For our entrée, we shared the mixed grill plate. We did ask for the filet mignon to be well done but slightly pink, and even though it wasn't exactly that, everything still tasted really good and flavorful. This whole experience was amazing! We came here to celebrate my birthday. We had heard about the quality food and long wait and we got both. The wait on the weekends is long but well worth it because with their system they send you a text when it's 15 min out so you can explore a cafe or do what you need nearby while waiting which is what we did. I never liked mansaf in my life but the one they had was absolutely delicious and still craving it now. We came on a weekday in the evening and it was a bit of a wait but there is a seating inside and out to wait and while you do they serve you the Arabic coffee with spices that was good. The servers were very accommodating and friendly that felt like home. There were some birthday and union parties going on while we sat, looks like a good place for celebrating some happy moments where the staff would come by and cheer for you. My best friend and I visited for Mother's Day and had one the best local dining experiences ever! Upon arrival, parking was a little light but they have a lot and we both got spots pretty quickly. The meats were accompanied by white and red rice. Everything was flavored well. My favorite meat from the mixed grill was the lamb! The restaurant was fairly loud as it was very crowded for Mother's Day. We had an amazing server and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. They also had a gentlemen passing by with small tastings of something similar to espresso. It was hot and smoky. It was a nice touch after dinner. Everything was spot on -- the kabobs were juicy and flavorful, the shrimp perfectly grilled, and the kunafah was the perfect sweet ending. Portions are HUGE (definitely come hungry or be ready for leftovers). Service was friendly even though it was packed. We waited about half an hour to be seated, but it was very busy (which is a good sign) so that was no issue, plus the aromas were delightful! We had the sampler appetizer...soo fresh and delicious! We arrived at the restaurant around 5:00 p.m. and thought it would be easy to get a table, but the restaurant was pretty much packed on a Saturday night at that time. The portions were amazing for the prices and we left satisfied and content. Although the restaurant decor is very welcoming and the food is hearty, the service was overwhelming. They kept on clearing our tables fast while we wanted to keep our plates. I was about to get second helpings but my plate was already gone. There were 3 to 4 servers just hovering. They cleared out plates but never asked if we needed more water or drinks. Dessert menu was not suggested either. Our table definitely felt rushed since the restaurant is not fast food. We came here for iftar and the food was good, so we were actually planning to come back again with more friends and family. However, the service completely ruined the experience. Our friend had a reservation for 9 people (8 adults and one 2 year old toddler) , but due to family emergencies only 6 adults ended up coming (instead of 6). When the bill came, they charged us for 9 Ramadan specials which included the 2-yr old. Since when did we start charging kids for adult meals? Make it make sense. When we explained to our waiter that only six people showed up, the owner/manager came over and was very dismissive. His explanation was that he would "lose money" because 3 people didn't come, (again the third "people" was a toddler). That made absolutely no sense, especially since we ordered plenty of additional food (the ramadan special includes only appetizer like hummus, babaganush, desert, and tea) and our total bill was pretty high for six people. Charging for people who are not there and even a toddler for an adult meal is unreasonable and pretty greedy especially during the holy month of ramadan. We expected more. It's really unfortunate because we would have gladly returned eventhough it's very far and out of our way. But after this experience and the way we, Muslim sisters were treated by our brother in faith, we won't be coming back. I recently brought a dear friend to M'Dakhan to try a true authentic Palestinian meal. Needless to say, we ended up ordering almost everything on the menu, including the Arayes, Kibbeh, Kuftah with Tahini, and Mansaf Rolls, which were all very delicious! One thing to note is that they don't take reservations, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. But it's totally worth it!
