This place first caught my eye a little while back when I was driving to Crest Hill but it unfortunately wasn't open that day so I had to wait until the next time I was in the area to give them a try. The restaurant was big and clean inside with plenty of tables and seating. I even saw a large party of more than 8 people easily accommodated. The cashier who took my order was very nice. The menu isn't extensive but they have a decent selection from which to choose. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap to go and sat down while I waited for my food. The order took a little longer than expected but I could see that it was being made to order which I appreciated. I asked the cashier if they had any hot sauce and she happily grabbed me a cup. I really liked the chicken flavor and the toppings in the wrap. It came with a cup of garlic sauce which I appreciated but was a little too thick for my taste so it was kind of hard to add it into the wrap. The hot sauce was interesting and had a flavor profile similar to others I've had but with something added that sets it apart. Although I think I prefer others I still appreciated what it brought to the wrap. If you're a fan of middle eastern cuisine I would recommend giving Taste of Jerusalem a try.

So we wanted something different tonight we decided to try the Taste of Jerusalem for the first time.... We ordered both beef and chicken shawarma which was quite tasty.. and actually wasn't dry I've had it from other restaurants in the past and this was a problem.. We ordered the falafels, which were one of the best ones I've had... We also ordered the Baba Ganoush that was also delicious... I wish that they had had pita chips .. because I'm a dipper.. I'm a fan of basmati rice .. although their spicy rice was way too hot for me,.. I know it would have been good. Had it not been too hot for my taste... And I prefer more of a yellow rice than just white, but everybody's place does things differently..... Overall it was a decent meal.....

Chicken kabob and spicy rice

I Love this place. It's my favorite! I live 40min away and everytime I'm in the area I stop there. The chicken kabob is my go to, I usually don't like rice but the spicy rice here I swear is amazing and paired with the garlic sauce . The people who run the place are also wonderful people! You must stop here if you are in the area!

Phenomenal Mediterranean food. The best in the area. Always fresh, always delicious. We love this restaurant & everything that comes out of their kitchen. The vegetarian plates are spectacularly tasty. My boys love the combo plates. Chicken skewer, Beef skewer, kafta skewers, super juicy & tasty!! This is a family owned business. Mary is amazing. We order often, but weekdays from 2-5p is generally the time for the fastest, ultra direct service, Come check them out then or anytime!

Vegetarian plate perfect for lent. Each bite is savory and mouth watering. Very authentic Mediterranean food.

Delicious so full of flavor however the serving of rice compensates for the meat serving.

Nottt a favourite. My sister and I pulled up last year--I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap and we…read moreshared the Smoked Chicken + Artichoke Dip and the cheese curds. It ended up being a massive bummer! For the wrap, I really do hate sounding so harsh, but I don't know how else to put it other than it was one of the worst things I've had. It was soggy, cold, and smelled--not sure about the taste since I could barely taste anything except the sauce--almost rancid! I have NEVER had Buffalo sauce taste like that before! And my lettuce was super soggy and super yellow with some browning, past the regular texture + colour for this type of lettuce. I had many more pieces, but I was so in shock from the wrap that I genuinely didn't take any photos. I genuinely felt ill and I couldn't come close to finishing it--and neither could my sister when she tried to help! The dip was OK, but again, it was cold and rather tasteless. We did end up finishing it, but it wasn't generally noteworthy. It was the best out of the three items we tried, though! The cheese curds were either barely cooked and stale or very overcooked and chilled--the cheese was hard, rubbery, and really cold! They were seasoned nicely though, so we ate enough of it--especially my sister who found some redeeming factors within them! The sauce helped! Oddly enough, we were basically the only people inside, so I'm not sure what went so wrong! There was a small post-funeral or celebration of life being hosted outside (I think???? Everyone in that area wore black/dark formal clothing and looked upset), so maybe all the care went to them?? I'm not sure how it could've really been a "bad day" since it was pretty well staffed and seemingly little stress, but I'm giving a benefit of the doubt if that's my ignorance!! The employees were so sweet and bubbly, though! Interior was cute and super lively, but EXTREMELY cold LOL. Maybe that's why our food was frigid... Redeeming points: The water tasted good!! Not much more to say, just pretty disappointed! I've heard people really like it, even people I know personally, but I really cannot think about it much without feeling ill! I wish I was joking!! Plus, my sister was returning after visiting with our father, where she ordered a Reuben which was overall OK, but not really worth the price (as she reports!). Really unfortunate! Not sure if we will be returning, but we really did appreciate the kind servers and awesome environment!

Station One Smokehouse offers a variety of different meats by the pound or in sandwich form - brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and more. All the meats will bring a smile to your face. The smoke ring is there, everything is still juicy, and there's quite the variety of sides. BBQ sauces are available with utensils and drinks off to the side, but you could do without the sauce. The food is that good. It's a legit BBQ place when they're not trying to slathering their meats in sauce trying to conceal something. There's also a bar and TVs to enjoy beers and sports that runs the length of the interior. Station One knows their craft and it's nice to see a legitimate BBQ spot. The only problem is that it isn't closer to my house.

I got a chopped brisket sandwich, sliced brisket sandwich and a full slab of ribs 75.00 spent. Chopped brisket was like bacon and super dry. The guy open a newly wrapped brisket to slice one of my sandwiches. Totally dry to the point we had to lots drink water to get it down. I tried adding alot of bbq sauce so it could go down. This has never happened before. The ribs were over cooked the outside was hard. Not sure what's going on but I noticed different workers and maybe something has changed. I called back to complain and was not offered a refund or something else to replace the food. Times are difficult and we don't have money to waste on food that's not edible. Wasted money...

Have to immediately put this out there... service was great!!…read more I yelped fast casual on a road trip. Amba was a little off off 55 but o simply didn't want some of the more traditional fast casual spots. So we selected Amba. We pulled up, and there was one table of customers. The atmosphere Ilic's clean but had a hamburger joint feel to it. I started to question if this was the right choice. If you stop reading before what I have to say below, trust me you'll love this place. We walked up to the digital menu which has a feel of a franchise even through the rest of the restaurant feels like an independent mom/pop joint. So I order a bowl- rice, greens, falafel, cucumber/tomato mix, picked onions, olives, traditional. Hummus and feta. Then we get to the sauce... I'm simply overwhelmed with all the choices. The nice man behind the counter gave me a little dollop of 5-6 sauces and they were all amazing... ! You can't go wrong with any of them. I went with The Amba sauce but really they all were so flavorful! My bowl was huge! More than I could eat in one sitting (similar to the quantity of a chipotle bowl which I also can never finish). The falafel!!! Oh my! Probably one of the most flavorful falafel that I've ever had. Yum! Yum. Yum! My husband had the chicken shawarma ... he said his was awesome, I'm pretty sure awesome chicken shawarma was no where as good as my falafel. I'm not a soda drinker, but if I was, I'd be super excited about their no HFCS soda. All flavors are made with real cane sugar! I was super happy with yelp's suggestion. Next time we pass through, we will be back!

The bar is the first thing you notice and is very welcoming to sit and have a drink. Cocktail menu was a good selection and some unique offerings. Ordered the appetizer of focaccia with the lemon ricotta and marinated cherry tomatoes. Was decent but the tomatoes may have gone better with a savory ricotta like basil/garlic rather than the lemon. Just a personal opinion. Was fresh and different. Ordered a house salad which was good, fresh and not watery like some places. Then the pizza, great crust. Well risen, chewy but not soggy at all , just the right crisp and not skimpy on the toppings. Sauce was not sweet and a good roasted tomato flavor. Service was fantastic on an early Saturday evening! Would go back to try some other items as they looked really good coming from the kitchen going to surrounding tables!

O.M.B. (ONE MAGNIFICENT BURGER)…read more Their name doesn't say it, but Next Whiskey Bar serves an incredible burger. I know my way around a sandwich, and I have to say the offerings at NWB in downtown Plainfield are some of the best around. Look for the blue & white house on Lockport St, and you'll know you've found it. NWB doesn't take reservations, however you can join an online waitlist. Park on the street or in a small lot adjacent to the building. The beer selection is fantastic, a pint ($8) never disappoints although I usually lean towards a Hefeweizen or pilsner with my meal. Yeah yeah, I know this is a WHISKEY bar, but yours truly doesn't do the brown liquor.....bad experience with Jägermeister as a kid. For appetizers, the cheese curds ($14) are pricey but oh-so-worth it. They come with a cilantro aioli and we get an order of these every single visit. The cauliflower popcorn ($11) is also a very worthy choice for starters; roasted and seasoned cauliflower florets are served with a sumptuous clarified butter. Their house NWB Burger ($16.50) is a busy affair, with pork belly, bbq sauce, onion straws and cheese curds on a pretzel bun. The Big Jer ($15.25) is a much simpler yet equally stellar burger with 2x4oz patties, lettuce, tomato, and Merkt's cheddar spread served with a pickle spear. I recently tried the Suribachi ($15.50) and it blew my mind. A 1/2lb patty is lightly fried in tempura batter, then topped with pepperjack cheese, wasabi coleslaw and sriracha on a brioche bun. Next time, I'm giving the El Toro a shot (pickled habaneros, corn guac). My wife loves the pork belly mac ($16), a good portion of cheesy cavatappi pasta with crispy pork belly. Their Cubano ($15) is solid and the Taylor Street panini ($15) is a tasty Italian grinder, with prosciutto, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato and olive spread on focaccia bread. NWB's homemade chips are amazing, I always opt for them instead of fries (which are also great). Bread = 5+ Circuses = 4.5 Service has been generally fine, but last visit it took a long time for our server to come by initially. The inside of this converted house is somewhat cramped so if the weather allows, I suggest dining 'al fresco'. Their outdoor patio definitely passes the vibe check. I honestly can't decide whose doughnuts are better, Empire in Naperville or Next Whiskey Bar's. It might be a tie! In any case, we ALWAYS end a meal here with the fried doughnuts ($11) that come with a heavenly whiskey caramel sauce for dipping. * TL;DR * In my mind, NWB stands for "Nirvana, With Burgers". Everything we've gotten here has exceeded expectations. Cheese curds, cauliflower popcorn, pork belly pasta, doughnuts and of course burgers all stand out. I would get the Suribachi again in a HEARTBEAT. The ambiance is ideal for date night and small groups, and with a small dining area that fills up fast, come early or expect a wait. Next Whiskey Bar is one of my favorite restaurants in the western suburbs, I highly recommend them.

We ordered the NWB trio as an app. We had this before . It took a long time to be delivered .The pita bread was stale and the hummus dip was very dry almost old looking.
