This spot along Rt 30 in Hinckley is a traditional stop for many families driving home after a weekend at Woodhaven Lakes. They have many frozen treats to choose from that hit the spot on a hot day as well as more substantial diner fare like cheeseburgers and fries. There is usually a line to order but it moves quickly. It has that clean and cute 1950's vibe and a great employer of teenagers. Our grandchildren love it. Good for kids and kids at heart.

In the middle of nowhere. Stopped for ice cream, shakes and a burger. Quick, clean and cute. Indoor and outdoor seating. Suppose they get busy in the summer with locals.

We used to stop at Dairy Joy on the way home from Sublette for burgers and ice cream. There is a walk up window outside and also the option to order inside. There are table inside and outside. Dairy Joy has been around for decades. They offer many food items, but the burgers and fries are by far the best. The service was friendly, food was great and, of course, we ended with ice cream that was delicious. You feel as if you stepped back into time, small town hospitality, with great food.

our cashier Evie B. Was very rude and would not let me get my words out every time I would say something she would say "Is that it" while I was talking. Also she filled my drink only half way and did not care.

    'Old School' as it gets.

'Time-Warp' Ice Cream Joint with all the fixins'. Two carry-out windows provide an opportunity for those needing a momentary 'Sugar Buzz', or some Classic Fried Chicken cooked to order. Old School as it gets... .

There's something about neighborhood ice cream places that bring me joy. Dairy itself, however, doesn't bring me much joy... just a little bit of tummy discomfort. So, Dairy Joy? A bit of an oxymoron for me. Thankfully, I was happy here. :) The place itself is pretty perfect: local, roadside ice cream/burger joint with a walk-up window and inside seating (if preferred). Located next to the railroad tracks, it makes for a pretty nostalgic location... especially when the local little league team is here after their Friday night game, running around in the grass and enjoying ice cream. My husband and I each got dipped vanilla cones: cherry for me, chocolate for him. They were the perfect kind of sticky, drippy cones (but not too messy) that goes along with warm summer nights. The menu also has assorted dairy treats, burgers, hot dogs, fries, sodas, the usual. The prices were higher than I expected (a little over $5 for both our small cones), but still much lower than an ice cream chain, and SO much better! If you find yourself out west of the 'burbs on Route 30, make Dairy Joy one of your stops!

This place is too cute! The people working here are super nice and friendly. There's a walk-up window to get a quick bite and also a dining area inside and outside to enjoy your snack/meal. I came here for milk shake, which comes in a variety of flavors that can be mixed and matched. I went with a medium strawberry banana shake $2.45 and was thick and delicious. You have the option of strawberry syrup or fresh strawberries. They use real banana in their shakes and I could taste the little chunks. The fried chicken here was also fantastic! For $4, I got a 2 piece chicken snack, which came with fries. The drumstick and the breast were lightly coated and cooked to perfection. Chicken takes about 20 minutes to make, but I wasn't in a hurry and had my shake to keep me occupied. There were tons of other items on the menu to choose from that I'll have to come back and try...burgers, hotdogs, fish, sandwiches, wings, sundaes, banana splits, etc. The pizza puff and the taco puff look good! There is one small bathroom inside.

Food was good and nice atmosphere. Liked the diner vibe. I'd recommend a stop in for a dog and a soda pop!

We enjoyed a couple of classics: turtle sundae and strawberry shortcake. Love the retro memorabilia!

Two people served, Bryanna K and another gentleman in the which I did get his name. Bryanna was our main server. Both were super nice and not overbearing which I liked. A lot of places have good presentation without the flavor to follow up. This did not happened here. My daughter really enjoyed her salad and I equally enjoyed the tacos. I am a fan of steak fries, so I was excited to have some nice thick fries with my lunch. The tortilla soup was just as good. I have not set place in this spot since it was Nosh. I don't know why I waited so long. The service and food were great.

An amazing time!…read more First time here and we will definitely be coming back as the food was amazing but the drinks.. holy moly, those were outstanding! Got to try 11 of them and each one was smooth and it was like drinking juices. All of them had great flavor and some had fun unique twists. To start out with, they had a busy night, between Frank Senatra night where their live entertainment was great, it was also homecoming, so the place was packed, which wasnt a bother as they also have quieter outdoor seating (just have to watch out for the bugs! ) The food came out in droves as one of our guys at the table decided to go down the list and order one of each of the appetizers, (note: we were only a table of 5) all of which were pretty great. My favorite probably was the salmon bruchetta followed up by the seasonal burrata! However, some of the guys devoured the chips & goods while the wings dissappeared so fast. Killing most of the appetizers, we moved onto the main course. I got the apple brie flatbread which was really good and sweet. The carmalized onions paired with the melty bri and fresh apples very well. While another friend ended up woth their watermelon feta salad which was pretty decent. Overall it was a great night and we decided we would be coming back for another fun night out in the future.
