I was dehydrated, exhausted, and in desperate need of revival. I ordered a protein shake, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that thing brought me back to life. A few sips in and suddenly I could feel my soul returning to my body. It was cold, creamy, packed with protein, and exactly what I needed after sweating out what felt like 40% of my body weight. The atmosphere was just as refreshing as the shake. Everything was super clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and everyone I interacted with was genuinely nice. Bonita Bowls might officially be a smoothie and bowl place, but at that moment it was basically an emergency medical facility. I walked in barely functioning and walked out feeling like I might actually survive my life choices.
