With so many shawarma spots in the area, it's hard to pick the best, they truly are pretty good, but I will say that Hello Shawarma has the advantage because of the beshka sandwich. It's like the Arab version of a Philly sandwich. I'm not Jordanian/Palestinian so this sandwich is a totally new concept for me and we are in love with it. I also love their pickle station. Those peppers and the cauliflowers are my favorite pickles and to have access to all that is a dream. Sometimes I just stop by for the pickles. Then of course, the bowls are delicious as well. i've only been to the Bridgeview location. The place is bright yellow which gives it a nice family friendly feel. The service is fast and friendly, it's pretty casual. I got mine to go, the menu can be overwhelming but the wraps are really popular. I was apprehensive about the price for just the wrap being $12.99 but as you can see, the quantity is huge and it's well worth it. As for the shawarma, the wrap itself was kind of dry which means they didn't use a lot of oil (if any) to toast it. Which is fine but unfortunately i found the inside to be dry too. There is plenty of meat and veggies in the wrap, but the tahini based sauce gives it a dry feel that ends up muting out the big flavors. It is good and definitely leans more on the healthy side, but I haven't craved it since then. Overall not a bad option if you're really hungry and just want a solid wrap! read more

Holy smokes is this place busy! Stopped in to pick up some food to go & almost turned around because it was late and they were so busy! Ultimately decided to order, my son and I from the shawarma side, my husband ordered pad thai. My waited for a little over 5 minutes to order and it was chaotic inside because there's no real idea where the lines start or stop and lots of group of people lingering. Then we waited about 20 minutes for our food. I'm surprised to say, the pad thai was the best thing we had! The shawarma was dry and falafel were also unfortunately over cooked, we ended up throwing them away. The hummus was tasty and I'd bet if the shawarma wasn't so dry, it would have been tasty. Nice presentation on a wooden platter. They even gave latex gloves to eat with, as it can get messy. The mansaf was okay. The presentation was really nice, but it seemed to lack in flavor. However, that could be our fault; they provided a container full of some sort of white sauce, but we only drizzled a little bit of it over the food. The fries were awesome. As we entered one of the line workers greeted us with a friendly hello and offered to answer any questions we had. We each had a shawarma sandwich on pita. Our pitas arrived stuffed to the point of overflowing. I had the steak with all of the toppings plus a dollop of hummus and my son the chicken with pickles. We were both very happy with our meals.
