We asked an employee at Parlor Donuts where a good place to eat in the area would be. He suggested CAVA. Plenty of items to choose from and being that we'd never been here before we were asking for the employees opinions on what they liked most. Jasmine was the individual who was most friendly and building our bowls. WOW. The flavors of everything (except the Black Lentils - not a fan). Everything looked so appealing. Our bowls were large and filled. I bet two people could share one bowl (but we didn't). We also got drinks. I grabbed the Tangerine Aleppo and he got the Lemonade. I didn't mind mine, but he didn't care for his. The ice machine didn't work either. I only got a few pieces. We dined in and there is plenty of seating for dining in or on the patio. The meal was delicious and the staff was nice. This place is a hot spot and was steady with customers the whole time we were there. I was given the incorrect receipt so I cannot confirm what they would have called our meals or if we were charged correctly. Even after being asked if we wanted it right after paying. This is my new fav place for a rice bowl! We were contemplating between Chipotle and Naf Naf grill but decided to try Cava instead. Best decision ever! The ingredients are fresh and so healthy! The beluga beans were a nice surprise, my first time eating it. I also absolutely loved the cucumber lime drink, so refreshing. I think this is going to be our go-to place to grab a quick meal going forward. read more

CAVA used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but after eating there, I became extremely sick and have been throwing up and feeling horrible since. I can't say for certain that it was food poisoning, but the timing is very concerning to me. Choose pita or a bowl, with a variety of bases (veggies and rice), GREAT meat options (try the new harissa honey chicken!) and a bunch of clean, whole toppings, like roasted corn, and more. I liked that this place had a very easy to use website. I also liked that I could customize my bowl, a Greek "Subway." They had a bunch of house drinks that looked good. I tried the Strawberry one. My food was ready on time. The inside looked clean. I will definitely order here again. read more

My one complaint is that they seemed to be understaffed or something like that. I online ordered for a pick up time of 2:15 and I didn't get my order until 3:25. As I was waiting I heard several other people say they were still waiting for their 1:45 order and how it had been over an hour. Their drink machine was also out of ice and at some point they completely ran out of white rice and a guy came out to ask if anyone wanted brown rice instead. When asked how long the white rice would take they couldn't give an answer. One woman took him up on the offer and they sent out another staff member like 10 minutes later to ask the same thing later and she had to repeat that she wanted the rice swap even when the first man assured her that her order was being made. At some point, the wait became so long for me that I went to sit down and I noticed the tables were not clean at all. It obviously isn't on the staff and I'm sure they're trying their best but they definitely need more workers. The in-person line was also pretty long and moves slowly. Moving on to my actual order, my bag was missing utensils and they had accidentally give me a blondie instead of a brownie. The blondie tasted like scrambled eggs. I will say, my actual bowl was well seasoned and delicious. Perhaps, I'm just saying that because I'm so hungry after waiting so long. I do wish they had filled my bowl up a little higher though. So all in all, I definitely wouldn't recommend this place for a quick in and out. read more

Visited this location recently and did not have a good experience. First, the price vs value was not good. Two adults and two small kids cost $77 for two bowls, some pita chips and two kids meals with two kids drinks. At that price, you're better off at a sit down restaurant. More importantly, the place was dirty with food on the floor, no knives or straws (apparently they ran out) and no one tending to the dining room area despite a large number of customers. I have been to other locations in Atlanta and it was a significantly better experience. read more

i don't eat fast food too often and honestly i've been so spoiled from the food in the city that nothing really tastes good in the burbs anyways. the only fast food place i normally enjoy is chipotle but they have gone completely downhill and are always inconsistent with quality. to preface this i was so excited when cava became a thing downtown- i never got a chance to try it when i was living closer to the city and ended up moving back home to the burbs so when this location popped up a couple months ago i was super excited. i've been here 3-4 times since they've opened. last week i ordered from them 3 different times lol first of all you get what you pay for- my bowl is always loaded and everything tastes super fresh and of quality. CHIPOTLE COULD NEVER. i love a steak bowl with all the toppings + tzakiki sauce, harissa, and garlic sauce. i usually don't end up eating the entire thing and half plenty of leftovers the next day which is a win win. now on another note THE PITA CHIPS ARE UNREAL. i tried them for the first time last week and had to get two orders the next time i went lol. they're amazing i get the sour cream and onion ones. i've also tried the chocolate chip cookie which was okay but wouldn't try again. other than that i actually love this location- i haven't been to the other ones but i always think this location is super clean, everyone is extremely friendly and accommodating, and my order is never poorly made or skimped out on even when i order pick up through the app. (yes we're side eyeing you chipotle) they should just bulldoze the chipotle next door idk how anyone still goes there- whenever i see people in there i question if just not enough people know what cava is so they just don't even know a gold mine is sitting literally right next door. i love you cava never change read more

We come to CAVA regularly because we really enjoy the food -- it's one of our favorite spots. However, yesterday night, I asked one of the ladies on the line, Natasha, if I could get a falafel as an extra topping on the side. She looked at me, threw the utensils down, and walked away without saying anything or coming back. I'm not sure what happened, but it felt very rude and uncomfortable. That said, Katherine and Julián were very attentive and kind afterward, which we really appreciated, especially after that awkward moment. Malcolm also gave us free bowls, which was a generous gesture and helped turn the experience around. We truly like this place and hope to continue coming, but we do hope moments like that don't happen again. read more

Love us some Cava! My husband and I used to go to cava when we lived in the city so we were pretty excited a location opened up so close to us in the burbs. The line at this location is pretty long and understandably so since it's so new here. The line also doesn't move too fast but honestly, the workers in the back were hustling. It's basically a Mediterranean chipotle. You can order a bowl or a pita and then add a base (either grains, salad, or both). Then you get to choose dips/spreads and can choose up to three. The main is either meat, falafel or veggies. The toppings is my favorite part and it's unlimited selection. And then you end off the bowl with sauces of which you can choose two. It's a very casual place to either dine in or carry out. Overall love cava and can't wait to come back read more

Cava is a really good place to eat and is good for all ages. I really liked the crispy falafel bowl, the harissa avocado bowl and the falafel crunch pita. The restaurant is also very clean. The service is pretty good and polite. The only thing I didn't like was the quantity of the bowls at this steep price point. I feel that they should put more ingredients in the bowls. But overall Cava is a great place to eat and I may come back again. read more

Horrendous experience, ordered the harissa avocado bowl which ended up being a bowl of rice and spinach as they were out of all the other ingredients, still got charged the full price though. I did end up putting some veg on the top but they were so bathed in vineger, that even loading up on the tsasiki sauce muted the flavor, might as well have just guzzled a bottle of vinegar, would have been the same culinary experience. Choked down about a third of this catastrophe with a couple of severely overly sodium encrusted pita chips. read more

I love the cava in downtown Chicago- don't let a cute suburban one fool you. I walked in and asked for white rice on my bowl, the girl said 5 minutes. that turned into 20 minutes and eventually the manager came around and said the girl was mixing the rice and it would be another 5. it ended up taking 40 minutes total and when I complained a worker said "white and brown rice taste the same anyways. please do not come here if you are hungry because you will wait. I walked in at 8:40 and left at 9:35. not to mention the rice was severely undercooked and hard and stale. definitely ruined cava for me. read more

Tried CAVA in Bolingbrook for the first time and it did not disappoint! We ordered online for dinner and the food was ready right on time. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We tried the Floral Crunch Bowl and the Chicken + Garlic Bowl -- both were absolutely delicious. The veggies were crisp, the toppings were fresh, and the falafel was moist and perfectly seasoned.
