I have passed by this spot multiple times so I decided to give them a try today. Upon entering a nice lady greeted me. I told her this was my first time here and she gave me a take out menu to review and let her know when I'm done. I ordered the large chicken shawarma bowl. She informed me the order preparer would let me know when I can select the items for my bowl, similar to Chipotle, Cava. A guy called me to select items for the bowl. I noticed the bowl was about to overflow. I stopped adding toppings. Talk about a bang for your money. I informed him it was my first time there. He told me he was glad I stopped by and to come back. I also was given a beverage from the fridge. I chose a Middle Eastern lemon lime drink. The experience at this restaurant has been very bittersweet We visited for the first time on a Friday, and we were warmly welcomed by the hostess, and as soon as we arrived, she brought us water, gave us the menus, took our order super fast and the food was Amazing! Plus the experience (service) was really good, and, we couldn't wait to come back. Unfortunately, when we returned just 4 days later (on Wednesday) it was a disaster... There was no hostess this time, just 3 gentlemen, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone even came to our table with menus (we were the only clients, the restaurant was empty) they didn't greet us or say hello, and simply dropped the menus on the table and walked away, and about 10 minutes later, someone finally came back to take our order, but the biggest disappointment, though, was the food. We ordered the hummus, and it was clearly a SPOILED It had an extremely sour taste, similar to spoiled milk, It was SOOO BAD that I couldn't even eat it. We also ordered the mac and cheese bites, and they were absolutely drenched in oil The service was just as disappointing. No one ever brought us water or even asked if we'd like something to drink, not even the complimentary water that most restaurants provide. At the end of the meal, we had to walk up to the cashier ourselves to pay, and the staff was rude throughout the entire interaction. Customer Service in these type restaurants in this hood is always superb. Always. Like. Over the top kind and patient. We ended up here cuz the spot we were gonna eat at was BOOKED with reservations for the evening because of Ramadan. I get it. They fast ALL day and then they wanna EAT. I totally understand. This place was walk in. They seated us and our friends and we ordered FOOD. So tasty. Really just so good. Imma post pictures but I honestly don't remember what we ordered. But there wasn't ANYTHING on our table that wasn't absolutely delicious. Just look through their menu. KNOW WHAT YOU LIKE and if you need help, just ask. They will help you. Cuz they're so kind. Schwarma chicken meal $13.49 Schwarma sandwich $9 Comes with a large heaping of seasoned fries, Toulum sauce. The chicken schwarma sandwich was excellent, lots of good flavor, moist, and the bread was nice and had some chew. I would only get this next time. Schwarma steak sandwich $11.99- steak was soft, tasty. But didn't have the same level of flavor as the chicken. If you desire beef, this is a good option. 3 Chicken tenders $9.99- comes with fries. Delicious food, generous portions, and great prices! I've tried the food from this spot before through Uber Eats, but I recently visited in person and it was as great as delivery! We got the half rotisserie chicken meal and half fried chicken meal - we were told we'd have to wait a while for our food, but the wait was worth it. While we waited, we were given a complimentary soup, which was such a nice (and delicious) touch! When we got our food, it was piping hot, wonderfully seasoned, and perfectly cooked. I'll admit that we were impressed by how juicy and tender each piece of chicken was, including the chicken breasts. The rice was amazing, fries were great, and had a variety of drinks to choose from. I've been trying to find great rotisserie-style chicken in Chicago since I've had the best from Holy Land in Minneapolis. I had hope for Alasala in Bridgeview, but I will still be looking. The portions are huge, and everyone in the restaurant was nice. We ordered the half chicken rotisserie meal, the half chicken broasted meal, and the shawarma meal for three people in our party. The portions were so generous that it would have been enough for six people. The shawarma was great! The broasted chicken and the rotisserie needed more flavor. We got served complimentary tea while we were waiting for our food, and it was a small cup of warm hospitality. i hate to be rough on the new business in town - but I threw away more than half of my dinner which is infuriating. In this neighborhood there are a few Middle Eastern restaurants so I want to try each of them. Most are decent. This one - not great. I ordered the Shwarma dinner. Shwarma - sauce - fries. I asked for the fries to be well done. They were not even close. They were mushy and flavorless. I threw almost the entire order away. The sauce for the shwarma tasted like sour cream with less flavor. The shwarma was like moist cat food in wheat tortllla. They did have this little ramiken of pickled vegetables that was pretty good. The people there seem nice. They are building a community - which is awesome. I just wish the food tasted better. Also - and this is just a courtesy - they are charging half a buck to use my card. They pay about 15 cents for me to use the card so they make a small profit every time someone uses a card. So - there is much better shwarma about an 8-minute walk away. We were able to try out Alasala shortly after its opening. Apparently it was just a soft opening for now, as only a few menu items were available when we went. It's a standalone building with ample parking; it kind of looks like it used to be a bank with the drive-thru lanes. The interior was clean and spacious with plenty of natural light. It's a fast casual place, but the tables looked fancy. Service was decent. We ordered a steak shawarma meal, which came with fries and a drink. We also ordered a half-chicken rotisserie meal with rice. In hindsight, I wish we had ordered something with fried chicken like the zinger burger just to test out their fried chicken. The steak shawarma was excellent. Lots of flavor from the meat. The fries were decent; the seasoning on them was different than what I'm accustomed to. This dish included tahini sauce and something like a salsa, both of which were tasty. The rotisserie chicken was also pretty good. The white chicken part was kind of dry, but I think that's usually the case with rotisserie. The dark meat part was juicier and more flavorful. The skin was also crispy and flavorful. This dish also included some bread and a lemon wedge. Decent food overall, but I wasn't blown away. I'd like to try their fried chicken in the future. read more

well originally I wanted some Mexican burrito close to my house back in Hermosa but since I was in Tinley Park I did have a craving for shawarma and I didn't know that this place was also a franchise but only one here in bridgeview Illinois and the rest is in Jordan the country of Jordan. anyways I guess it's all right the way they serve their steak shawarma for it being Middle Eastern of Jordanian is much different from Israel but it was okay. they put cinnamon spice and they give you all these other sauces like cucumber sauce and another tangy sauce that I can't really describe the taste. the meal came with a drink and I took a vanilla cream. I didn't know I took chocolate cheesecake and I'm not a big fan of cheesecake but it was okay. I came in before dinner time and now it's starting to get busy before I head home. service was ambient as the staff member gave me also a free bottled water since I had cheesecake for dessert instead of getting water from the tap. So I was disappointed in coming here. I was hoping to find some pretty good food given appearance and all. How ever my food was fairly bland or one note and this is very unfortunate. The gentleman at the counter was nice but idk if it's the fact I'm heavy set or what but he offered one of their larger items to me... I got a halabi shawarma and a side of hummus they both were very much one note where the halabi only tasted of the garlic sauce. The hummus only tasted like chickpeas. I'd honestly question if they even use much seasoning with how my food tasted. I've cooked this food myself so it's sad to see it be so bland. I was only able to finish barely half my food as I don't eat much. I'm not sure if I'm going to even try reheat it later to finish it or just figure out a way to get rid of it. It apparently came as a meal as well with fries (which I don't care for) and a soda.
