It was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and one of the best eggplant dishes I've had in a long time. Another highlight was their large steamed dumplings, similar in spirit to pierogi but distinctly Uzbek. They were generously filled with lamb, perfectly cooked, and incredibly satisfying. It was busy with people who clearly knew and appreciated the cuisine, including many Eastern European and Central Asian diners, which always feels like a good sign.
