If you like soft serve ice cream this place is for your place. They also have great chicken. The staff is super friendly and offers amazing service!

This spot along Rt 30 in Hinckley is a traditional stop for many families driving home after a weekend at Woodhaven Lakes. They have many frozen treats to choose from that hit the spot on a hot day as well as more substantial diner fare like cheeseburgers and fries. There is usually a line to order but it moves quickly. It has that clean and cute 1950's vibe and a great employer of teenagers. Our grandchildren love it. Good for kids and kids at heart.

In the middle of nowhere. Stopped for ice cream, shakes and a burger. Quick, clean and cute. Indoor and outdoor seating. Suppose they get busy in the summer with locals.

We used to stop at Dairy Joy on the way home from Sublette for burgers and ice cream. There is a walk up window outside and also the option to order inside. There are table inside and outside. Dairy Joy has been around for decades. They offer many food items, but the burgers and fries are by far the best. The service was friendly, food was great and, of course, we ended with ice cream that was delicious. You feel as if you stepped back into time, small town hospitality, with great food.

our cashier Evie B. Was very rude and would not let me get my words out every time I would say something she would say "Is that it" while I was talking. Also she filled my drink only half way and did not care.

    'Old School' as it gets.

'Time-Warp' Ice Cream Joint with all the fixins'. Two carry-out windows provide an opportunity for those needing a momentary 'Sugar Buzz', or some Classic Fried Chicken cooked to order. Old School as it gets... .

There's something about neighborhood ice cream places that bring me joy. Dairy itself, however, doesn't bring me much joy... just a little bit of tummy discomfort. So, Dairy Joy? A bit of an oxymoron for me. Thankfully, I was happy here. :) The place itself is pretty perfect: local, roadside ice cream/burger joint with a walk-up window and inside seating (if preferred). Located next to the railroad tracks, it makes for a pretty nostalgic location... especially when the local little league team is here after their Friday night game, running around in the grass and enjoying ice cream. My husband and I each got dipped vanilla cones: cherry for me, chocolate for him. They were the perfect kind of sticky, drippy cones (but not too messy) that goes along with warm summer nights. The menu also has assorted dairy treats, burgers, hot dogs, fries, sodas, the usual. The prices were higher than I expected (a little over $5 for both our small cones), but still much lower than an ice cream chain, and SO much better! If you find yourself out west of the 'burbs on Route 30, make Dairy Joy one of your stops!

This place is too cute! The people working here are super nice and friendly. There's a walk-up window to get a quick bite and also a dining area inside and outside to enjoy your snack/meal. I came here for milk shake, which comes in a variety of flavors that can be mixed and matched. I went with a medium strawberry banana shake $2.45 and was thick and delicious. You have the option of strawberry syrup or fresh strawberries. They use real banana in their shakes and I could taste the little chunks. The fried chicken here was also fantastic! For $4, I got a 2 piece chicken snack, which came with fries. The drumstick and the breast were lightly coated and cooked to perfection. Chicken takes about 20 minutes to make, but I wasn't in a hurry and had my shake to keep me occupied. There were tons of other items on the menu to choose from that I'll have to come back and try...burgers, hotdogs, fish, sandwiches, wings, sundaes, banana splits, etc. The pizza puff and the taco puff look good! There is one small bathroom inside.

The poached pears were exquisite. The fresh spinach and thin-sliced pears were the perfect bed (better than arugula would have been) and the crans, feta and crushed nuts were great for balance and texture. But let's talk about that chicken's agave marinade. It was zesty with a slight acidic citrus to balance the sweetness from the pear. The whole deal was delicious. And with the maple-dijon vinaigrette to top it off - well, that topped it off! My buddy got a Hippie Chic sandwich and he liked it very much too. I don't usually write reviews on first visits and certainly never before for a salad but the Vault is a gem that should be on full display, not locked away!

Two other tables (seated after us by the other waitress) had been seated and got drinks before our someone came to our table. When I did get my water it had plastic wrap in it. Why so long? And again no acknowledgement of the plastic.. couldnt get myself to drink anything else with worry of contamination of the ice box. Order the california chicken sandwich and brussel sprouts. My mother had the smash burger. She seemed to enjoy it though both sandwiches were stacked super tall and mine had two huge thick red o ions on it. A bit overpowering but mine was good after that was removed. Brussel sprouts were significantly salty. Wasnt able to get through them. My mom got the fries and tho were standard. She also got a bloody mary. It was alright she seemed to enjoy it. Waitress was a little sarcastic with us for no reason and the plastic and just overall service was unfortunate. It was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth and I dont plan to return.
