I think everyone who's ever been to any Melt N Dip location will tell you that they would happily engage in food tourism to visit every Melt N Dip location there is out there. Each and every location features plentiful parking, a social media worthy interior, comfortable elegant seating, and quality desserts that consistently delight everyone who has the opportunity to try them. On my visit here, I tried a different set of items from my Schaumburg visit to test the consistency of quality across different flavor profiles and dessert types, and it delivered perfectly. The mango gelato here is incredible -- with probably the strongest mango flavor I've ever had in a gelato. The Lotus was an elevated version of one of my favorite biscuits. The gelato is incredible, creamy and flavorful -- and something I'd happily serve with most any dessert. The waffle was flavorful as usual which paired perfectly with the chocolate mix. I also wanted to try My Passion to get a mix of different fruits -- as I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the fruit was at the other location. This was equally as great, with fruit presented at the perfect ripeness. Extra kudos to the kiwi which wasn't sour at all, and in fact was one of the first items to be finished completely. The pineapple was also super juicy, sweet, and flavorful. I wish we'd gotten more eclairs, as the filling was super delicious. Maybe the weakest item in this dish was the brownie, which was only good -- while everything else we'd tried was great to amazing. Overall, worth a special trip for any dessert lover. The inside is very cute and they have ample seating inside and outside. They have ice cream, crepes, and so many chocolate goodies. It's like walking into chocolate heaven. My daughter got the Dubai cup and I went with the strawberry banana crepes. We took it to go. Omg! My crepes were absolutely amazing. Perfect balance of chocolate, banana, strawberry.... YUM!! The portion was huge! I had enough for the next day. The girl at the counter was nice and she recommended my crepe. They don't open until late in the day and I guess it's because they stay open late. This is the late night place to be it seems. Parking lot and store were packed on a Friday night at 10. Couples, friends, families with children -everyone was here. There were 12 or so different types of crepes. Then a huge selection of Gelato and also waffles or milkshakes. Huge menu of desserts and coffees. We also got the my passion for two, we didn't realize the chocolate would all be mixed, we would have liked 1 milk and 1 white, but that's a lesson for next time. Such a great place for dessert! My best friend and I had gone to a different location before and we are thrilled that there's now one in Aurora! It's across from Fox Valley Mall in the Pacifica Square corner (in the building that was formerly Shrimpy's, Umai Aji-ya, and long ago, Long John Silver's). Getting into the parking lot is a little challenging because not all the turn ins from the road connect, so if you miss it or enter the wrong one you can have a little adventure of trying to get into the lot via a circuitous route. This place is dessert heaven. Crepes, waffles, fondue, mini cream puffs (called eclairs on the menu), fruit dipped in chocolate (called Dip sticks), gelato, juices, shakes, hot chocolate...so many choices. We got the triple chocolate crepe which was delicious, and plenty for two. They don't open til later in the afternoon (3 pm) but are open til midnight daily, so if you're looking for a late night treat, here's an option. There's a karaoke bar nearby and a movie theater across 59, so perhaps it will draw those customers later in the evening. Overall, this will become a staple for sweets in Aurora! read more
