I never really write reviews so writing this means a lot lol. This banana bread matcha latte was DELISH. It was my first time there and the staff is very friendly, very quiet study-like vibes. 10/10 read more

*Iced matcha latte with oatmilk unsweetened - had a nice hue, oddly couldn't really taste the matcha, the oatmilk is on the sweeter than I'd prefer *Iced latte with oatmilk - the beans have pleasant fruity notes, but again the oatmilk is too sweet so it threw it off a bit for me. I walked in and said hi to the crew, no one said anything (wondered if I was not loud enough? ) Took no joke 15 min to finally get my drinks I was on the run and just passing through Aurora so i was somewhat inpatient. I like the industrial vibe with a plenty of natural light and seating options. It's a place conducive for computer work or a social meet up. Drinks are average. read more

Came here with my family when we were in the area today as my sister recommended it! I was excited to see they had a bunch of in-house made syrups which is a coffee shop green flag for me. I got a decaf espresso tonic which was seasonal and had orange and mint. My sister had a lemonade, my mom had a chai, my dad had black tea, and my brother in law had a strawberry matcha. My son got a butter croissant which he was kind enough to share some with us haha. They brought our drinks out to us which was nice! Everything we got was delivered fairly quickly and was SO good, we all really enjoyed our drinks. Nice vibes in here too. And clean bathrooms. Glad I got to try it! read more

I've been on a matcha kick lately and Society 57 hit the spot. Comfy couches and chairs for conversation and plenty of tables for working. There was a group using one of the rooms for what looked like a book club. Love this and would 100% come back for both the matcha and for the vibes. read more

This place was cute and had ample seating-- though nearly every seating option was leather and they've got lots of animal fur rugs. If that's your jam - you may like this place more than I did. I enjoyed the matcha latte and the latte art was gorgeous. Service was good, wifi connection was good; this place would be a nice remote work environment. read more

We've been coming to Society 57 almost bi weekly, the space is always super clean, and welcoming, with a modern and cozy atmosphere. We really like the coffee here, it's so flavorful, they also have a self-serve water station with glasses and cups, which is such a thoughtful touch and makes the experience even better. We've tried the croissants several times, but personally, I'm not the biggest fan of the consistency since they lean more toward a puff pastry style (which tends to flake apart into layers more than the traditional bread-like dough of a classic croissant). That's just my preference though, plenty of people might really enjoy that lighter, flakier texture. It would be to see a few more food options or a slightly larger bread/pastry menu though, but besides that, we highly recommend it! read more

Great coffee shop in downtown Aurora! Across from the library. Very spacious, good vibe, nice decor! Americano was excellent! AND their avocado toast was so awesome! I love avocado toast and try them at new coffee shops or restaurants. Not many places have such fresh avocado toasts but this shop offers very fresh avocado toast!!! I am so happy to find a great coffee shop! Anytime I visit Aurora, I have to be back. read more

Talk about AESTHETIC literally the perfect place to come & study, read a book, or just enjoy a light meal/snack & drink. I stumbled upon this on accident and definitely plan on returning. I wish they had longer hours but I'm grateful in the same breath... I don't think I'd ever leave! I do feel their small bites are a little overpriced, but they're definitely good so I can't say I wouldn't pay the price again. I also notice they seem to be very community-centered- there were a lot of other business' information, things to do around Aurora, etc. Would recommend any day! read more

This is one of the coolest coffee shops I've visited. Large space with a mature and relaxing vibe, if that makes sense. Good coffee drinks, and pretty standard pricing for Chicagoland. Baristas were friendly, no complaints. Food offerings are somewhat limited but typical for a coffee shop of this type. Convenient to the Aurora Amtrak/Metra station and the Fox River Trail (for walking & bicycling). Free Wi-Fi and plenty of seating. Perfect for small group meetings, studying, and lounging. Downtown Aurora has some cool shops and restaurants and history for those who are interested. read more

Ok. What a perfect spot--for coffe and treats! While visiting Aurora, we found this place to grab coffee. We are always looking to support locally owned businesses. This one is a great one. We were greeted immediately by friendly and happy faces. The staff was helpful and nice to converse with. I had just eaten so I didn't give in to the temptation of freshly made croissants with monchego cheese. I regret that moment of self-control. I hear they are excellent. So, I can only comment on the coffee which I thought was very good. The space is fun and lively. Places to sit all over from tables to sofas to sofa chair combos. Work or talk with friends. They also rent out the various spaces for small events and parties. While we were there, the mayor was in the larger event space conducting a town hall meeting. Finally, the bathrooms were Tastefully decorated and very clean. Wonderful place in the heart of Aurora. read more

Ambiance (and price...) were very NYC style but coffee was VERY lackluster. The space was also quite small. I was under the impression it would be much bigger after carefully looking at the pictures and comparing this cafe with others in the area. I got the Honey Spice Latte and thought it would be perfect for my scratchy throat due to the sudden cold weather but it strangely didn't taste like honey... nor spice? My partner got the Coconut Lavender latte (really not sure don't remember) which was entirely too sweet. Very disappointed but not surprised given the theme/concept. Save your money on drinks but nice place to study with 1 other person. read more

The best smoked salmon breakfast sandwich ever! A great avocado toast for breakfast too! What a great spot for Aurora! Exciting!

Unfortunately I did not enjoy my latte, it tasted water down. The croissant was okay but should have had more chocolate. They should also consider hiring more staff, there were only two employees. My coffee and pastry order for my coworker and I took 20 minutes to complete. On top of that someone that had ordered after me got their coffee order first. There are other place with better coffee, pastries, and service. read more

This coffee house has it all! Aromatic coffee, flaky pastries, roomy and comfy seating, vibing music (not too loud!), and friendly staff. My favorites were the Vietnamese Coffee by Nguyen with condensed milk and the prosciutto manchego croissant. The coffee was strong without being bitter and the pastry was flaky with a nice saltiness from the prosciutto and toasted notes from the sesame topping. Come here to relax, work, catch up with friends! Do it all at the have it all coffee house! read more

I love this place! My husband and I are visiting family and wanted to grab a nice latte to sip on while doing errands. To our surprise, this place was so inviting , warm and cozy that we decided to drink our lattes there. We also ordered a coconut chocolate almond croissant. It honestly was the most delicious croissant I've ever had. They heated it up so it was gooey delicious. To drink, I ordered a honey spice latte and my husband got a Black Forest matcha latte. Both had unique tastes and beautiful latte art. I highly recommend and promise I'll be back to have more of this menu. The staff is so friendly and brings all the items you ordered to your seated area (which by the way is plentiful and nicely decorated). The place has a NYC loft vibe and I just love it. It's relaxing: quiet enough to study and work from if you need to. I highly recommend trying this spot, it is just wonderful! read more

Aurora has another good coffee place and there's food for breakfast and brunch. It has been terrific each time whether in morning or for later. Society 57 is surprisingly bright and spacious. Lots of comfortable chairs and couches. The prices aren't bad on most of the coffee and food. Coffee is the main thing of course. I like to get their specialties, of which there's quite a few. The best so far is the Mexico Washed. It's $3.50 for a regular. This is made with caramel, chocolate, and orange flavored beans and it's good to warm up with. Avocado toast is the main food. They have a few to choose from with similar but different toppings. Avocado 2.0 is the best. It's $9 for a slice. This comes with arugula, cotija, garlic, lemon, lime, sea salt, and tomatoes on campagne toast. Get it vegan by leaving off cotija. This isn't cheap toast but it's a pretty big slice. Has lots of good coffees with whole beans. It also has plenty to munch on. The prices aren't cheap but they're not crazy high for most things. read more

Society57 does not disappoint!!! This coffee shop is the ideal location to bring in your Saturday morning quiet time with coffee and a comforting book. It's right across the street from the Aurora Public Library and in the heart of the history of downtown Aurora. The service is great! The patrons are respectful and will serve you your food at your seat. The food could use a bit more flavor, but it doesn't take away from anything. I hope to see more drink choices in the coming days, but this coffee shop is a small town girls dream read more

Everything I got was delicious! The breakfast sandwich was great and the bacon was thick and cooked nicely. The matcha was nice and smooth too, and the chocolate almond croissant was divine! It's more of a dessert than breakfast pastry and it's very large, but it's great because I can eat it for dessert later :) the vibes are clean, modern, almost industrial, with lots of cute and comfy seating options. This coffee shop is beautiful and serves up some great drinks/pastries! I got the matcha which tasted very authentic and not sweet. My boyfriend tried one of the specials which was a honey spice latte.. very interesting and unique flavor! A buddy told me about this place, and seeing as it's located on a bike path that I frequent, I made a point of stopping in recently. This is a large venue for a coffee shop. It would seem that they offer other 'things' here. Whether that be musical performers or something else, I could not say. But I loved the large space atmosphere, and the fact that they let me bring my bike in while I downed my coffee. The barista was cool and informative. The coffee drink that I ordered is made a little bit differently here, which he explained straight up. I really enjoyed their version. Looking forward to making many future stops here. Cheers. read more

Coffee was good but service is sloooow! The place was nearly empty and it took 25 minutes for a cup of coffee, just a simple cup.

I came to society 57 for the first time last week bc of the amazing reviews! I drove 20 mins and it was WORTH IT. I was looking forward to their breakfast menus and unique coffees. It was pretty busy when I got there on a Saturday morning and they ran out of the salmon sandwich so I got the coconut guava croissant. It did not disappoint! It was sooooo buttery and perfectly sweet. I paired it with an iced cold brew and it was the perfect combination. There are many seats available to study and/or chat w friends. I sat in the back room with a wall full of arts. It was a cozy vibe for a cold morning. There's plenty of street parking, which is always a plus. read more
