Not being a salmon fan, I substituted bacon on a toasted bagel with the works! Yum!

I LOVE this neighborhood breakfast joint! I've been a customer since they opened, ordering delivery and eating in person. My personal go-to breakfast is the "Hungry Man's(Woman's?!!)" in which you can choose your eggs, bread, sides. Their biscuits and gravy are B+, which is high praise for a spot north of the Mason- Dixon line. Crispy bacon, fresh-squeezed OJ, strong coffee, yummy pancakes... perfection! But what makes this spot 5 stars is the service. Everyone is kind and helpful, and the servers are super efficient- no coffee cup goes unfilled, all special requests honored. Special shout-out to Christjne, who truly delivers, tine and time again!

We ate here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. They sat us in their other restaurant next door but could order on their menu. We sat outside. It was a nice private patio. The salad I had was very good and fresh. I highly recommend. My friends enjoyed their meals. My iced tea was fresh. The service was decent but felt for her as she had to go back and forth to both restaurants.

Fast service, great food & pleasant staff.. the well lit restaurant sits on the corner of Main and St. Charles Streets.. down town Lombard.... I love the atmosphere of this place.. if you have a taste of breakfast or lunch and you are near the area, you won't be disappointed!!!

What went well??? EVERYTHING. We were greeted with a cheery GOOD MORNING. Felt like an at home breakfast but with much more volume. You have to have the fresh squeezed orange juice. There's a juicer machine on the counter that is mesmerizing. I had gluten free strawberry and banana pancakes that were truly amazing. I could only eat one since it was the size of Rhode Island. The coffee was so smooth. Best straight black as it didn't need any assistance to make it palatable. I would take a different route just to eat here again. And our server Christine was top notch. Thank you Egg House for a very pleasant breakfast experience.

I've always driven past this place but never had the time to stop in until a Sunday afternoon around 1:00. It wasn't too busy, and we were helped right away with our drink orders. For food, we got the California Club with a side of fries and the spinach, tomato, and Swiss omelette. I didn't realize how big the omelette would be -- it came with hashbrowns and two pancakes, so it was a full meal. Obviously, I couldn't finish it all! Everything was very good. I had asked for extra crispy hashbrowns, and while some came out a bit burnt, that was on me. I didn't end up trying the pancakes, but I will next time. The club was also tasty, though a little tricky to eat since everything was stacked and kept falling out.

I am in my mid-50's and have ordered breakfast at hundreds of restaurants in the U.S. I am not lying when I tell you that the churros french toast I ate this morning at Egg House restaurant in Lombard was the most delicious breakfast item I've ever eaten. I would not change one thing. Rich? yes. Decadent? for sure. It's not something you'd eat every morning but if you want something special, this is it.

I came here for breakfast with some friends and had really high expectations for this Hometown breakfast spot. However, $14 for four mini pancakes with some fruit I didn't think they were that good. Also my eggs Benedict was just alright. The pancakes were probably the best part of the meal. The ambience is cozy and cute. Our server was prompt and friendly until she was rushing us out the door and commenting that other people are waiting. I get that but at the same time we were already standing up, we didn't need you to tell us "You know some people don't know there's a waiting line at the other door"

Excellent little breakfast place! I have driven by here many times and my family and I finally made it here for a meal. It was nicer inside them I thought it would be. We were greeted and seated quickly by who ended up being our server. The staff was very attentive. Our server heard us mention it was my wife's birthday and she surprised us with some tiramisu pancakes. They were a hit. I really enjoyed my chorizo skillet. The portions are hearty and everything was excellent, to include the coffee.

My partner and I visited Chicago for the holidays and we stopped by this spot last second before we left. I ambiance was cute, they had it nicely decorated for Christmas (I forgot to take a pic) the food was good, my only complaint is I asked for sunny side up on my skillet and received 3 poached/hard boiled almost and 1 soft boiled egg. My partner got sunny side up tho which is cool I guess :') the waitress was nice and she brought us everything we needed and was very helpful and friendly. Prices were pretty steep considering the area- it's the suburbs cmon.

The homemade salsa was also just alright; some pico de gallo and a little sriracha would've added the extra flavor it needed. We also had the Senior Special VIP, and everything on that plate tasted very good. The HB chicken club wrap was another standout--really flavorful and well put together. It came with a side of fruit that didn't look the best, but the wrap itself made up for it. For drinks, we had water, tomato juice, and an iced vanilla latte. The latte had way too much vanilla and was overly sweet for my taste. Service was great--our waiter was attentive, the restaurant was clean, and the food came out quickly. I'd come back to try their French toast next time.

I'm so glad my elderly mother insisted on coming today, because I found a new favorite! I ordered the 1/2 Turkey BLT and a cup of the Cream of Chicken soup. While the soup was very good, the sandwich was absolutely incredible! I seriously haven't had a sandwich taste this good in a long time--a truly smart choice. I was curious, so I asked the waitress about it. She confirmed there was no special sauce, just mayo. She said the magic might be in their "brown berry multi-grain" bread. Whatever the secret is, I am thrilled with the taste and highly recommend trying this sandwich. And the ambience is a plus. The service, as always, was wonderful. The kindness and attentiveness of our waitress made the experience warm and welcoming, and it's the main reason I'll be rushing back soon.

You could drive right by thinking it was a vacant building except for all the cars in the lot. The notion of vacant building is dispelled immediately upon entry. The place is busy, loud, vibrant with customers clearly enjoying the food and experience. The interior is decorated simply, with muted colors, is well lit, and clean. There are a lot of hard surfaces which makes the ambient noise level fairly high; however, it did not detract from the experience (but just be advised in case you feel this is bothersome). We were greeted warmly and though the place was packed, we were seated quickly. Despite the diner-like vibe, there is no counter, just tables and booths. Our server was prompt, very pleasant, and efficient. The coffee was hot and flavorful. The food: Large portions, well prepared, warm, savory, satisfying. The loaded Cheers omelette, with hash browns and pancakes, was more food than I could enjoy in one sitting so I have leftovers for tomorrow. Prices are in line with more reasonably priced independent eateries. A two-egg, hash browns, pancake combo is $14. This place will be an option in the future.

For drinks, we started with the Tangerine Dream, which reminded me of an orange creamsicle, and the Morning Meditation, which definitely had more earthy flavors. Both drinks were really pretty in color and nicely presented. For food, we ordered the Million Dollar Bacon--it's a very specific flavor, but not bad at all. The brown sugar sweetness with a bit of spice worked well together. The Elevated Egg Sandwich was really good; the buns were soft, the avocado was well-seasoned, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were seasoned nicely, and the onions added extra flavor. The Smoked Salmon Frittata was okay--not my favorite. The potatoes were great, but the salmon didn't really pair well with the eggs in my opinion. We also got the chocolate chip pancakes to go, and those were delicious later on--super big and very satisfying. Our waiter was attentive throughout the meal, which made the experience even better. Overall, a solid spot with great drinks and some standout dishes.
