    Classic bowl with chicken
    Katie N.

After a hike nearby, looking for a healthy lunch option, found Cerrito on Yelp. The customer service was super friendly. The menu was pretty straightforward. Bowls had either a rice or green base. Bowls could also be ordered as a wrap. There is an upcharge to add chicken, steak, or tofu. I'm glad I ordered with chicken. It made the bowl more filling. They also serve pepsi products and teas. The bowl had a lot of sauce. I would ask for less sauce, but other than that, it was a great lunch experience.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now and im so glad I finally did! Placed an online order and I reached 10 minutes before my pickup time and the food was already ready! Super fast and staff was helpful! I got the tikka bowl and chicken for protein with a mango salsa on the side. I absolutely loved the bowl! Good portions and felt healthy! The only thing I'll say is I wish there was a bit more tikka sauce, as it felt kind of dry. Other than that this place was so good and I'll definitely be coming back to try the rest of their bowls!

I love me a grain bowl, so I was eager to try Currito! I've heard good things about the chain from friends, but have never been myself. I am a frequent visitor to other healthy food chain options, so I wanted to understand the difference between Currito and competitors. I'm happy to report that both the food and this location were a great experience! During this time, I've been especially appreciative of drive-thru food and drink places. I came through and ordered the Bangkok bowl with tofu, which was absolutely delicious! The ingredients were not doused in sauce, nor did they skimp on the protein. I was handed my food by a gentleman wearing a mask and gloves! It looked like everyone working was wearing gloves and a mask as well, despite the place not having too many visitors around the time I went (~1 PM), which is a great sign of their ethics. The ingredients in the bowl were obviously fresh, and I had so much in my bowl it could have doubled for another meal later. The next time I visit, I would love to try a smoothie or a salad. The staff was super friendly and seemed excited about the opening, so I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Out here in deepest Suburbia, sometimes things present a vaguely Disneyesque artifice, where, if…read morethe fantasy world was more advanced, "Quotation Marks" would appear magically in the air around buildings (and, alas, people) indicating irony should be applied as a mitigating factor. This is not to imply in any way those places (or people) are therefore any less in quality or to be avoided. But I digress... I've driven past the "Paris Bistro" here, since it was established, and, unfairly thought "yeah, right". Why? Route 59 is a 1000% American Commerce Zone, rife with every franchise on the docket, and conformity is securely on the menu. And rightly so. Folks out here may have had their success, but they were raised in front of American TV, and their consumer habits developed accordingly, especially with regard to cuisine and eating habits. There are, of course, bona fide Ethnics in the general area, but those are germane to the Communities in residence. (Some FAB Chinese, Indian and Mexican places-q.v.) I am not aware of a burgeoning French settlement anywhere nearby. Around here "Cooper's Hawk" passes for "fine dining", and if you've ever fine-dined, you'll know Cooper's Hawk may parlay a decent feed, but it ain't Alinea, Bubba. In the far Western and Southwestern Chicago 'burbs, folks' Culinary tastes are as conservative as their politics. So whither "Paris Bistro"? It's a handsome suburban building with inviting signage. When you walk in, you pass a bar having an impressive array of boozes. Keep going west past the bar and you're in a room mimicking a rural setting, if a rural setting had curved leather banquettes. There's a more traditional dining room on the other side of the bar, but I didn't go in there. It was daytime, and bright, but when daylight ebbs, I'll bet both rooms are romantic. The service is reserved and accommodating-you're not going to find a wisecracking "Alice" on the staff. The menu actually is pretty accurate as a French Bistro in the USA. Lots of Français on it (in the titles), but the descriptions are all clear English. You don't have translation to fear. The menu is extensive, and features many traditional "Bistro" faves, along with select "American" choices. I was in for Brunch. Disregarding conformity, I ordered the Escargot for Hors D'oeuvre, not that I wanted to, but because I am pathologically incapable of NOT ordering Escargot if they are on the menu before me. They were yum, but I wish there was a softer bread available for sopping the buttery-garlic goodness remaining after the morsels are consumed. As "they" say, a French Chef is judged by their prowess in cooking a simple Omelette, so that's where I went. "Jambon et Gruyere" to be exact. It wasn't a large beast, but it was tasty, light, and properly prepared. No sign of the Rugby-Ball pancake-batter-enhanced behemoth omelettes you'll find in common Coffee shops. Accompanying was a (very) small salad of nice composition, with just enough fruity vinaigrette to satisfy. Also on the plate were tasty and ultra-crispy "shoestring fries". I'm not a slave to potatoes with breakfast. but these were damned good. The problem at hand (so to speak) was the transport from plate to mouth, as they were very thin and very crisp. Both fork and spoon were inefficient. I thought of using the spoon to crush them, thus rendering spoon a contender to preserve my dining decorum. In the end, I bit the bullet and just picked them up in hand, decorum be damned. I wish I had a bucket of these for movie-watching snacks at home. The coffee was a conundrum. It arrived with a strongish smell, like it was burnt and past its prime, but lacked the acrid flavor such as found in a forlorn brew. It was actually a fine, bold, cup of VERY dark roast. It's a nice, sophisticated (but not snooty) resto, dignified but not stuffy. If you need to have a business breakfast/brunch, this is a perfect place. Also, if you're not in the mood for the hustle and bustle of a noisy coffee shoppe. Prices a bit higher than you might expect, but... I quite enjoyed both the bread and circuses here, and while I never mistook myself from being anywhere else than in Naperville (not Paris), I caught the vibe, and it was nice. I am officially pissed at myself for not stopping here sooner. No "quotation marks" for this place. Throwing 4 stars (for now), and I'll be back here very soon for dinner.

That room is usually where they sit families. It was not our choice and we voiced our opinion to sit in the dining room. The staff immediately switched everything to the warm and inviting dining room. The food provided was tasty from the mini sandwiches to the tartines to the sweet treats. I have to say there was an inconsistency with sizing. Some were generous and some were lacking. They could've done a better job with consistency so we all got the same sizes. The tea service was very cute but you were only able to choose a couple teas. I've been to other teas at Suzette's and Pinecone Cottage where the tea is unlimited, as well as they ask if you would like another tasting of something that you really liked. I felt for the money this tea service was limited as well as not consistent. It was a great way to spend time with my Pilates friends, though. I could see myself doing this again if there were improvements made and they were more generous by offering an additional taste.

I recommend getting a beer flight to try different flavors. Or once you find something like you (for me, it was the Brightfire) then you can get a pint! Their beer list is extensive, there are so many taps to try and they have some seasonal beers too. Their food was good and surprisingly gourmet. Each time I came here I ordered their wings because they were irresistible. You can even do half-half sauce for an order of six wings, which I appreciated because not all resistances will do this special request. It also shows that their wings are freshly prepared, and their kitchen went above and beyond to make a customer happy. I love their hot honey and buffalo. My husband has tried their patty melt and their Reuben sandwich. Nothing beats a brewery with nice people, great beers, and the gourmet food was just the cherry on top. They have a ton of space inside, don't let the strip mall entrance deceive you; bar seating, high tops, low tops, and a whole other dining area in the back if you want a quieter space. They have something similar to trivia on a weeknight, survey slam (?), and now that it's warmer, their patio is open! Some folks have mentioned slower service, but each time we've been here, we were well taken care of. I'm a huge fan of Hopvine!

The order was big enough to share. The counter person was very nice, and answered all of our questions. The sandwiches took about 10 minutes. The one major downside to this place was that it was very unkempt. The napkin holders and table tents on the tables were filthy. The windows were covered in smudgy fingerprints. I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years, visiting about three times a month, and I always order the same thing: the Famous Chicken Gyro (#14, no tomatoes) with a fresh, made-to-order sack of fries. Until now, I have never had a problem. On 12/15 at approximately 5:10 PM, I came in and ordered my usual and dined in. When I bit into the gyro, after getting past the honey mustard, the chicken was hard, crusty, and completely dried out--clearly overcooked from sitting too long on the rotisserie. While disappointing, I didn't make a big deal out of it. I finished my fries, which were still hot and fresh, and calmly showed the cashier the gyro. I spoke quietly and respectfully and explained that the chicken wasn't good. She was polite and said they would remake it. I thanked her several times and explained that I normally don't complain, but I was hungry and on a short lunch break. I asked if I could take the replacement to go since I was running late. As I grabbed my jacket and returned to the counter, I overheard the cashier telling the two cooks something along the lines of, "It's not like that--he's a nice guy and comes here all the time." I took this as her trying to explain that I wasn't trying to get free food, just that the gyro had been poorly prepared. When I returned to work and opened the replacement gyro, I was shocked. There was a broom bristle placed inside the chicken gyro, hidden under a large amount of honey mustard. I have spent a significant amount of money at this business over the years, and I am beyond angry and disappointed. Putting what appears to be a dirty broom bristle--used to clean floors--into a customer's food is unacceptable, unsanitary, and malicious. Because of how this was handled and how I was treated, I will never return. I am filing complaints and sharing this experience publicly so others are aware. This is not about a bad gyro--it's about employee behavior and food safety, and I hope ownership takes this seriously.
