such an affordable dining option in Hyde Park!!!! The portions are giNORmous and the food comes out so hot and fast. I'm always so excited when the Nile caters events on campus because you already know it's gonna hit but you guys should check out the actual restaurant too. It's bright and the conversation fills up the room to the high ceilings. I always share the Mezze, an appetizer sampler, and any of the meat dishes are so juicy and yummy tbh. Truly a Hyde Park gem!

Among the best Mediterranean food around is located on 57th in Hyde Park in this awesome establishment. It always has had great service and food. Nile is a longtime favorite among locals and students. Maybe prices are kind of high on some things, but for around here they aren't bad. There's lots of healthy food for meat eaters and vegetarians alike and most people here should be happy. Got here recently and had lunch. It wasn't too busy in spite of it being in the middle of the week and UC students all around the place. The service was pretty fast too. I wanted to get a lot more but of course, budget. We had the Hummus. It's $5 for the appetizer. This is creamy and garnished with paprika. Good stuff and even though the portion wasn't large we got satisfied anyway. I had the Falafel Sandwich. This is $7.50 and is a pretty good size. Has many good things to choose from. It has quite a few meaty entrees but there's plenty that are not. This has some great things for vegans and vegetarians.

I love the food here especially the Shish Taouk Chicken. The portion to price ratio is great- it's essentially two meals.

Anyone know what sauce they give with the falafel appetizer?

Pretty sure it's tahini, not yogurt sauce.

There's even a community board towards the bathroom, which gives this spot a community-based vibe. It's a quick, casual spot with several tables open for grabs when people leave. I got a traditional everything bagel w cream cheese to start the day, which had the RIGHT amt of cream cheese. Sometimes places give wayy too much, ruining the exp. I also ordered their popular Sumac Chicken sandwich on their Dutch Crunch bread, which was really good!! The bread had a slight sweetness to it that was satisfying and the flavors altogether were soo yummy. I waited ~12 min for my order, since they were rightfully packed. No outside food/drinks allowed if you're grabbing a table to eat. There's WiFi and a restroom in the back. Lots of neighborhood regulars. Bonus points that their food is halal for those w dietary restrictions. Great neighborhood spot!!

We ordered our drinks first and scanned the menu to see what we'd like. I'd definitely recommend taking your time and looking through the options because everything sounded so good. We ended up getting the turkey avocado and sumac chicken both on Dutch crunch and omg we destroyed those sandwiches. The sandwiches are pretty big which justified the price but I do think my drink (Italian soda) was definitely overpriced. The mayo that is used on the sandwiches is delicious and pairs really well with that Dutch crunch baguette. I would highly recommend heading to Cafe 53 on a chill day, grabbing a sandwich (Dutch crunch required!), and sitting out on the patio.

Becoming immersed with wrap around aquariums and what not makes for an invigorating evening, plus steaks. You can upload pics and they will share in celebrating your occasion on the walls, which is cool. Happy greeters and servers. I have not tried the prime cuts of meat yet. I did try other items, however. Their nihari was legit. Their butter chicken was also very good, no sweetness thank goodness. Whenever I order chicken boti, I expect like 7 overly colored pieces with no seasoning. Their botis are large, many, marinated, and enough to feed 4 people. Biryani was pretty good and generous in quantity. Note, you will find "khade masale" (pieces of cinnamon stick, cardamom, whole cloves, etc) in it. Their fries, though listed as zaatar fries, were truffle fries, and daggone delicious. Knowing that frontier chicken is pretty bell-peppery, I ordered it anyway. It was raw bell peppery and just ok. Oh, the soup that is brought to you basically tastes like Campbell's vegetable soup with black pepper, I feel it isn't necessary. I liked the spice level, bravo for not taming the entrees. My summer solcai lemonade was just lemonade. The sunset blush and golden haze mocktails were yummy. For dessert, I loved my badam kheer. The rose petal garnish and almonds made it shine. Gulab jamun was hot and delicious. You get 3 fyi. The banana pudding cake slice is ginormous and if you like that flavor, you'll like the cake. You pay at the cashier. We were seen off very nicely. Hey man, if your eyeballs need stimulation, The Halal Steakhouse, brings an immersive ambiance to you, along with well presented food. You should try it at least once. I'm trying it twice.

Stylish Fulton Market Brunch with Great Food and Service…read more Booked brunch for two on OpenTable at Aba in Fulton Market, and it's easy to see why this spot is so popular. The space is beautiful--open, bright, full of natural light, and stylish without feeling overdone. We ordered the Short Rib Shakshuka, which was flavorful with just a hint of spice and a generous portion size. The warm, soft pita served alongside was perfect for dipping. The Steak and Eggs was also excellent--the steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, and the fried potatoes were a standout: crispy on the outside while still moist and tender inside. Portion sizes were just right. We also tried both of the recommended brunch cocktails, and they were strong, flavorful, and well balanced. Service from Mike was great--friendly, efficient, and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, Aba delivered a polished and enjoyable brunch experience. Highly recommend, and based on what we tasted, I'd absolutely come back to try dinner.

We ordered the grilled chicken kebab along with the tuna and watermelon. The chicken was moist and well-cooked, but the tuna and watermelon dish was disappointing.
