Refreshing and delicious! My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday AM for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The hours on the Yelp page are incorrect. They actually open at 8am and not at 9am. Nautical Bowls is on the smaller side, seats about 10-15 people. It is kept clean and seems to be more of a place where people grab their order and go. I decided to create my own bowl and chose the pitaya and mango base. I added the honey oatmeal granola, strawberries, and blueberries for my toppings. It was the ideal amount of sweet and refreshing. Perfect on a summer day! Service was quick, it only took about 5 mins for everything to be completed. They do have a rewards program, I recommend signing up if you plan to be frequent. My 1 con is this was pricey. For 2 small bowls our total was $25.

I'm from Southern California so acai bowls are a staple over there. Stopped by this place with a friend who recommended it and it did not disappoint! They have premade bowls that you can choose from or you can make your own bowl. There are 3 sizes to choose from: dinghy (12 oz), cruiser (16 oz), or yacht (24 oz). I chose cruiser and to build my own. You can choose unlimited bases and toppings (some toppings are an extra charge). I did the acai and pitaya base and for toppings I got granola, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, goji berries, cacao nibs, pumpkin seeds, and honey. Everything was super fresh and light and perfect for beating the heat. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in town!

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience at Nautical Bowls. I am an açaí bowl lover and I have such a hard time finding places that make it how I like it! My biggest pet peeve is when an açaí bowl, or any smoothie bowl for that matter, isn't made fresh and I can actually taste the pre-packaged fruit mix. This was definitely NOT the case here. Everything was made completely from fresh in house ingredients, and all of their ingredients are naturally dairy free, gluten free so I didn't have any issue needing to substitute ingredients. I chose to build my own bowl. You get to choose a base for $7 and I went with pitaya and mango, but they also had spirulina, açaí and much more. From there you add on toppings for $1 each, so I did strawberries, blueberries, honey, honey oat granola, and almond butter. I honestly couldn't leave the parking lot without trying it and ended up sitting there eating the whole thing. It was so fresh, naturally sweet, and filling. I absolutely loved it. I'm excited to go back into the shop and order more variations. The staff was super sweet as well

i love that you can make your own bowl. i think the prices are a bit high but after you have your first bite it makes sense. i wish more people knew about this place its delicious!! the workers are also so friendly.

Super cute new restaurant in Naperville! I really loved the açaí bowls and found them really easy to share with my friend. The portion sizes are huge for the price and I love the variety of toppings. They have an option to build your own bowl as well which is really convenient if you want to customize one of their specialty bowls. The staff here are all very friendly as well, and I will be back soon

This place was incredibly clean and well decorated. I loved the coastal feel and simple nautical touches. The workers were pleasant and the bowls themselves were delicious!

This is a new place that just opened up, it's a small place in the Geneva Commons, but SO good. Everything is gluten and dairy free (even the granola). They have so many different flavors to choose from for your base unlike most places just have açaí as their base. They make their own peanut and almond butter, it's freshly made per order, and it's fantastic. I usually get their smallest size but even that's really big, so you're getting your money's worth. I highly recommend this place!

Service was super friendly and welcoming, the interior is clean, bright, and beach themed. They were able to recommend some popular bowls and helped to describe the flavor profile of each. We ended up getting the Nauti Bowl and Sunrise Bowl. I've always loved acai bowls but now I'm in love with pitaya and blue majik. The pitaya is so refreshing and fruity while the blue majik is like pina colada. If you want something fruity get the Sunrise Bowl! These bowls are like getting a scoop of fruity gelato topped with fresh fruits, gronola, honey, and more. So the consistency is thick, rich, and refreshing. While the price point is steep, they claim to be organic superfoods, all natural, dairy free, gluten free, and nutritious. So hopefully you're getting a bang for your buck with quality ingredients.

I've been meaning to stop here for the longest time but don't live very close to where this is located. I finally stopped by because I was in the neighborhood and I'm SO glad I did. The ambience is super beachy/California/surfer, but it's bright, airy and clean. The tables are made out of mini surf boards which I thought was super cute. There's a wide variety of pre-made bowls you can choose from or you can make your own from scratch. I opted for the 12oz Sail bowl and it was so good, and proportionally it was more than enough. The two girls who worked at the counter were extremely sweet as well. Everything is made fresh to order and you can even order online and pickup if you're in a hurry! Sign up for their rewards program before coming in because you'll get a second bowl for free. The next time I'm in the area again I'll definitely be stopping by.

I went to Nautical Bowls twice and both times was pretty underwhelmed. the store is really cute though, with a beachy vibe, and has pretty nice service, but paying around $11-$13 for just one bowl is honestly a bit crazy. the bases of the bowls were pretty icy both times I went, and I would sometimes get just a big chunk of frozen base. the chia base lacked flavor, so did the acai but when I ordered the base it was running out so it probably just wasn't the freshest. the pitaya base was also pretty overwhelmingly sweet, which was surprising since the other bases weren't that sweet. the best base was definitely Blue Majik though, I reccomend! On the other hand, the toppings were really fresh and delicious. Ultimately, I don't think I can justify the $11+ on a small bowl of fruit. i would say that getting the acai bowls would be more an experience thing rather than a taste

I was fortunate enough to make it over to Nautical Bowls for its grand opening. Good timing, as I had recently gotten into bowls. This place is located at Gartner & Washington in a corner spot of the plaza, directly across from Succulent Seafood. Parking isn't great in this strip, but there's a bigger parking lot you can use where people park for Trader Joe's, etc. The interior had a fun nautical theme (obviously) and felt bright, but it is small and there's limited seating (two tables and a counter with stools). The menu of signature bowls has enough variety. Each bowl has a sorbet base and may be topped by a variety of toppings including banana, strawberries, granola, chia pudding, nuts, and/or seeds. You can even add toppings to a predetermined bowl. Thankfully they offer three sizes for their bowls. I got the smallest one called Dinghy for $10, but it was plenty enough for my wife and me. I was debating between Sota Bowl and Blue Bay Bowl, but the owner talked me into the latter after I said I like coconut. This bowl was topped with coconut butter crumbles; not much, but it had a nice, rich flavor. Overall the bowl was pretty tasty with its three sorbet layers, banana, and coconut. Even my wife liked it. However, the bowls I had at Thrive Up and Owl and Lark were more flavorful. For example, the granola in the Nautical bowl was kind of bland. Plus, the Thrive Up bowl had added protein. Still, I'd like to go back and try Sota at Nautical. This is a nice summer treat and a healthier alternative to ice cream. Definitely worth a try if you've never had an açaí bowl or something similar.

This place is FANTASTIC. I'm a huge fan of smoothie/açaí bowls and this place has GOT IT. Try the vanilla chia pudding with coconut base. So good! Also the fact they grind their own nuts is phenomenal and makes it fresh, healthier, and tastier! The girls behind the counter who helped me yesterday were very pleasant and cool, and the ambience is bright and clean, which is appreciated! Tip: if you can't eat your whole bowl, it is EXTREMELY good the next morning if you store in the FRIDGE, not the freezer. It becomes this delectable mush similar to a gooey cookie or a crumble topping on a dessert.
