I been here twice and the food here is amazing! They have listed what's inside the food online, but for sure the vegan options are hummus, falafel, and two the salads Arabic and toubli (however you call it) and the rice ofc. I don't believe the pita is vegan, but other vegans said it is, not sure (just skip it but I could be wrong I'm better safe than sorry) Hummus is too good! you can order pick up online or delivery, or call to place a order. I was skeptical at first cause Mediterranean food usually have limited vegan options, but this place is impressive. Also can bring your friends or family. Ambiance - lots of seating read more

Came here to order a pita after trying out one of the free samples that the cashier gave me. The food here was really good though I was confused and how it all worked and operated since I've never ordered from this place before. Plenty of great vegan options too for those that are health conscious too. Prices here were very fair for what it was especially the portion size is given. The drinks were pretty expensive. Overall, I thought this place was above average for what it was read more

I tried Semsem couple of times and here is what I think. It's "Mediterranean" light. Looking at the menu this is more of a Middle Eastern place but the flavors are toned down and not very authentic. You will still enjoy the food but if you are looking for something more authentic, this place is not it. As for the service, its 50/50 depending on the time and the people working. I had a good experience once and the second time it was okay at best. read more

They caught our attention as they were giving out free samples in the food court. I liked it and decided to get the chicken shawarma wrap combo meal. The wrap itself was pretty good, nicely toasted and a good amount of chicken inside. I personally found it a little bit dry for my taste but nothing an extra side of garlic sauce didn't fix. Their fries were delicious, perfectly soft and crunchy and they had a texture to it that really added to the taste. Very nice service and relatively quick, plus you can customize the food to your liking. I'd recommend trying them out! read more

Told him NO ONIONS repeatedly as he kept putting more onions on like crazy. Put 4 huge scoops of rice which filled the bowl. Hummus was milky like coffee creamer, the steak protein was so dry like it has been out for 2 days, and not much of it. And the plastic fork had the prongs melted. I have had other locations for many years and they are great. This was terrible!! read more

I was Intrigued by the Mediterranean look of the food but the taste knocked me off my high horse from thinking I knew what it was. WOW! I had the steak and chicken bowl and let me tell you, it was fresh and amazing in taste. It consisted of not only red onions diced up but of chicken and steak. I wouldn't think that combination would work but it does. Tomatoes were friesh and I believe it had some sort of fluffed up rice. Very good in texture but very good in look also. The guy who served me my plate was meticulous in how he made it and for being a fast paced area, he took his time in how it was presented. When I asked him why he did it this way seeing as this is a fast paced mall, he simply said: If you like the presentation, the taste will bring you back since we eat with our eyes first. Wow, that was the right answer. He made sure I had not only my cutlery (plastic set of course) but that I had any condiment that would enhance the flavor. How thoughtful of him to think outside of the box for someone who is new to this restaurant/kiosk at the end of the mall. I was happy as well as content with the food and I have already gone back 4 times. Never disappointed. Try them out and you will see. read more

I noticed this place because they were giving samples of a new wrap that they made and it was so good!! So me and my friend got the wrap they were advertising. The workers there are really nice and they were getting quite a bit of business as we were there too, even Uber eats orders. The wrap left me full, so it is very filling. My friend also tried their falafel and said it was good as well. And the price was amazing!! read more

The food is totally overpriced and not worth it!! Service is okay as one of the two times i've gone (as i think every restaurant should get a second chance) i got a nice servicing sir. Although the second time a girl took my order and was rolling her eyes when i asked for the spicy rice, not sure why. So we have to go into Chicago twice a month (work thing), and I always make sure to stop for shwarma. I once lived in Ottawa, Ontario, the capital of Canada, which was more of a patchwork quilt than melting pot. Near the center of the city was an open market for goods from around the world surrounded by culinary restaurants from all the world's options. My favorite place to go was a Lebanonees place who had the upright skewers of beef, chicken, and something else. I was dubious at first but tried it with the garlic sauce and pickles to go with my steak shwarma. It was love at first taste. I had never tasted anything so delicious in my life. Since moving back from Canada decades ago, I've searched for that perfect shwarma that excites my pallet like the one in Ottawa. All I had found was cheap imitations or something that wasn't even a shwarma, until I found SemSem. They always wear gloves from what I've seen, the food is as authentic as that Lebanese restaurant 20 years ago, and the wonderful woman who's always behind the counter putting the food together. She remembered us I think by our 3rd visit, and you don't need to see her mouth to know she's truly happy to see you and smiling a genuine smile. She's always fast moving and every movement in the making of the shwarma wrap is practiced'm, fast, and perfect every time. If ever you want amazing Mediterranean food, go here, you won't find anything better closer than Canada, and the wonderful woman who works up front (who's name I've forgotten) will certainly brighten your day. But don't forget the baklava, one of the best I've ever had and definitely the best in over a decade. But seriously, check them out, amazing food, amazing people, amazing place, and all tucked into a tiny place next to the movie theater entrance. read more

By far best the Middle Eastern food we've had. We live out of state and eat here at least a couple of times each trip in. Friendly staff, clean and freshly made! We get the falafel wraps. Try with the red cabbage salad. Vegan and vegetarian-friendly go to spot. Don't forget to grab a Vimto, Shani or basil seed drink. Fries are amazing too. Best food ever! read more

They don't mind making a New Patch of Falafels so its always Hot and Yummy. Can't forget to add Spicy peppers, pickles to your Sandwich or Wrap even the Rice Bowls. read more

It was our first we came here. The food was good but the employees was rude. We don't know the menu and trying to figure out we we going to order. We ordered make your own, It means whatever we want to put on our meal. Instead of suggesting, one employee make us feel that we are dumb and telling us to what to put on not mannered way. The most thing I hated the most is that one of the employee cat calls 2 girls by whistling. This is the most rudest place I ever have and never coming back again. Have some respect especially you have a girl that is working there. read more

SemSem is definitely a hidden jewel in the Chicago Ridge Mall. This restaurant is located in the back of the mall by the entrance/exit door in Food Court; across from the theatre. I have also turned my work friends on to this restaurant and they love it too. You should try it as well. Estemta (Enjoy). read more

I absolutely love this place. The ingredients are always fresh, and delicious. Great place to have a health conscious, great tasting meal. I always get the chicken Shawrma. I like it left under the griller a little longer, for that little bit of a crunch at each bite. You get to choose 5 different "fresh" ingredient condiments. "The food is very, very tasty!" The owner, as well as the employees are always very professional, and pleasant. "Try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed!" read more

My favorite restaurant ever. They have the most amazing mediterranean food. As a vegetarian there are so many options and the staff is always super nice and welcoming. Oh my god. If you're looking for authentic shawarma this is the place. Great food, quick delivery, definitely ordering from here again! The mark of a good Mediterranean restaurant for me is the quality of the falafel, which too often is dry and bland. Not the case here, it was light, fluffy, well-spiced and moist. The fries and chicken shawarma were also tasty, and the portions were generous for the price. read more

I'm sorry but you guys are overpriced compared to the Rice and shawarma you put, and you charge 3$ for extra shawarma when you barely put any in the first place, Not gonna lie the food is very good but i went to Panda Express next to you and they gave me a big Bowl of rice and chicken w noodles & it still came out cheaper than the shawarma plate i ordered from you. read more
