The Big Bird chicken sandwich ($10) and side of seasoned fries ($3.50). Not too shabby.....
    Eric S.

COOL ME DOWN Pair a refreshing bubble tea with your hot chicken at this new restaurant in Bolingbrook. Nashville hot chicken has become my obsession recently, and I'm excited to formally welcome Chi Tea to the neighborhood. They opened on 6/5/24 in a strip mall near Boughton & Weber Rd. When the previous tenants (Dickey's BBQ Pit) refused to serve pork of any kind, they naturally went out of business which paved the way for Chi Tea to open their doors near Jimmy John's and COVO, a Chipotle-esque Greek spot. The menu here centers around hot chicken served in a variety of ways: sandwich, tenders, nuggets, and topped fries. They also have burgers if you're so inclined, as well as fried pickles and banana pudding for dessert. The 'Big Bird' ($10) isn't a good value, as fries aren't included and the sandwich itself is rather small. I wouldn't recommend it, especially considering that Chik-fil-A is right across the street and you can get a combo meal for the same price. However.... The loaded chicken fries ($7) are delicious and a FANTASTIC value. Although it's a messy affair that'll have you reaching for napkins, you essentially get 2-3 chopped tenders atop a pile of fries, cheese sauce, coleslaw, and their awesome Chi-sauce (a spicy mayo). If you're cool with having everything thrown together, this is the way to go. You can get a bubble tea blended or over ice, in 18 (!) different flavors, including honeydew melon, taro, peach, French vanilla, mango, and something called "Tiger Sugar" which honestly scares me a bit. Add tapioca for 25¢ or jelly/popping boba for 50¢. The Thai iced tea ($5 for a regular) was refreshing but way too sweet for my liking. The standalone seasoned fries ($3.50) were pretty good, a solid 3.5 / 5. I saw not 1, but 2 customers turned away because Chi Tea can't accept cash--they're card only. Bummer man! The inside is surprisingly pretty, with artificial ferns hanging from the ceiling and tasteful yet minimal wall art. The first time I was here, there was no one manning the register (online or kiosk ordering only). On the following visit one guy was taking orders, though using the kiosk was still faster. * TL;DR * Everything was tasty enough and as long as I don't make this a regular lunch stop, I won't go broke (sandwich + fries + milk tea = $20). The flavor of the hot chicken was on-point and the spice level was accurate, although next time I'll dial it up a notch and get their highest heat level. I'll start these guys off with 4* and see where things develop from there. Glad to have y'all nearby, best of luck!

Had the beef loaded fries and the spice gave it a nice kick. Very similar to the Chi Tea classic burger as the sauce and flavors were the same, but was greasy good. The Big Bird I choose mild and it had the perfect heat and it was crispy. The chicken was also bigger than the buns. Love the decor inside. Believe there was a kiosk to place an order, but we went to the counter to place our order. They call your order by your name. Don't think they need to place their logo sticker on the containers as we have to peel it off anyways to open the containers.

Came in during a weekday afternoon and the restaurant was relatively quiet. Walked up to the front and the guy told me and my daughter to order from the screen on the wall. I guess it's because the menu screens weren't on. Ok fine....did that and the wait was minimal. We ended up dining in and the food was really tasty. I'm coming back to get either the burger or chicken sandwich! This time, I'll lay off the spic

    Zoom for the hair

The flavors were good, but while eating the fries, I pulled a hair out of my mouth. I looked in the bag and there was another strand of hair stapled to the bag dangling on top of my fries. My head is shaved bald so I knew it wasn't mine. That was gross, I threw out all the rest of my food . I'm assuming thats not the norm, but probably won't be back over the hair.

This is Chicken Loaded Fries, we ordered 3 different fries. They all taste good, but they are pretty salty and drowning with sauce.

We ordered 3 different fries. Chicken loaded fries, beef loaded, and regular fries. Fries are pretty good, but they are pretty salty and drowning with sauce. The regular fries were so good and crunchy but too much salt. I ordered peach blended tea, the drink was good but too sweet. Wish they would label our drinks so we know which is which. We ordered 5 different flavors but they look similar. Food is good and we will try again.

    Chi Tea Classic Slider

Quality and quantity went down a lottttttt! Wow , surprised to see the slider being bite size now and the "Big" Bird missing the "Big" out of it. Not sure how you expect to stay in business if you can't keep the consistency and quality. It's a shame because I actually loved eating here.

The absolute best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten. I eat here frequently and it never disappoints! Also, the taro bubble tea is amazing.

Bread could have been better, but not the worse. The crispy chicken was the star of the meal! I'll definitely have that again. Great crisp and flavor. I got it with Boom Boom sauce and it worked great. Fries were good, and so was the milk tea. The cinnamon sugar waffles though were a total let down: very dry. Extremely disappointing All in all, a good local option and will definitely order again.

I wasn't impressed with the bread itself but we all have our off days but it would probably have taken this to 5 stars. I also had couple of the waffles to go and this is where things kinda start falling apart a little and literally. They came on a stick but you couldn't really hold the stick up as the waffle was too heavy so I didn't understand the concept. It still had good flavor though. They Ube waffle was different but I didn't feel I tasted any "ube" like I am not sure it added anything except the color. I had the smoothie as well and that was very sweet and didn't taste natural so that I didn't like but I am sure others might. I definitely would have preferred a more natural smoothie. Inside the store its kinda cute for teens to hang out. So overall I recommend this place. Food : 4/5 Service: 4/5

One of Aurora's (Chicago Suburbs) Best Boba Tea Spots!…read more After traveling around the world and tasting boba from Taiwan to Singapore, I can confidently say that Vannie House in Aurora delivers some of the best tapioca pearls I've had in the U.S. The pearls are perfectly chewy, fresh, and absolutely on par with the quality I've experienced in top-tier Asian tea shops. One thing I really appreciate is the tapioca-to-drink ratio. Most boba shops either overload you with pearls or drown everything in too much liquid. Vannie House nails the balance, every sip and scoop feels intentional and well crafted. I tried several drinks on my visit: M9 (modified with Thai Tea) -- Smooth, flavorful, and extremely well blended. A3 Orange Peach with Black Tea -- Sweet, refreshing, and surprisingly layered in flavor. Hot Chai Tea -- Rich, warm, and incredibly smooth. Easily one of the best chai teas I've had at any boba shop. The interior decor is also a standout, clean, modern, cozy, and aesthetically designed. It's the kind of place you actually want to sit and enjoy your drink rather than rush out. Huge shoutout to Niko, whose recommendations were absolutely on point. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, exactly the kind of service that keeps you coming back. If you're in Aurora and looking for high-quality boba tea, Vannie House (my #47 Boba Tea Spot) is a must-try. I'll 100% be returning whenever I'm in the area.

The weird part was asking if i had a punch card and when i said no they didn't offer me one either? Either way, i got the taro strawberry smoothie and a hazelnut iced coffee. Neither of us enjoyed the drinks because they're very syrup heavy resulting in a drink that's wayyyyy too sweet. It just tastes like drinking concentrated syrup and powder blended/mixed with milk. Barely tasted any taro. Having some real ingredients like frozen strawberries with taro powder is what I'd expect at this price point. Not both ingredients being powdered and syrups. The tapioca itself was really good, soft and not too chewy. But there's just way too much of it, you're eating boba more than enjoying a drink. The brown sugar syrup that the boba sits in doesn't help with the additional sweetness in the drink. Wouldn't recommend for real drinks
