Stopped by this place after doing a few Pokémon raids. There was a line even though it was 70 and windy. We ordered a peanut butter shake and a sundae. Was offered a free slushie. Price was surprisingly good for the amount we got. My DH loved the shake. I thought the sundae was good, but OMG that grape slushie was the best thing I've had in ages! I'm going back just for that! I don't even like slushies usually. Think the last time I had one was in Kmart when I was in high school. My only complaint was the stupid people who thought revving their suped up cars and motorcycles in front of the place was the height of entertainment. Coolest place literally when in Aurora getting ice cream. Deri Delite is one of those classic ice cream stands. It has the familiar walk up window. Okay prices with most things within a couple of bucks. There's a few benches and tables. Basic menu of cool treats and hot eats. It's a long time local hangout in spring and summer. The menu has about what one expects with a few interesting additional things. Has some good prices to think about. It's about $2 for a slushie. There's basic flavors like blue raspberry and some more too. It's about $1 for a popsicle. You can get hot food too. Many greasy things like burgers, fries, and hot dogs. The seating area is kind of limited but there's usually enough unless it's packed. For sure it's one of the classic places around here to get ice cream. It's closed Mondays. They're one of those seasonal places that closes in winter. read more

I have always drove past Deri Delite and was always interested in trying them out. I'm glad I finally did before they close down for the season. I saw a facebook ad where they were showing off their new fall flavors- one which included a new pumpkin spice sundae. I saw it and immediately had to try it out. When I got there it wasn't crowded. I ordered a small and the man behind the counter was very nice. My sundae was ready in 2 minutes. They also offered me a free slushy (which I guess that comes with every purchase). I declined the slushy, but I'm sure they are great. The sundae was delicious. Which I wasn't sure how I would like pumpkin spice flavored ice cream but it was really tasty! So glad I finally decided to give deri delite a try. They will definitely see me again soon! read more

This is a hidden gem in Aurora during the summer. You get great customer service, ample parking, and generous portions of the sundaes. Staff was very kind when serving us. We got the strawberry shortcake and nutty sundae. Excellent quality ice cream, fresh ingredients, and the prices are cheap. They also give you a free slushie with every purchase. How I have I lived relatively nearby for 25 years and not known about this place??? I heard about it online recently and had to stop by. I bought their brownie in a cup and it was heaven for someone who loves turtle sundaes! Creamy ice cream layered with brownie pieces, caramel sauce, hot fudge, pecans and topped with whipped cream! It was so huge it ended up being my dinner! While you wait, they offer you a free slushie which is really nice, especially on a hot day! When I was there, there were all walks of life, construction workers, families and office workers stopping on the way home from work. I recently saw a post on "What's happening in Aurora" fb group stating they have one of the best soft serve's around. This peaked my interest, so a first time visit was on my radar. I found a long line which moved quickly. I was still a few customers back from the window, when I was waved to the additional window. I suspect that was due to the fact I was a solo customer? I ordered my favorite, a chocolate malt. They offered me a side of ice cream in the cup, to make it a boston style malt. I declined, as I enjoy a malt that can be enjoyed by a straw, vs a spoon.
