked back with us when she saw he never brought it out. Instead he shows up with two salads (if you could call that a salad -- lettuce, shaved carrot and two cucumber slices). He leaves one salad and brings soup. While still eating the soup and salad he brings out salmon to get cold. Was expecting a piece of salmon with a side of pasta. Received chunks of salmon in pasta like tuna casserole. 95% pasta/5% salmon. Absolutely no taste to the dish. The pizza was not extra thin, instead the crust was undercooked and gummy. Most would say, why not talk to a manager. Well, interesting enough there were only four other tables at the time we were there. The manager/owner walked to each of those other tables to check in and talk to those customers and never once came over to our table. A fifth table of ladies walked in to be seated and he actually started to help them. We ended up eating 1/4 of the pasta and a few pieces of the pizza (actually just the toppings). Had to ask for the check. He waited around for us to give the payment. Brought back just one receipt and credit card. No portfolio, no pen and no second receipt to sign and leave a tip. We left. And, then, the manager/owner asked us as we hit the door if we wanted our leftovers. No sir, the leftovers were better meant for the garbage, along with our $45 down the drain. read more

Oh my God the Tortellini Pasticciati was outstanding, and so was the Chicken Limone, the Old Fashioned was delicious as well.

Recently had dinner at Boun Johnny's. My friend loved the eggplant parmesean. I had the linguini with clams. The dish was basically tasteless and the linguini was quite rounded and thick. The gentleman who waited on us definitely needs some training in customer service. Repeatedly asking for water, our only beverage and miscalculation on the check were met with attitude. read more
