Happy Falafel never misses. I got the chicken kabob bowl and it was amazing! The chicken was super flavorful and tender, the rice was perfect, and that white sauce on top just makes it all hit even harder. The little salad on the side adds a nice fresh crunch too. Definitely recommend!!

It has plenty of choices for vegetarians. Fairly good prices on most of the items. They also have combos where you can save even more. I came to get carryout. It has falafel of course along with other classic Middle Eastern favorites. The first time here I had to get the namesake. Get falafel a few ways and none are bad. These come in pitas or on salads. It's $6 for a pretty decent pita. This comes with hummus and Jerusalem salad. Falafel was crispy without being burnt. The hummus was creamy and the Jerusalem salad had good seasoning and added a lot. Along with falafel are some other things worth giving a shot such as hummus. It comes on the pita so it's good with something or even on it's own. There's also common Middle Eastern favorites such as shawarma.

Shawarma rotisserie may be raw early in the day, but don't you worry, it goes on the grill before you receive.

Delicious and fast middle eastern food that make your belly feel like you made a really healthy choice! The place is clean and the portions are fairly large (i.e., if you're really hungry this will fill you up; if you're looking for a light lunch, you'll have left overs). We've ordered three times and outside of one error in my order (which was still delicious), I'm putting Happy Falafel on regular rotation. *NOTE: I agree with Yelper, @Rachel Z., that once the stay-at-home order hit, this site had myriad problems. My wife and I stopped by a few times hoping they'd be open or at least provide information about online/phone ordering only to be left with more questions. At one point we gave up thinking the restaurant had gone under, but then people started talking and posting again and we finally had a chance to visit. During this initial reopening the staff refused to wear masks, but as of my last visit in October 2020, we were happy to see they'd signed on to the requirement.

This place had consistently shown high-quality good service, usually on time when you order carryout and while the prices have gone up, they're not completely out of sight definitely five stars. I really like the one guy who I'm not sure if he's the manager or what but when they open a store in Channahon he was gone for a while And I felt like I missed him a little bit because he did just a little better job than everybody else and now that the Channahon store is organized and running , he is back.He's a guy with a little beard and slightly gray hair, wears glasses, he's probably in his 50s really nice guy, do not know his name, but he's top shelf, and always make sure the stuff is properly in the bags, and ready to go and it's always a correct order for me. read more

My husband and I decided to check this place out today. We ordered a falafel pita, schwarma pita, 2 kibbeh, fries and two ZEN bottled, watermelon/strawberry drinks with basil seeds, my husband had to pay extra for sauces. The food was delicious and the falafel was fantastic. We were a fan of everything but the sauces. I also think customer service can improve to where customers feel more welcomed and employees have more optimistic and helpful attitudes instead of being so dismissive and kind of rude. read more

Visited today, met Mat the very friendly owner who explained the menu very well. I ordered the chicken kebab bowl and the chicken was very tender and flavorful, as well was surprised by how automatic the yellow rice was as well. BEWARE!!!!! I got FOOD POISONING, and when I asked for my money back, they asked me for a letter from my Dr( which I provided a few days later). They then refused to give me my money back even though I returned most of my leftovers. It was horrible! Eat at your own risk!!! read more

My family recently came here for a dinner for take out. The reviews of this place were very well received so we gave it a chance. Staff was friendly, took our order and it wasn't too long until we were ready to go. The chicken shwarma was absolutely delicious and filling. Prices here are fair. Surprised there wasn't anybody here at all. There's construction around here, so don't let that deter you. Overall, great restaurant worth checking out! read more

The food here is very tasty. I stop by here after dropping off or picking up my dry cleaning. So, it is a convenient place to grab a delicious bite while doing errands. I think I have had everything here at least once and it's all been good. Service is good. Never a complaint, but nothing ever stands out. Great food, friendly staff Highly recommend this restaurant when you want something much healthier than the usual burgers and fries. We order chicken and beef kakobs, and both were cooked perfectly! Everything about this food was delicious, hot and very pleasing to the eye. I've drove past this place a few times and decided to stop and go in. I got the beef and chicken swami bowl and it was delicious, the mix of flavors are like a rainbow made of skittle, the fresh vegetables mixed with the meat and rice was different and something I will definitely go back for. very clean place to set and ate if you choose to. Was told by the manager to "be careful" with the red chilli sauce, as he was worried because people had left negative reviews because of the spice of the red chilli or because of how it made their stomach feel. This red chilli sauce is one of the most delicious red chilli sauces I've ever had. The owner/workers are very kind and helpful, and the food is delicious. This place is a great, and I recommend it to anyone in or visiting the area to give this place a try ! read more

Perfectly cooked, not a trace of that greasy heaviness that ruins lesser versions. Just fragrant, spiced, crispy little bites that I genuinely savored. My partner got the chicken wrap and said every component worked together without competing, tasted fresh, and left him full without feeling heavy. High praise from a man who knows his way around a wrap. The space is clean and simple. You order from a kiosk. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed -- not only with the presentation, but also with the skimpy portions of toppings. The meat and rice tasted like they had been sitting for a while, and I was surprised that I had to pay extra for sauce. I selected feta as one of my toppings, and they literally placed a solid brick of it on top of the bowl. ‍ The other toppings looked like maybe a couple of tablespoons each. The wrap was also served in a floppy tortilla. From what I'm used to, places typically crisp the tortilla slightly in a pan before wrapping it so it has some texture and a little crunch. I'm glad to see that others seem to be enjoying their meals here, but unfortunately this experience just wasn't it for me. I guess I'll have to make the drive to the GOAT -- Sem Sem.

They used to have a little salsa/sauce bar where you could pick your hot sauce, and pickled items like pickles/onions/etc., but now you have to pay PER item and it escalates quickly. Lately a meal is costing me like 26.00 here and for that price I could literally go out to dinner. It makes it hard to justify coming in lately. TO clarify on the sides, pickles are 1.69 plus 2 small hot sauces at .69 each is another 1.38, plus turnips for 1.39 if you choose. So, yes it adds up. And I've never had to pay for salsa or hot sauce at any other restaurant.

My partner got the chicken wrap and said every component worked together without competing, tasted fresh, and left him full without feeling heavy. High praise from a man who knows his way around a wrap. The space is clean and simple. You order from a kiosk.
