Came here with my family when we were in the area today as my sister recommended it! I was excited to see they had a bunch of in-house made syrups which is a coffee shop green flag for me. I got a decaf espresso tonic which was seasonal and had orange and mint. My sister had a lemonade, my mom had a chai, my dad had black tea, and my brother in law had a strawberry matcha. My son got a butter croissant which he was kind enough to share some with us haha. They brought our drinks out to us which was nice! Everything we got was delivered fairly quickly and was SO good, we all really enjoyed our drinks. Nice vibes in here too. And clean bathrooms. Glad I got to try it! read more

I walked in and said hi to the crew, no one said anything (wondered if I was not loud enough? ) Took no joke 15 min to finally get my drinks I was on the run and just passing through Aurora so i was somewhat inpatient. This place was cute and had ample seating-- though nearly every seating option was leather and they've got lots of animal fur rugs. If that's your jam - you may like this place more than I did. I enjoyed the matcha latte and the latte art was gorgeous. Service was good, wifi connection was good; this place would be a nice remote work environment. read more

We've been coming to Society 57 almost bi weekly, the space is always super clean, and welcoming, with a modern and cozy atmosphere. We really like the coffee here, it's so flavorful, they also have a self-serve water station with glasses and cups, which is such a thoughtful touch and makes the experience even better. We've tried the croissants several times, but personally, I'm not the biggest fan of the consistency since they lean more toward a puff pastry style (which tends to flake apart into layers more than the traditional bread-like dough of a classic croissant). That's just my preference though, plenty of people might really enjoy that lighter, flakier texture. It would be to see a few more food options or a slightly larger bread/pastry menu though, but besides that, we highly recommend it! read more

Talk about AESTHETIC literally the perfect place to come & study, read a book, or just enjoy a light meal/snack & drink. I stumbled upon this on accident and definitely plan on returning. I wish they had longer hours but I'm grateful in the same breath... I don't think I'd ever leave! I do feel their small bites are a little overpriced, but they're definitely good so I can't say I wouldn't pay the price again. Ok. What a perfect spot--for coffe and treats! While visiting Aurora, we found this place to grab coffee. We are always looking to support locally owned businesses. This one is a great one. We were greeted immediately by friendly and happy faces. The staff was helpful and nice to converse with. I had just eaten so I didn't give in to the temptation of freshly made croissants with monchego cheese. I regret that moment of self-control. I hear they are excellent. So, I can only comment on the coffee which I thought was very good. The space is fun and lively. Places to sit all over from tables to sofas to sofa chair combos. Work or talk with friends. They also rent out the various spaces for small events and parties. While we were there, the mayor was in the larger event space conducting a town hall meeting. Ambiance (and price...) were very NYC style but coffee was VERY lackluster. The space was also quite small. I was under the impression it would be much bigger after carefully looking at the pictures and comparing this cafe with others in the area. I got the Honey Spice Latte and thought it would be perfect for my scratchy throat due to the sudden cold weather but it strangely didn't taste like honey... nor spice? My partner got the Coconut Lavender latte (really not sure don't remember) which was entirely too sweet. Very disappointed but not surprised given the theme/concept. Unfortunately I did not enjoy my latte, it tasted water down. The croissant was okay but should have had more chocolate. They should also consider hiring more staff, there were only two employees. My coffee and pastry order for my coworker and I took 20 minutes to complete. On top of that someone that had ordered after me got their coffee order first. This is one of the coolest coffee shops I've visited. Large space with a mature and relaxing vibe, if that makes sense. Good coffee drinks, and pretty standard pricing for Chicagoland. Baristas were friendly, no complaints. Food offerings are somewhat limited but typical for a coffee shop of this type. Convenient to the Aurora Amtrak/Metra station and the Fox River Trail (for walking & bicycling). Free Wi-Fi and plenty of seating. Perfect for small group meetings, studying, and lounging. I love this place! My husband and I are visiting family and wanted to grab a nice latte to sip on while doing errands. To our surprise, this place was so inviting , warm and cozy that we decided to drink our lattes there. We also ordered a coconut chocolate almond croissant. It honestly was the most delicious croissant I've ever had. They heated it up so it was gooey delicious. To drink, I ordered a honey spice latte and my husband got a Black Forest matcha latte. Both had unique tastes and beautiful latte art. I highly recommend and promise I'll be back to have more of this menu. The staff is so friendly and brings all the items you ordered to your seated area (which by the way is plentiful and nicely decorated). The place has a NYC loft vibe and I just love it. It's right across the street from the Aurora Public Library and in the heart of the history of downtown Aurora. The service is great! Aurora has another good coffee place and there's food for breakfast and brunch. It has been terrific each time whether in morning or for later. Society 57 is surprisingly bright and spacious. Lots of comfortable chairs and couches. The prices aren't bad on most of the coffee and food. Coffee is the main thing of course. I like to get their specialties, of which there's quite a few. The best so far is the Mexico Washed. It's $3.50 for a regular. This is made with caramel, chocolate, and orange flavored beans and it's good to warm up with. Avocado toast is the main food. They have a few to choose from with similar but different toppings. Avocado 2.0 is the best. It's $9 for a slice. This comes with arugula, cotija, garlic, lemon, lime, sea salt, and tomatoes on campagne toast. Get it vegan by leaving off cotija. This isn't cheap toast but it's a pretty big slice. Has lots of good coffees with whole beans. It also has plenty to munch on. The prices aren't cheap but they're not crazy high for most things. read more

A buddy told me about this place, and seeing as it's located on a bike path that I frequent, I made a point of stopping in recently. This is a large venue for a coffee shop. It would seem that they offer other 'things' here. Whether that be musical performers or something else, I could not say. But I loved the large space atmosphere, and the fact that they let me bring my bike in while I downed my coffee. The barista was cool and informative. The coffee drink that I ordered is made a little bit differently here, which he explained straight up. I really enjoyed their version. Looking forward to making many future stops here. I came to society 57 for the first time last week bc of the amazing reviews! I drove 20 mins and it was WORTH IT. I was looking forward to their breakfast menus and unique coffees. It was pretty busy when I got there on a Saturday morning and they ran out of the salmon sandwich so I got the coconut guava croissant. It did not disappoint! It was sooooo buttery and perfectly sweet. I paired it with an iced cold brew and it was the perfect combination. There are many seats available to study and/or chat w friends. This is a solid very chill Coffee shop. Simple small menu. Some VERY unique drinks on the daily special. The coffee is about a 8/10 in my book. That said, everyone has different tastes so take that as you will. The atmosphere is Amazing! Super chill, huge space, lots of couches and comfy seating. Also has some large spaces for events and an upstairs area I have not seen. They have a small food selection, I highly recommend the chocolate Croissant warmed up!
