checked this place out the other day and it was outstanding! portions were great and the breakfast was delicious! Mallory was our server and she nothing short of spectacular. Some of the best service I've had at any restaurant no matter what meal! will certainly be a regular here! read more

Service was not good, they were understaffed although the food came quickly once we were able to get our servers attention to place our orders. I asked for an egg white omelet and when it arrived it clearly had the yolks. So, when I asked her if it was egg whites only, her reply was, it should be. Well, I don't want to be sick all day, so can you please check, and she found out that it was not whites only and had it remade. My husband really enjoyed his food, and the coffee was good too, but it took a long time to get a coffee refill. The space is cute, but over all....I would not hurry back. read more

Wonderful breakfast place that offers lunch in the mornings also. Service was terrific and both breakfast and lunch dishes were delicious. Generous portions and family/baby friendly. Nice parking in the back also. Highly recommend! read more

Got there early on a Sat. Looked over the menu and decided on an audible - choc chip malted pancakes with peanut butter and banana, side of ham. Food was good and went down easy. Local regulars prove it has stayin' power. Since it's a smallish local joint, it was pretty loud. Will dine again. read more

Egg House is a delightful little breakfast spot that is cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. You can't beat the location in downtown Lombard, nor the staff who were so friendly! Always on the look out for a new breakfast spot we gave this one a try and were delighted with our experience. We arrived early so there was not a crowd and the staff was happy to see us. Grabbing a booth by the front door we surveyed the menu, which is ample, and made some selections. Before we knew it we were stuffing our faces with food! I went with the Eggs Benedict, naturally (it's my go-to for new places), and enjoyed what I ate. I will say, the hollandaise was just a bit runny but everything tasted fine. While we ate our waitress checked in on us several times and everything went swimmingly. There really isn't much more to say other than that I recommend swinging by and having a bite here. It's a solid little spot and I'm sure you'll enjoy yourselves as much as we did. read more

Very good place for breakfast. Larger on the inside than I thought it would be. Has its own parking lot in back of restaurant which is very convenient. Wide variety of attractive plated options with variations of each - large omelettes, thick French Toast, Swedish Pancakes, Pancakes. Our server, Sydney, was delightful and very attentive. Liked the little extras - salt and pepper mills as opposed to shakers, flavored creams, square plates & cups versus round. Recommend trying it out. read more

Delicious local place in downtown Lombard! Went in on New Year's Day and didn't have a wait! Our waitress was so friendly and offered us a freshly squeeze orange juice mimosa. I didn't even get a photo of the full mimosa because it was SO delicious that i took a sip before the photo. You can see where they freshly squeeze the orange juice. For breakfast I got the avocado Benedict and it was so perfectly cooked and fresh. My husband got the country skillet with biscuits and those were so flaky and buttery in a delicious gravy. HIGHLY recommend! read more

Out of all the breakfast restaurants in Lombard, Egg House is the best. The food is top quality and absolutely worth the price. The wait is usually about average but depending on how busy it is, sometimes your meal will come very quickly. The waiters always like to be friendly to you and are super nice about everything. The vibe is nice and comfortable, there are plenty of decorations to admire while waiting or eating your food. Overall, I always go to this place for breakfast and I give it a 5 Star rating read more

The food here is incredible, seriously best chilaquiles I have ever had. Waffles, biscuits, and skillets are delightful as well. The real draw to keep me coming out is Christine. She is always moving around but is such a fun and entertaining server and it makes the food taste so much better! read more

Little neighborhood corner restaurant that has an updated diner feel but cozy. It was a snowy cold winter day when we visited and we were greeted warmly upon arrival. They have booths as well as tables and we got to pick our spot next to a window. The waitress was very attentive and kept coming back with water, hot coffee and to take empty plates. The menu is extensive and even though they don't have a ton of vegan options you can make some things work with tweaking. My husband loved the avocado eggs Benedict and said it had the right amount of Hollandaise to make it perfect. I had a skillet minute the eggs and cheese, so basically grilled veggies over hash browns. The waitress brought me some house made salsa which sliced it up a bit and made it perfect. The atmosphere is very quiet and respectful as well as local. A few come Stoner's were greeted by name and it definitely had the few of a place you would treat like hone. The portions are big and filling, and the coffee is good (very diner like in flavor but robust). It is a cute and delicious spot so we would recommend it if you are going for something to stick to your bones on a winter day. read more

These stars go to the pancakes I ate here! Really delicious buttermilk flavor in the pancake . Very fluffy and moist. The topping consisted of apples cinnamon , pecans with a caramel drizzle . The establishment is clean and well kept . I came during the colder months and it seemed to me the heat was off which is my only advice --Turn up the heat so we can feel cozier as we eat your yummy food. read more

I've eaten breakfast here four times this month on two separate trips to visit Chicago from out of state. We enjoyed some Chicago staples, of course, but I have to say that Egg House was my favorite food from both trips! The food quality, variety, and portion sizes were unmatched. That alone is worth a visit but the customer service is also top notch. We felt so cared for and never had to flag anyone down for a refill or our check. If you're in the area, I highly recommend enjoying a delicious meal at Egg House! The churro French toast is a MUST TRY! read more

Egg house is a delightful restaurant. The server was very thoughtful and greeted me with a warm welcome. The food was great. Very neat decor and nice tables. Some of the plates were slightly chipped though. The food was also very filling. This is a great place to go for breakfast. But the bathroom only had a toilet and it was very cramped. read more

I brought my son to Egg House for a mom-son date before an appointment that he had. We love breakfast skillets, and ordered the Trucker's Skillet with a side of bacon and orange juice. We really loved watching the orange juice being squeezed with the fresh press that they have! The decor itself was lovely, and it was a homey vibe. The skillet itself was very tasty, though the portion size wasn't necessarily generous. It was a bit on the pricer side in terms of skillets. Overall, it was A-OK. I'd go back more frequently if my budget were to accommodate, but it was a nice treat in a cute atmosphere: perfect for a little breakfast date. read more

I had the Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter With Banana, and it was delightful. Both the taste and presentation was fantastic. Definitely would recommend if you like peanut butter/Reese's. The rest of the menu sounded delicious as well. Many different options of all different kinds of breakfast foods. The portions were very large and generous. If you are dieting, I would suggest splitting a meal with someone or expect to bring some home for leftovers. The service very quick, and the staff was kind. The restaurant is very clean and has a new and modern feel. All around great breakfast experience. Definitely will be back in the future. read more

I was here couple days ago just visiting the area the polish ladies in the establishment and employees all were very nice and sweet i just need to post about my breakfast experience here was anything but pleasant up until the moment i took a bite of black mold and i swallowed the bite too it was inside my omelette i happened to have finished at home super discusting. Definitely keep quality control of old foods that is key to running a good buisness also the salsa was no taste no spice bland like a seniors food ... read more

This place was amazing. The prices were reasonable, and so much food for the price. Try their signature pancakes. We went here twice and we're happy both times. There can be a bit of a wait on the weekend. read more

Stopped in for breakfast and sat at the counter, as I was eating alone. Counter was dirty and hadn't been wiped down. I waited 5 minutes for anyone to ask for my drink order and another 5 to get my coffee and water. Ordered the corned beef meal and a sid order of biscuits and gravy. Everything was just alright, but nothing to write home about. Overpriced for the portion size and what you got. The server never refilled my coffee, and I had to ask for my bill. Was hoping this would be my new breakfast spot, as it it walking distance to my house, but I won't be returning. read more

This place is tucked into a corner, easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for. It is street parking only, but we went on a Saturday morning and had no problem finding parking. The service was kind and quick, the cafe was super cozy and comfortable... kind of like a modernized breakfast diner feel. The coffee was good, and the orange juice was fresh! Giving four stars because my husband's poached eggs were over cooked and not runny, the potatoes were under seasoned, and the gravy was kind of bland. It wasn't bad food, just under seasoned. We are definitely willing to try again because of the good experience, though. read more

Tried Egg House for the first time recently. The food was great, hot and fresh and tasty. Our server was very kind. We were squeezed into a two seater right by the door--it was freezing. The hostess also said someone would come by to clean up the floor under our table on my left side but it was never cleaned. Otherwise, nice visit. read more

Went here for the first time to celebrate my sister's birthday. The food was fresh & delicious. The service was top tier. Will be back.

Great service and homey atmosphere, not to mention great food options that are different from regular brunch spots.

Average breakfast food. Not very flavorful but many restaurants around are the same (in Lombard). It was a one and done for me. It's always busy so I thought the food would be good but it was just average. If I were to go again I would try pancakes or waffles. I had a typical eggs & meat breaky and I needed lots of cholula to make it palatable read more

First time here & we've found our new breakfast spot! I had a really hard time deciding between the bacon/chocolate chip pancakes; avocado/bacon omelette; apple French toast & avocado Benedict, so I let our server Teri choose. She offered to add chocolate chips to my cakes to incorporate the savory, salty & sweet in one meal. Everything was fresh & delicious. Teri & staff were very tentative to our needs. As a former server training coach from a big restaurant chain, it's nice to see this place takes their guest service just as serious. Oh, the decor is really cute & there's a small breakfast bar too! We look forward to our next visit! read more

Are you hungry for breakfast and in Lombard? If so, than this is your spot! Even if you are not from Lombard, for example I would drive from Elmhurst to dine here. Had the Western Skillet, wow! Perfect balance of ingredients and flavors. Had enough leftovers for two additional meals. Side of pancakes amazing! OJ was fresh squeezed as well. Was an outstanding experience all around. (To the owners and staff...please don't change a thing, the mojo is working just fine!) read more
