Which is a good thing but these drinks are terrible for the body, but the staff was great, drinks were amazing, and maybe took a little while for the workers to bring them out but hey at least the drink was great. This its a great little spot for breakfast/brunch or as a take out coffee shop. We were able to get a table after Church on Sunday. (That's already a big deal.) Based on the name of the restaurant, I felt compelled to order something sweet, although they had omelets ands skillets too. I had the house special pancakes, which Jane not only strawberries and bananas, but also peaches and Nutella. (Depicted here.) They were delicious. Service is a huge thing for me when going to restaurants, and this place did a phenomenal job. My partner ordered the breakfast burrito and it came out very buttery/greasy at the bottom. The manager or a waiter overheard him mention this to me and immediately made him a new one without us asking. We thought that was amazing customer service and very thoughtful. I got my egg and chorizo torta, which was yummy and the bread was perfectly toasted. My mango smoothie was super refreshing. My boyfriend got the Cookie Monster milkshake which was a 10/10, I recommend trying any of their milkshakes. The inside was cute, they have a small corner for pictures with a photo booth. I saw this place on Tik-Tok and wanted to come and dine. I was out in Naperville and came to this particular location. This cafe is so pretty inside, I love the colors and decor. Small outside patio. On the day that I came there was only one hostess waiting on tables, taking orders and seating patrons. I was patient and waited until I was seated. It took another 15 minutes for me to place my order. I heard great things about the food and drinks. I drove too far to leave and plus I was hungry. Finally, my hostess arrived and I was able to place my order. I ordered the veggie skillet and a hot vanilla cappuccino to get me started on an empty stomach. Again I waited on what seemed like forever for my food to arrive. After another 20 minutes my food arrived but the cappuccio didn't come to my table until after I was finished eating my food. The food wasn't worth the wait but the hostess was so sweet and tried hard to occupy each table by herself. I will come back and hopefully they will have more than one server. Such a fun experience! The highlight for me was the chocolate explosion milkshake -- it was incredible and definitely lived up to the name. Decor is great. One corner of the wall has wooden crates filled with different style coffee pots and another corner with a bunch of picture frames. Waitress was nice and took our order. I had a vanilla bean cappuccino with almond milk. It wasn't too sweet, which was perfect for me. The flower drawn was really cute. My friend had the coffee flight. Definitely a lot for one person to try. Had the chicken avocado panini, but there was no tomato or lettuce as stated in the menu. At least the chicken wasn't dry and the avocado was fresh. But it wasn't really outstanding or special. Should probably had tried their crepes instead. The Fries were good though. You actually go up to the cashier to pay your bill. You can let the cashier know how you would like to split the bill. Just be sure to Remember the table number you were sitting at. Thankfully someone had written a review about it for me to know. Also there is one bathroom and I couldn't wash my hands bc the lever to turn the water on was broken. Hopefully they had fixed it. There also isn't a hook or a spot for your purse. The crepes are so good here! Probably some of the best crepes I've had because they really stuff them with fruit and toppings. I had a chocolate crepe with strawberries, bananas, and Nutella. I would definitely order again! I also had a side of eggs with cheese which were pretty good. Overall, prices were very fair for the food. I had a caramel Frappuccino - it's just as fun as their shakes and it was only $7. It was really large too. The portion size was almost too big if you are also looking to eat breakfast. Had a great brunch at Sugar Milk Cafe this past weekend. I got the chicken skillet with a side of pancakes, and my sister got a chicken quesadilla with a side of fruit. The quesadilla was SO good and flavorful; however, I think the chicken skillet could've used a bit more spice, but it was perfect with some cholula on top. Also, the shake flight was the perfect sweet treat addition to our meal, and the presentation was so cute. I also got an horchata-flavored iced latte to-go, and it was perfect for my taste with less sweetness overall. Our server was super helpful, and while it was a bit slow to get our food, the restaurant was crowded so I wasn't put off by that at all. Went back to try to give this business another try to see if their shortcomings I experienced on my first visit were rectified. This second visit was a complete fail. We arrived about 11am on Sunday. They didn't have any tables available but stated it should only be a few minutes, no problem, I know restaurants are busy on Sunday mornings. Here is where the problem started, they wanted to take my phone number and have us wait in the car....WTF is that???? It's 3 degrees outside why would I want to go in and out and in and out?? I've never heard of such a silly thing. We went back to our car alright then drove right out of the parking lot to another restaurant. This was our first visit. It was not crowded, but it still took a long time for the waiter to bring us menus. My savory spinach crepe was delicious, and my sisters' lunches were also tasty. All in all, the food was good. But the service? Not so much. We sat waiting for that waiter to bring us our checks. After a long time, one of us had to walk up to the register to ask for them. Weirdly, we were told they don't bring guests checks; they just ring you up at the front counter. Would have been good to know that from the start! But it got worse when the cashier rang up our orders. She overcharged from menu price, then charges us for credit card upcharges - when we paid cash. Then, she could not mske correct change. We spent way too much time showing her how to do our tabs correctly. I had hoped this would be a new favorite spot, as it is close to my new Naperville home. Horrible customer service! I came in today, early Saturday afternoon, and requested a table for 2. The girl checking us in said there was a wait and asked for a phone number and said we would be called. There were several people waiting outside so we went to sit in the car instead. We waited in the car for 40 minutes and walked back in to ask how much longer it would be. The girl tells me she can sit us now. I asked if she had called us already because we were sitting in the car for 40 MINUTES and nobody had called us. The girl proceeds to say that she called twice and then took us off the list. I informed her that I was literally sitting in the parking lot, in my car, and no one had called us. I don't understand what the purpose of taking a phone number is. No call. No text. No voicemail. Nothing. Mind you, we drove 40 mins to get here and have already been to the Melrose Park location and wanted to try this location too. So disappointed. Horrible customer service. The food was actually pretty good but the drinks are just sugar bombs. The menu doesn't describe them at all. The service is good but the ambience is a little bit off. The only thing that really bugged me about this entire experience was we walked in and they told us we could sit anywhere we liked but then we sat in two places that weren't acceptable for them before they told us to move to a different table. Easily could be solved by just telling people what table to sit at. Overall decent breakfast place. Went in to the location for breakfast. No reservation was needed and our party of 3 say quickly at 10am. Everyone was nice, took our orders, but we did have to ask a few times for water in the beginning. They offer milkshake and coffee flights. We tried the milkshake flight consisting of chocolate, chocolate chip and strawberry. All 3 of us like the chocolate chip the best. The food was good. The sauce over the tortillas was delicious. I added chicken to my meal and I think it would have been nice if the chicken was shredded vs me having to cut it. They do allow you to split the bill if needed at the front of these restaurant with the cashier. The decor and ambiance was cute. I wouldn't mind to go back again and try something else. read more

I was excited to try this place after seeing pictures online, but won't be returning. It's very disorganized. I stood around waiting to be seated and finally had to ask someone if we were supposed to just sit anywhere. She told us to sit at a table and that someone would bring menus soon. The table was still dirty but I could overlook a few crumbs. Unfortunately, we sat and waited at least 20 minutes for someone to come take our order or bring us some water, but despite trying to flag someone down repeatedly, staff just pretended not to see us and continued walking by. Other customers were looking around confused about the long wait as well. We decided to just leave at that point. I called about 3 weeks in advance to make reservations and I gave the guy my name and number of the party. He told me ok all set. Then I found out that he never made my reservation in the first place. The wait time was 30 minutes which is actually not too bad, so we waited. When you walk in the decor, lighting, and feel of the place was magical!! Then we were seated. At first the waitress was pretty good. She was nice and took our order. After that, she never came to check on us. She also never gave us spoons, knives, forks, or napkins. We had to ask another server. Our waitress completely checked out and never came and refilled waters. Then the food took way longer than it should have to come. Even the other patrons were looking around confused why their food was taking so long. We all thought they forgot about us! The only reason this isn't getting less stars was because the food, lattes, and milkshakes we got were delicious. The other table's waitress was so kind and apologized and took of us the rest of the time. She was lovely she had a bow in her hair and was pretty. She saved our meal. I really wanted to love them. I'm very torn about my review. The cafe is super cute!! I love how it's decorated and it's so open and fun. It's located in a strip mall and you would miss it unless you are looking for it. Our visit was on a Saturday morning and when we pulled up they looked a little busy. I love that this is a small business and they are obviously doing well because they opened a second shop. I do think that some things could be done a little better. We sat at our table a long time without anyone checking on us. I needed to go containers and had to go get them myself. They don't bring you your check with a total. You have to go to the front and give them your table number and they ring you out. The server gave us our table number and we sat there so long waiting in a container that we all forgot our number. When I went to pay I said table 5 but it was 4. The poor guy was scrambling looking through tickets. It was my fault but at the same time why am I responsible for telling them my table number? I also don't like that I can't see my bill before hand. The line to pay was quite long and as I stood there watching it seemed like there was a lack of organization in the back. The last in the back kept trying to flag one of the servers cause she couldn't read her order. Overall, I think I'd go again for a latte but not food. Loved this place! Such a variety of both food & drink. The crepe was big and fully stuffed with fruit with more fruit and whipped cream on the side. The coffee flight came with three almost full size glasses for $14. Something like this in the city would easily be $20+ with smaller samples. YES YES YES!!! So much energy from my sugar rush! But honestly - we came here for a coffee date and turned out that this place is a beautiful, hidden gem of, yes coffee, BUT OH SO MUCH MORE! So lets begin - when you enter, you are greeted with warmth like the wonderful coffee brewed within. The owners and staff are kind and welcoming. We thought it was a coffee shop but they actually sell all kinds of beauitful pastries displayed in front (such as GIANT chocolate chip cookies among other things). There is a ton of seating and a menu FULL of wonderful coffee and hot chocolate drinks. We did order black coffee because we weren't expecting such wonderful decadence, HOWEVER, we noticed there were all types of crepes available...so we caved and got a strawberry banana crepe and it was sooooo beautiful. Fresh fruit, cream and a rainbow sprinkle in some frosting. Wow. Oh and the decor is wonderful. They have really cool lighting, a Frida Kahlo wall and wonderful music playing. Just come. I really wanted to like this place. The reviews were mixed but we decided to try it out, as we love breakfast spots! Customer service is horrible. We walked in and I told them I needed a high chair. The lady sat us but never brought it over. The server came over after a few minutes and getting his attention and even ordering was like pulling teeth. He was not attentive, seemed irritated that he was there, and I had to try for more than 10 minutes before I even got his attention at one point (however he did eventually bring the high chair that the other lady did not). When I ordered he read the order back incorrectly so I told him what it was supposed to be. We also orderd a couple shakes. One of the shakes came out first, and my child ate some of the decorations on top, but said that it tasted funny and didnt like it. The food for my family came out relatively quickly and was hot- but mine did not come out at the same time (I noticed this was the case with a table next to us, too). I asked when it was coming and he said it would be right up. My family was about done with their meals by the time they delivered my food, and it was incorrect (mind you this was literally just a waffle). The server guy looked very inconvenienced that he had to fix it. A lady in an apron was the one to deliver my "corrected" order, and again, it didnt look correct like the description and I explained that- it was the same waffle as before, just with a tiny bit of nutella drizzled over it. She offered to get me something else but I told her no as my family was already done with their food and we had been there over an hour at that point. I did eat it but the waffle itself was soggy and had very little flavor (Aunt Jemima makes a better waffle out of the box), but the fruit paired with it was more palatable. About the time we were getting ready to leave was when the other shake came out. We ended up taking it home. Our server had never come back after he took the waffle to fix it, just the lady in the apron. There is no POS, so all of the tickets are hand written for the kitchen. We went to pay and they could not find our ticket, so my husband had to tell them what our order was. The lady in front of us had a similar problem, as hers was put into the computer incorrectly and the cashier was trying to argue with her about it. This place is definitely trying to go for aesthetics over qaulity of food or customer service. While the shakes and coffees are cute, they are not worth the price they are. This could be a really great brunch spot if they fix their customer service (and hire better servers), get some real technology, and work on the quality of their products. read more

Sugar milk Café is such a fun place and they have great menu offerings! I often go for lunch since I work close to there. Their Panini's are incredible! I've also taken my kids for their really fun hot chocolates. And I do enjoy their specialty coffees even though I normally go for just a regular cup of coffee and the service is always good and the people are happy. read more

This is a hidden gem! Great food, great service, fast and friendly. As well as very affordable! We got the chilaquiles, omelette, and two delicious lattes . Strawberry Chai with oat milk and vanilla latte. We will for sure be back. read more
