Shawarma Express is an excellent 10 stars place to have a top quality meal anytime. We each tried the lunch special Chicken kufta kabob and it didn't disappoint. The kabobs were full of flavor and generously portioned. The rice pilaf that accompanied the special was fluffy packed with flavorful. We had to come back to try the lamb shank and the lamb chops dinners. You can order anything on their menu anytime of day lunch or diner! You don't need to go anywhere else for a very high end meal- it's here and very economical! All the food is halal, cooked fresh, generously portioned and full of traditional middle eastern flavors beyond what we imagined. The lamb- where do I begin? It was perfectly seasoned, as tender and delicious and the BEST IN THE AREA! We haven't had lamb this good since we left Greece. 10 stars! We also ordered falafel's that were crispy on the outside, perfectly sized and not a bit oily. Not overly seasoned and served piping hot! All the sauces; toum, tahini and the red sauce had their own authentic flavors. The red sauce was a wonderful blend of mint, cilantro, fresh ground tomato and herbs that gives additional flavor to the already excellent tender melt in your mouth lamb. Several great experiences we had coming here and will continue. Mohammed the owner takes special care and pride in the food. Alway great food and excellent service at Shawarma Express! I really want to try more of their foods, but I absolutely love the things I have tried and have a difficult time ordering anything different. They continue to be one of my favorite little cravings. I usually call in my order or order online and they always seem to have my order quicker than they estimate. I really love the flavor of their foods and especially the freshness. The staff are friendly and they seem to have a good grasp on how to efficiently manage a restaurant. Some days are busier than others, but I'm usually in and out if there when I call in my take out order. The dinning area is always clean which is a good sign for kitchen cleanliness. read more

The food is amazing. My first time there everything is made. Fresh flavor is on point. And I have had visited other places serving Shawarma and this one by far takes the cake. Falafel's are great. The combination plate is wonderful. Chicken is marinated and cooked so well not dried out. Lentil soup is phenomenal for those that like lentil soup. Fast friendly service. The fatoush was crunchy, fresh and delicious. The falafel sandwich is very tasty and comes with a spicy tomato sauce. I'll be sure to try the garlic sauce on my next visit! I used to beef with this establishment so much for messing up my orders, not delivering on time but as of last few years their food has been on point! Their combination always hits the spot. Its not a lot of food for the $$ but the quality and taste is always good! Their Hot sauce is so good! I ordered the mixed grill which had chicken and beef with rice and piece of pita, and a little salad but I also ordered the french fries everything was really good, hot, tasty, not too spicy, it did have a spice but the flavor overall was really good it was definitely worth the price.. Pretty disappointed in my first delivery experience here. Ordered 4 meals via Door Dash and only received 2 of them, so naturally we didn't start off on a good note. I had the Chicken Shawarma salad and it was pretty bland and the value (portion size to cost and quality) wasn't there. For what you get, I think this place is a bit overpriced and overall wasn't the greatest. Shared the Shawarma Combo with my husband - It included salad, fresh pita, a heaping serving of rice, and lots of beef and chicken shawarma. They had a great garlic sauce to go with it. One dish was plenty for two for lunch to share and was only $10.99. The place was clean and has late night hours on Friday and Saturday. Ordered 3 sandwiches from here for takeout. The biggest wrong thing with the sandwiches is that they are in sweet tortilla bread. It doesn't go at all with the flavor of chicken shawarma, beef gyro or falafel. It's just wrong. The chicken itself was good, and the sauce and pickled were good. The gyro beef was not great, there wasn't any sauce in the sandwich and the added extras in it were not the usual for a gyro. It just wasn't good either. The falafel sandwich was the same. The flavors were all very subtle, the sandwich was dry and the tortilla bread again does not go well with any of these sandwiches. Why not use authentic bread? Why use Mexican tortillas? I usually don't write reviews but I've never had a worse experience at a restaurant before. I'm sure the food is good but the service I experienced was below average. I was in line with another person In front of me and after 20 minutes of waiting for someone to take our order (while the employees noticed we were there AND made eye contact with us). A man finally came to the register to say their kitchen will now be closed by the time we got our orders in now. We had both gotten there around 30-40 minutes before. I had seen others in front of us in line have their orders taken with no issues. But the employees watched us wait only to tell us AFTER we had waited that they're no longer taking orders. I get it if the kitchen is closed, but let the remaining people in line know so they won't waste their time. It isn't too much to ask and common courtesy. I would not recommend this spot based on this extremely poor service alone. read more

Cleanliness they didn't have dine-in due to COVID so it's hard to determine how they maintained the location. Ambience it's a place for a quick bite. There's no ambience at all. Service very friendly staff. All smiles and radiating with happy vibes. Pricing the sandwiches are pretty big for $7, you can make a combo meal for $10. It's pretty cheap. Taste I tried both chicken and beef shawarma. They both blew me away. I thought it was going to be bland and dry but it had a very flavor going on with their juicy meats. read more

Ordered the shawarma lunch special just before noon at $8 or so including tax. Restaurant had one other customer at the time I was there. Average size portion but mostly rice and much less actual shwarma. The beef or lamb shwarma wasn't as crispy as I like it and was ok. Chicken shwarma seemed over cooked. "Salad" was chopped romaine lettuce. Half a piece of pita and sauces were also included. I've had much much better mid eastern food in both the food quality and quantity categories and a person can do much better than here, which is average to below average. Pita Pita is just down the road and an example of somewhere that does mid eastern better. read more
