My cousin took us here for breakfast! Love this place, welcoming staff, comfortable and quick seating, friendly and attentive staff and most of all, good food & coffee. Will definitely recommend this place:) There is also adequate parking for a large group!

We were leaving Menards when we decided to grab breakfast, a little hesitant about trying a "new place." Just across the street, we found Briana's Pancake House, a brand-new restaurant in Glendale Heights. Since it's so new, the space is spotless with a fresh, neutral décor. We ordered the Goldilocks Sampler--a ham and cheese omelet with two slices of bacon and two sausage links. For the side, you can pick from pancakes, potato pancakes, French toast, crepes, biscuits and gravy, or toast. I went with the biscuits and gravy. We also tried the Create-a-Skillet, which came with a side of pancakes. The sampler was solid: the biscuits and gravy weren't homemade, but still tasty; the ham and cheese omelet had a perfect balance of ham to cheese, with the ham cut small enough so you didn't need a knife for every bite. The skillet was also well done, with a nice ratio of vegetables to potatoes and eggs cooked perfectly. But the real star? The pancakes. We shared them, and they were outstanding--light, flavorful, and with a depth that truly stood out. Honestly, these pancakes beat IHOP and Denny's, no exaggeration. The only downside was the booths--the cushions are too soft, and you sink right in, which isn't very comfortable. Server was quite until we gave him a cash tip then he smiled big and said thank you! Overall, I'd give Briana's an 8 out of 10. Definitely worth a visit, especially for the pancakes!

Visited twice now. Food and service was great both times. It's better than other local breakfast/brunch restaurants.

Their omelettes are seasoned to perfection and stuffed with quality ingredients. Their grits are perfectly seasoned, creamy and easy on the palette with a hint of cheese in it. The pancakes are perfectly buttery, fluffy, golden brown and complete with their syrup. Even their fries are seasoned and cooked to perfection. All in all, they serve food that is delicious, hearty and will keep you going throughout the rest of the day. We ordered the chicken tenders and fries, the French toast combo, and the sausage and cheese omelette. We ate well and had food left over to bring home. The service was exceptional as well and you are treated well and made feel welcome. I recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a diner to have breakfast or lunch. We have it the highest marks; earning a 5 out of 5 star rating. Go Granny!

Service was fairly quick and friendly. Parking is plentiful nearby, though it's a bit of a challenge to park next to the building both because of limited spots and narrow alleys. The menu is quite expansive, with options that are a bit different than what you typically expect, and the prices are fair. For someone who goes to a minimum of one or more brunches per week, the drink and food menus here drew me to the restaurant. After a while, a lot of menus look very similar with the same generic offerings of the standard pancake, waffle, omelet, and waffle options. This spot has a lot of fun options such as avocado steak toast, barbacoa skillet, churro hawaiian bread french toast, biscuit bombs and more. Even on more common options, they generally carry a wide range of flavor profiles from fruits to chocolate to nuts and more. Similarly, drinks include mimosas, champagne, cocktails, wine, spritzers, beer, juices, milks, coffees, teas, and more -- with tons of customization options. I'm a huge fan of this since it allows me to come back here with friends and not get bored of trying different things. The prices are also very fair for the higher quality products they serve. The food overall was impressive as well. I found the hash skillet to be flavorful with corn beef that wasn't too salty and quite tender. The best part was probably the potatoes that were seasoned to perfection and absorbed the flavors of the onion and pepper well, with a slightly crispy edge. The normal pancakes were super fluffy and quite thick. The pumpkin pancakes were a great combination with a delicious cream cheese frosting and a mix of dried cranberries, walnuts, and pumpkin pie sauce that was flavorful and addictive. This didn't need any additional syrup. The pumpkin roll french toast was equally as impressive where the toast was just a little crispy and the cream cheese frosting was a bit gooey. This was quite a fun mix of textures also with delicious sugared pecans and pumpkin pie drizzle. Overall, delicious food and great options make this a spot I'm sure to return to anytime I'm in the area.

I also cannot say enough about their morning beverage libations. Wo does not love a Bellini with breakfast?

The atmosphere hits that perfect sweet spot, warm, welcoming, and buzzing with just enough energy to make you feel like you found the place. Cozy without trying too hard, friendly without being fake, and full of that comforting breakfast chaos that somehow makes coffee taste better. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and somewhere between the first bite and the shamefully aggressive scraping of the plate, I experienced personal growth. These weren't sad, cafeteria biscuits fighting for survival under mystery gravy. No. These biscuits showed up with confidence. Fluffy, buttery little clouds carrying gravy so rich and comforting it could probably talk me through my taxes and unresolved childhood issues. By bite three, I was mentally canceling my responsibilities and considering forwarding my mail to Glenn Oak. The dangerous part? I looked around and realized everyone else seemed equally possessed by whatever culinary wizardry is happening in that kitchen. Suddenly ordering one thing felt irresponsible. If the biscuits and gravy hit this hard, what else are they hiding back there? Glenn Oak is the kind of place that makes you want to tell everyone you know... and absolutely nobody at the same time because waiting longer for a table sounds emotionally devastating. 10/10. Bring stretchy pants, poor decision making, and don't make plans immediately after because you may emotionally commit to staying all day!
