This place was incredible! I ordered the Crispy Fluffy Pita and it was out of this world tasty. The crunch and crispiness lasted with each bite of my Pita. It had sesame seeds lightly throughout the crispy flavorful breading. I had mine filled with lamb meat, hummus, red cabbage, and white sauce. I also bought a side of their pickled assortment. It too was so good! If you like a little spice and sour with your food it's the perfect combo with this food. I also ordered a chicken shawarma wrap with the same ingredients of my pita. And it was great too! They also had a red hot sauce that had a really unique tasty flavor that i had on the side for dipping my wrap in. The falafel was great too, larger than most spots i've been too. And very moist and tasty with that nice crunch. And lastly i ordered one of each of their desserts. Unbelievable! How tasty the dubai chocolate and Hazelnut Crunch cake were! So delicious!!! Excellent take out shawarma experience here the other night. The place I had been planning on going to in Naperville closed earlier than I expected so I did a quick search and found this newish looking restaurant was only a 10 min drive south and that they were open until midnight. Everything on the menu sounded reallly good so I went ahead and tried to order through Toast but the order kept glitching out when I went to pay. Not sure if this was because it was already 11:15 or some other reason so I decided to just drive over and try my luck. They're located in nice strip mall next to an Eiffel Waffle and a Boba place and I was glad to see that there were still people ordering and dining in when I arrived. The restaurant is clean all around and the staff are very friendly. It was no problem and no extra charge to get a half steak and half chicken shawarma bowl with also both types of rice so that I could get a taste of everything which I really appreciated. The bowl was absolutely delicious. Nicely charred, well seasoned meat with great tasting rice (both the red and yellow) as well as fresh salad and veggies and some of the best shatta, tahini, and garlic sauce I've had yet. The hot sauce was the perfect balance of acidity and heat. Big serving sizes and canned drink included for $15.99. They had sensibly priced Dubai chocolate bars and basbousa at the register and I opted for the latter. It is good but maybe a little too reliant on coconut for my taste. In any case, I can't wait to stop by Hello Shawarma again. I think next time I'll give their fluffy pita a try. We recently tried this business for takeout. The order took a little longer than expected, but it was a larger order. My husband ordered the 3 piece chicken schnitzel with onion rings. The sizes of the tenders were huge, and the crispy breading was really tasty. We also ordered 1 lb of chicken shawarma, a couple sides of rice, a "salad bowl" of toppings, and a couple of pitas to make our own bowls at home. The shawarma was just OK - had a weird taste and the chicken could have used some char. We also tried the cheese sticks, which were very good. They have $90 family meals, but I would have appreciated something around $40 where I could feed my family. They do not carry fountain drinks, just cans/ bottles. read more

This place looks like a chain, (And I think it might be-at least a local one) and as such, the antennae were WAY up when I entered this brightly lit corner on Bolingbrooks Weber Ave "Restaurant Row". The kitchen is all the way visible, with nothing to hide. A number of Doner roasters and fryers on the back wall, and through the glass all of the preparation bins were RIGHT THERE. It all looked superb and fresh. The billboard menu above was easy to read, although if you don't know what Bashka or Mansaf is, you're not going to find out anything there. The Gal behind the counter (at least on the day I was there) seemed to not have the best command of English, although she was most polite and professional. I had never heard of a "Puffy" Pita, so of course I swung with a "Crispy Puffy Lamb Pita with Everything". They were making Falafels for another order, and they looked swell, so I piped an order of 3 as a side dish. Upon walking in, there was a cart that had an assortment of Middle-Eastern Pickles (Which I have a remarkable affinity for). When you order them, they hand you a clamshell and you return to the cart to "Pick your own". A perfect diversion while your food is prepared to order. There was a pile of fab-looking Baklavas in clamshells in the ordering window, and they were SO fab-looking I had to throw one in on my order. Well. I got in the car and HAD to try one of the Falafels while they were hot and crispy (Wife was driving). Need to say, these might have been the best Falafels I've ever had. Chock full of flavor, with a mighty crunch, and this was even without a dunk in the provided Tahini sauce. I savaged the entire order of 3 before we got home. The "Crispy Puffy Lamb Pita" was a handful, and it too, was a flavor extravaganza. I don't know exactly what constitutes a "Crispy Fluffy Pita", but this one was really delish. On another, later visit I had just a "Puffy Lamb Pita" which was notch below the Crispy morsel, but still yum. The Garlic and Pomegranate sauces on the side were tasty, but the CripsyPuffy really did not need any help in the flavor department. Wife had procured me a Hot Tender from "Fry The Coop" a few doors down from Hello Shawarma here, and I was dipping it in the Hello Shawarma sauces to the Chicken Tender's advantage. The Baklava was, as it turned out, not simply good, it was OUTSTANDING! Full disclosure, with the absence of Arak on my booze shelf, I substituted a nice glass of Ouzo on the rocks to quaff with my meal, and it was a perfect call So I'm throwing 5 for this fab chain, a fine mid-eastern meal indeed! Amazing. Will be back hands down. The falafel is fresh and green (good amount of parsley inside) and comes with garlic sauce. The lamb pita...a must try. I was torn with getting this or the Bashka, but so glad I tried the pita. Succulent tender pieces of lamb meat, and sure there's pieces of fat, but I'm glad it's there to remind me that this is real lamb. Next time will come back to try the Bashka. Food used to be wonderful! Never had an issue with the quality until recently. The service on the other hand has always been on the side of needing improvements. Though the food is typically good, I've had issues with missing items, rude behavior, and now, the quality of the meal itself. I received what looked like burnt or chewed up meat that was supposed to be chicken. This has never been an issue in the past but unfortunately this is my last straw! read more

Had the BEST experience at Hello Shawarma The food was absolutely incredible -- fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Every bite tasted homemade and high quality. The shawarma was juicy, the sides were delicious, and everything came out fast and hot. What really made it special though was the manager. So welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. All that comes on their wrap is garlic sauce and pickles; which we would have missed if I didn't question the lack or ingredients. Food: terrible! We've been on the hunt for a decent shawarma, and this place by far has been the worst. The meat was dry. The pickled turnips with hard not crisp. Even the other ingredients didn't have flavor. Rice Bowl - 5/5 This was easily the highlight of our order. I got a mix of chicken and steak with both kinds of rice, and everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The meats were tender and seasoned really well. The sauces took it over the top, especially the garlic and spicy red sauce. Fries - 4.5/5 The fries were awesome! They were the perfect size, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and well-seasoned. Definitely a great side to round out the meal. Jalapeño Poppers - 3/5 These were decent, but I wish they had a bit more cheese inside. The flavor was there, and they were still enjoyable especially when dipped in the pomegranate sauce (pro tip: do that!). The sweet heat combo worked surprisingly well. Service - 5/5 The staff here were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I really appreciated that they answered our questions, gave generous portions and gave us a bunch of extra sauces free of charge, especially since we were trying things out for the first time. I also loved that they were flexible with my order letting me do half and half for both the rice and the meats in my bowl. Ambiance - 2.5/5 The ambiance was nothing special - just a few tables tucked in the back of the restaurant. Hello Shawarma is genuinely one of my favorite places in Bolingbrook. I need to branch out and try new things, but every time I come back I end up getting the steak shawarma wrap because it is THAT delicious. I got it with extra garlic sauce on the side once and it was amazing. It holds up well for takeout too! The service is great and the workers are super friendly. The system is clean and easy - they text when your order is ready and also call out your name. I hope to have online ordering in the future to make takeout easier, but for now I'm happy with the speedy creation of my meal. read more

I couldn't eat it 3 bites I was done The wrap was better but bland I had what was suggested. Tomato onion cabbage pickle and sauce. Partners came with tomato & onion I think the cabbage ruined my sandwich or the sauce or the combo of the two The gentleman came out seen me scrapping the cabbage off and offered to "fix it". The only edible thing was the shawarma bowl. I visited this place around two weeks ago and ordered shawarma sandwiches and the bread was stale and very hard to chew with thick dough that I had to throw the sandwiches. The bread was burnt and the chicken had a bitter taste. I ordered a crispy shawarma sandwich and got fried disgusting pita bread with weird seasonings. I don't know what the deal is. I had ordered online from the Bolingbrook location a chicken shawarma and somehow it said lamb wrap when they got the order. We live half an hour away from the restaurant. I called the location and spoke to Adnan the manager. I told him I ordered a chicken wrap but got a lamb wrap which I didn't order. Somehow there was a mix up on the order and it showed a lamb wrap was ordered. I told the manager please refund me the money because I live half an hour away even though somehow it showed up as a lamp wrap. Any good manager with customer service would return the money due to the mix up. This ashole of a manager Adnan told me to drive half an hour to return the wrap to get the refund. What manager would tell a customer to drive back to get the refund. I also asked him to give me his district managers name and he told me it was him when he was only the manager and wouldn't give me his district managers name. Never again will we order from such a horrible place that has such a bad customer service. read more
