Absolutely loved this dish! The shrimp were large, juicy, and perfectly cooked -- not rubbery at all. The pasta had a great texture and was lightly coated in a garlic-tomato sauce that didn't overpower the seafood. Everything was seasoned just right, and the fresh parsley on top added a nice touch. I was sitting outside on a sunny afternoon, and the ambiance of this little street café made the whole experience feel so relaxed and European. Service was polite and efficient, and they brought out the food pretty quickly. I had a bottle of sparkling water with it and that paired really well. Would definitely come back to this spot just for this dish again.

This pizza had everything I lovev crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and a good amount of toppings. The cheese pull was satisfying, and the flavors all worked together well. Service was great, and the food came out hot and fresh. I'll definitely be back.

Half empty family style bowl of Paulie's 8 Finger Cavatelle with vodka sauce

Last night we met with good friends for fun and great food at this little hidden gem in Bloomingdale. The owner Dawn knows her kitchen, recipes and how to take care of her customers. It is family owned and run. Her daughter Daniella and granddaughter helped our server Marina bring us a feast!! We also ate in her new dining area that was so nice. Here's what we had and we LOVED it all! Bruschetta, stuffed artichoke, fried ravioli, lg sausage pizza, antipasta salad, eggplant Parmesan, fried shrimp, 8 finger cavatelle in Vodka sauce ( omg devine),sausage and meatballs , cookies and cream gelato and strawberry gelato. 6 of us shared everything and we all took home some fir tomorrow. We just had to try it all. You won't be disappointed with this menu or service. Great job everyone. Can't wait to be back.

Large Thin Crust Pepperoni Pizza
Jaimee L.

We ordered the large thin crust pepperoni pizza. The dough was a little thicker than most thin crust pizzas that I'm used to but I really enjoyed it. The crust had a good chew to it and the bottom was nicely charred. The cheese and sauce were flavorful and tasted like quality ingredients you'd want on your pizza. The lady working at the counter was super friendly.

Delicious food and so friendly atmosphere , everyone there was so warm and friendly the whole wall is filled with AlCapone and his associate"s pictures. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone for sure

Stuffed cheese crust pizza
Bailey M.

I had a thin crust cheese and sausage pizza here before and it was pretty good. The next time I came in, we got a stuffed cheese crust pizza. It fell flat for me. The bottom of the pizza was quite black but yet the top of the pizza was soupy. The cheese was falling off the entire pizza. The stuffed cheese crust wasn't very flavorful, I appreciate the attempt but it just wasn't worth the extra calories. You could barely taste the cheese in the crust, it mostly just tasted like over done crust. I would maybe try Capone's again because I live near by, but I will only get a thin crust basic pizza.

After being recommend to try this place by FB - Bloomingdale neighbors, new in town and never having been to this place thought heck why not. I'm sick as hell and was craving pizza so...... I placed an order online and it said 30min wait, we live 8min away so my husband went to go pick it up once that time cam. After him being gone for almost an hour I got a little worried and asked him what's going on, he tells me they're backed up and our order is delayed. He also tells me that everyone else got their food except for him. I thought weird.... So I called and was told 5 more min, my husband was told 20 more min, confusing and in consistent timing. I thought ok little hectic, but it happens no biggie especially if it's worth the wait per other reviews.. so, he finally got the order, and came home. I opened up the pizza carton and it looked like a regular pizza. We got a 16" large pan pizza, not exactly what I was hoping it would look like. I was definitely thinking it would be thicker and higher and more of a fluffy dough type of pizza. The flavor just wasn't there as it tasted like flavorless dough, with ingredients on top, the sauce saved it, but the dough was plain and I really didn't enjoy the pizza all that much. I can tell it was freshly done, but lacking flavor. The chicken tenders you can tell were frozen, and we're over done. Given this experience and the wait times to get our order, I don't think I'll be dining back here again.

I had a positive experience with this pizza. It tasted fresh, and the crust was just right. I only wish there was a bit more filling on top.

I got the "Veal-Villaggio Topped with spinach and portobello mushrooms, in a garlic white wine fresh tomato sauce, baked with mozzarella cheese, served with garlic mashed potatoes." They even have an old fashioned coat check room although I don't know whether it is still in use. I appreciated the little piece of nostalgia. The only food item we didn't particularly care for were the fried zucchini sticks. We didn't care for the coating. Four hours after leaving we are still talking about how great the food was. In typical Italian restaurant style, we had enough leftovers for 3 more meals. Their warm garlic rolls are the best. Each table has a small bottle of olive oil and a small dish of grated Parmesan . Make yourself a small dish of dipping oil. Service was very good but rhen again there was only 2 other people eating. We are considering returning for Father's Day in a few weeks.

I commented on the gambling machines that were inside the restaurant and he made a snarky comment about where was I from that this is unusual. I let him know I was from out of state. I then asked for recommendations. He said the breaded steak sandwich is popular. I was feeling more like Italian beef, which is what I ordered. Even though I ordered the sandwich, wet, the beef came out dry, and had three pieces of green pepper on it. I don't know if I have ever had just green pepper on an Italian beef sandwich before. There was nothing extraordinary about the sandwich. Shaved beef on a bun. That's it. As basic as it gets. It was lacking any type of flavor, so I tried to dress it up with salt and pepper, which only helped marginally. I sat down at a table, not more than 15 feet away from where the owner was leaning against the counter. Not once did he check in with me to see if I enjoyed the food. I was still the only customer. I think, even if I really enjoyed the food, which I did not, I would not return to this restaurant based on the attitude of the owner alone. He does not know how to run a business, much less make Italian food.

And there's some outdoor seating, when the weather is good. Definitely a local spot that you can just chill and relax at. I've now been here several times and so far everything has been perfect. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating, cordial, and engaging. They seem to go out of their way to accommodate you. And it doesn't feel forced like they have to do it, but just out of good common courtesy. Their thin, cracker crust pizza is something we get every time. Even if it's for just an appetizer, we will get a small and split it up for the table. Really outstanding flavor, great sauce, the "undercarriage" always crispy, and great flavorful cheese. We have gone up and down the menu from appetizers to the main dishes and I've been happy every single dish. As an appetizer, I highly recommend the calamari. With a light batter it's serve with marinara sauce and lemon. We've never seen them overdone or rubbery, which all to common. Ask for a little bottle of Tabasco if you want to add a little heat or kick. The main dishes. Spectacular chicken Vesuvio, chicken Parmesan, chicken Marsala, etc... All Solid! The Italian beef and beef/combo w/ sausage are delicious and quite frankly monstrous. Wow, do you get a lot for your portion here. I would definitely recommend one for that beefy hitter. For me, it's a the beef combo, dipped, with Giardinara, and a side of Au jus. And maybe broil a little provolone on top, if I'm feeling fancy. And honestly, the cakes and desserts are astonishing. The chocolate cake is so delicious and decadent and rich. OMG, I could just go in for a nice coffee and a chocolate cake and I'd be happy. In all, five stars for this place. I will be back on the regular. (honestly, I need to take more pictures. But the food is so good. I start eating it before I can remember to snap a shot)
